Excellent tour with knowledgeable guide.
Nice van for transport and small group size.
We were on a cruise and this tour was much better than the ones thru the cruise line.

There was lots of confusion about the meeting location. We came off from Norwegian cruise ship, no clear direction telling us where to meet exactly just said outside of the Celebrity terminal. It took me 30 minutes walked around to finally found out where they located. I found out from other tourists in same group and they got directly picked up from their Regent cruise ship. It was not accommodating to us that we were from the Norwegian cruise ship. We paid the same fare, why we had different treatment! 🥲

This was a very relaxed tour but we got to see everything. The Godafuss Waterfall was beautiful and more magical when a rainbow appeared. Also went to the Forest Lagoon

Our guide was fantastic and we learned so much about Iceland. The falls weee beautiful. The turf house was interesting and we were the only group there at the time. The Forest Lagoon was incredibly relaxing. But be aware that private showers/changing rooms are very limited.

No one at the Fox Adventures Kiosk at the port when we arrived. It took us some time to find our travel vehicle because it was not marked Fox Advenures. Otherwise it was a well organized and properly paced tour. We could have spent a little more time at the Turf Houses, but not at the expense of less time at the Forrest Lagoon. Overall we were happy with this Small group excursion.

Our guide eas amazing. She made sure we stayed on schedule but we did not feel rushed at all. This was a nice change to the ship excursions and they were very aware of the time limitations for those of us needing to get on the ship. Would recommend to anyone traveling through here via cruise.

The tour was replaced by a similar tour which was very good. The guide/driver was excellent..lots of knowledge of history, geography and events that made for an interesting commentary. She was also good about keeping us ahead of the larger tour busses..a very enjoyable day and we were back on time.

This tour was incredible. We got a message a few days before the tour with the option to upgrade to see more sites - so we ended up seeing Godafoss Waterfall, Lake Myvtan area, Dimmuborgir lava fields, Hverir geothermal area, Grjotagja cave, and the forest baths (I believe this is called the "Lake Myvtan Tour"). I'm so glad we were able to upgrade - Lake Myvtan was beautiful, the lava fields were so interesting, the geothermal area ("boiling mud pits") were so cool, and the Grjotagja cave sits on top of the mid atlantic ridge so we got to see the fault line and go inside the cave to feel the warm spring.
Our guide was Monica and she was absolutely incredible - my favorite tour guide out of the 6 excursions we went on this trip. She was a wealth of knowledge and passionate about icelandic culture and history, she taught us so much.
Couple of notes - in the north there are flies in the summer, which can be quite irritating sworming around your head. We were able to buy face nets which helped, but if you have one you should bring it in case. The forest baths were AMAZING (not included in the price of the tour but definitely worth the entry price, about $60 USD per person)- way better than the blue lagoon. Make sure you bring your swimsuit and a towel, as well as a change of clothes and a brush/toiletries. The tour is long but there was a stop where you could buy food at the lake Myvtan area, but I still recommend bringing water and snacks.
The bus was equipped with AC/Heat and Wifi. It was a very comfortable tour, definitely recommend, and the company was wonderful to work with!

We were coming off an NCL cruise ship and this worked perfectly! We were upgraded to the longer tour for free... great suprise! Our tour guide, Margie [?], had her masters in Icelandic history and was so interesting. Be sure to read up on the culture of the baths before going. Definitely recommend

This was a great tour. The driver was knowledgeable. The location of the pick up for us was ideal as it was right outside of the cruise ship security gate. Had a good amount of time at each stop. Baths are not included in the price but it was easy to take care of when we meet them for the tour to add it. Van was very comfortable and very glad we did a small group tour.

Such a fun trip from the start. Great local history to go along. When we had a mishap with a forgotten bag our driver went out of his way to assist and drive us back. Simply an amazing trip and guide!

The tour was nice but the bus was small. It seated 16 people and all 16 seats were full. I had the misfortune of getting on the bus last and I was stuck with the very last seat. Very uncomfortable seating. The driver Ohn was very nice, gave us a lot of information. The scenery at Godafoss was spectacular. The Laufas was interesting. Best of all was the Forrest Lagoon spa. We stopped 50 mins at the Laufas but only an hour at the spa. 20 mins is sufficient for the Laufas, more time should be allocated to the spa experience. Please consider this as it is the highlight of our trip. Just the time at the spa was short.

Great tour of the Norwegian countryside with a local resident. Our guide was the owner of the company. He’s lived his whole life in the area so knows it well. He is a small business owner.
The places we went to were interesting. A nice walk to a waterfall, a visit to the turf houses and then to the thermal baths.
We also had a very interesting stop inside the tunnel that goes through the mountain.
We were back to the cruise ship in plenty of time for departure.

This was a wonderful tour. The tour operator responded promptly to our inquiry regarding meeting location.
Our tour guide was friendly and full of information. She chattered the entire time to each location with wonderful information and cute stories.
Our driver was very skilled driving the winding roads.
The falls were easily accessible and a MUST SEE. Absolutely gorgeious.
We enjoyed the visit to the Tuff houses and seeing the history of the local area.
The Forest Bath house was wonderful. They rent bathing suits & towels if you forget (which my suit was left in our room!). Glad I was able to participate because we had already paid for the entrance fee and we realized when we arrived my suit was missing.

Goddafoss Falls a must do in Akeuryri . Bucket list ticked! The Turf Houses were also very interesting and we ended up in the Forest Lagoon for a lovely soak in the warm thermal water. Badhur from Fox Adventure was a great guide and driver!

Baldur, our expert guide, was an amazing person to show us his town. We got local insight into all things Icelandic including which farmers were his friends, were selling their farms, etc. He was very genuine, kind and funny and a great guide. We started at the Goddafoss waterfall, slowed in the road to see Icelandic horses up close, got an inside tour at the tunnel where we were able to FEEL the hot springs coursing through, went to the turf houses and ended at the lovely Forrest Lagoon. Such an adventure! Note that the Forrest Lagoon tickets were not included and we had to pay for those in addition to what we already paid for the tour (it's in the exclusions section). We plan to go back to Iceland soon and if we are in Akureyri again we will absolutely ask Baldur and Fox Adventures to be our tour guides again on a slightly different adventure! Highly recommend!
