Waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, swimming in a natural mineral hot springs while surrounded by huge snow-capped mountains

Great tour of the Norwegian countryside with a local resident. Our guide was the owner of the company. He’s lived his whole life in the area so knows it well. He is a small business owner.
The places we went to were interesting. A nice walk to a waterfall, a visit to the turf houses and then to the thermal baths.
We also had a very interesting stop inside the tunnel that goes through the mountain.
We were back to the cruise ship in plenty of time for departure.

This was a wonderful tour. The tour operator responded promptly to our inquiry regarding meeting location.
Our tour guide was friendly and full of information. She chattered the entire time to each location with wonderful information and cute stories.
Our driver was very skilled driving the winding roads.
The falls were easily accessible and a MUST SEE. Absolutely gorgeious.
We enjoyed the visit to the Tuff houses and seeing the history of the local area.
The Forest Bath house was wonderful. They rent bathing suits & towels if you forget (which my suit was left in our room!). Glad I was able to participate because we had already paid for the entrance fee and we realized when we arrived my suit was missing.

What a great day! Our guide was amazing - so knowledgable and engaging! We loved everything we saw and did. And the Forest baths at the end were soooo much fun and beautiful. And who doesnt appreciate a swim up bar. Try a “Sarti” spritz!

Goddafoss Falls a must do in Akeuryri . Bucket list ticked! The Turf Houses were also very interesting and we ended up in the Forest Lagoon for a lovely soak in the warm thermal water. Badhur from Fox Adventure was a great guide and driver!

Baldur, our expert guide, was an amazing person to show us his town. We got local insight into all things Icelandic including which farmers were his friends, were selling their farms, etc. He was very genuine, kind and funny and a great guide. We started at the Goddafoss waterfall, slowed in the road to see Icelandic horses up close, got an inside tour at the tunnel where we were able to FEEL the hot springs coursing through, went to the turf houses and ended at the lovely Forrest Lagoon. Such an adventure! Note that the Forrest Lagoon tickets were not included and we had to pay for those in addition to what we already paid for the tour (it's in the exclusions section). We plan to go back to Iceland soon and if we are in Akureyri again we will absolutely ask Baldur and Fox Adventures to be our tour guides again on a slightly different adventure! Highly recommend!

Saw a bit of everything. Of course ending in hot springs was a great ending. The smaller van was better then the big bed and very comfy

Fantastic trip with “Garfield” as our guide. He took us to a few places to see on the way to the specific destinations so we learned more about Iceland and the culture and heritage here. Godafoss was beautiful! The Turf Houses were a fascinating piece of history. We also loved the Forest Lagoon though it’s a very small place. Worth the money for the trip!

We had THE BEST day! Baldur was the sweetest, most attentive and knowledgeable guide we’ve ever encountered on a cruise excursion. NOT booking through our cruise line was the best decision! We were picked up right at our ship, rode around in a clean Mercedes van, and spent the day with a very small group. The stops were exactly as described and we couldn’t have been any happier with how the day unfolded. The waterfall was breathtaking, the turf houses were super cool and the lagoon was incredibly relaxing. We would absolutely do this again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting this adorable city in Iceland!

Baltur (sounds like Walter but with a B) was so personable, kind and funny. Clearly a proud Icelander and lover of animals! The coach was very comfortable and with him the day flew by! A couple of notes re forest baths- staff were not friendly nor particularly helpful. Our check in fellow knew that all 12 of us were first timers but I found his information scant and lacking in warmth and welcome. We did not know that a towel was not included in the entry price so had to find out while dripping wet after our showers. All in all, Fox Adventures delivered a very good day and experience. We would definitely sign up for another day with Baltur (sp)

The tour and all three stops were great experiences. Our guide, Baldur, was an excellent tour guide. Very friendly knowledgeable about the stops and about general life in Iceland. The smaller group was also a plus and the bus was very comfortable. I absolutely recommend booking this tour.

A perfect day!
Our tour guide was exceptional. One of the best we have ever had! Fox Adventure is a great small business!
The waterfall is beautiful. You can walk to the left and right of it and also walk to the base. We had a little over an hour to explore and found that to be the right amount of time.
The Turf House and Church were so unique and well preserved. The docent was very informative and helpful. The setting is stunning! We stayed there about an hour also. They have a little shop with many handmade items. The staff makes many of them!
The Forest Lagoon was both relaxing and fun! The main pool is very large and the temperature is great. There is smaller but still large 40-41 C pool if you want it hotter and a 18 C cold plunge pool. Plus the dry steam sauna.
There are 2 swim up bars and a restaurant.
They give you a wrist band with an electronic chip that you use to order drinks and lock/unlock the complimentary lockers. You pay as you exit.
You can stay as long as you want, it is open until midnight! Just tell the driver you would like to stay longer. There is a complimentary shuttle that will take you back to town.
It is a wonderful place!

This small tour group is perfect, our guide was so friendly and full of information and kindness. We would definitely recommend this tour company. It is not rushed, stops are just the right amount of time. The guide is a local and really gives you a feel of the area. Tour bus is comfortable and the driver is careful at driving, book it, you won't be disappointed!

Headed out on our excursion to Godafoss, then to Laufás, ending with Forest Lagoon and were not disappointed. Our tour guide was AWESOME! We had a great time hearing all the interesting information he shared throughout the tour, which he personalized for our small group. The stops were amazing & we never felt rushed. If you want a more personalized experience THIS is the group to go with!

Touring with Viator and our guide Baltar was fantastic! He had great stories to share and did much more than just what was in the tour description! Wild Islandic horses! The waterfalls were pretty awesome, too!

The tour was good, but it would have been better if a group of 8 people with 2 young children were not part of our small group as everyone had to wait for them at each of the 3 tour stops and they generally didn't care whether we had to wait for them.
Godafoss was a bit disappointing as we thought the waterfall was larger; otherwise, it was nice. Very crowded site.
Turf Houses were interesting to see how the early Icelanders lived.
Forest Lagoon Baths - beautiful setting, but unfortunately very crowded when we arrived. Drinks at the baths are not cheap as there were no prices posted. The wristband technology to lock your locker and to run tab for drinks was neat. Water in baths was like being in a warm bath....it wasn't hot or scalding.

First Class treatment- from communication through the end of the tour day. Perfect way to spend a few hours off the cruise ship. We lucked out and the tour ended up being just the two of us with the guide, who happened to be the owner of the company. We feel like we got special treatment and so may facts/ details about the area and stops. We were given plenty of time to experience each stop. Loved the turf houses and ending at the lagoon was perfect. On the way back to the shop, we were taken to see Icelandic horses- beautiful! Highly recommend this tour and the tour company.

Excellent! Every stop was so well thought out, timed and had great detail. The tunnel stop was such a surprise, the waterfall is genuinely majestic, the turf houses were fascinating and way cooler than we anticipated, the lagoon was so worth it and so relaxing and I can’t believe we got to pet Icelandic horses!!! Cannot recommend this tour enough!! We were on a cruise ship and he is a pro with timing and it’s not a worry at all. An absolutely special day!!

Absolutely fantastic tour! The waterfall, grass house history museum and the lagoon were an amazing experience. And the cherry on top... stopping to see the Icelandic horses filled our souls to the brim! So incredibly grateful.... Thank you Baldur for making our day so special and memorable. Badour was excellent. I enjoyed hearing his love of the country and it's customs. The falls were amazing, the tuft houses were cool. The baths were excellent, I just wish we could've spent more time there. For the price paid, my only recommendation would be to allow us to spend more time at each stop so we're not as rushed.
