Beautiful waterfalls and nice slopped walkway to the view.
Your guide was informative and friendly.
Highly recommend.

Easy to find the bus, and very close to the Cruise ship pier. Super friendly and helpful staff. The tour lasted about 3 hours and gave you plenty of time to see the waterfall.

Had a wonderful experience with Saga Travel and Hilmar, our guide. The bus ride was smooth, taking us through a very long tunnel going to the falls and through the mountain pass on the way back. Pathways to and around the falls are easy; very manageable. Saga Travel has a connection to this quaint Hotel there, so coffee and a Nordic pastry were a pleasant surprise. Great morning, beautiful falls! We highly recommend this tour!!

Beautiful scenery and history of Iceland and its people. Our guide Runar and driver Andri were the best!
Donald_G, Sep 2025
Outstanding scenery with an informative, personable guide. We took the scenic route to the magnificent waterfalls passing through the countryside where homes and farms sit nestled at the base of snow capped volcanic peaks. This is Iceland at its best.

Belin did a great job with our small group. There were 4 of us as English speakers and 2 Spanish speakers for this tour. The pick up location at the cruise port was convenient as well. Our excursion was exactly as described and well worth our time and money. The waterfall was spectacular!

Saga did a great job of running this tour. Manuel was a great tour guide, keeping us entertained. The falls were gorgeous. Bus comfy. What seemed different from other tours there was the ticket they gave us to access the hotel bathrooms for free and get free coffee or tea and an Icelandic donut type thing. Nice to sit inside where warm.

Wonderful experience in iceland. We all had fun. I would highly suggest this tour. It’s one of best waterfalls to see

Knowledgable tour guide. Comfortable buses .
Efficient and on time. Falls gorgeous and had plenty of time to explore.

Tour guide, Manuel, was excellent. Loads of interesting facts on the coach journey. The waterfall was pretty amazing and almost in the middle of nowhere! Great excursion and would recommend.

Wonderful experience with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable folks. We wish we had more time to do other tours with them. We were on a cruise and this eso much more affordable (and arguably better) than the excursion from the ship.

Beautiful Falls lots of great opportunities for photos. Short trip to get there. Also enjoyed going through the 5 mile long tunnel. It is an experience to leave the port into the tunnel and when we popped out, we were in a different inland location.

I can’t put into words how amazing this tour was!
Our guide ARANCHA is from Spain, we took the tour in Spanish and she was super knowledgeable! Took her time to show us everything and share her knowledge! Such a great experience!

Excellent excursion with a smooth pick up and leave off. Guide was knowledgeable, personable and informative.

It;s a good waterfall available to see from many different vantage points. One of the largest on the island of Iceland.
Heidi_T, Aug 2025
Our tour guide was fabulous and knowledgeable. He made the bus ride enjoyable. Adequate time allowed at the falls.

I just wanted a quick trip to check a box but this turned out to be a very well organized and curated thrill. It was so much more than a bus ride, we learned a great deal about Iceland, the falls, living in Iceland, some nice local music selections we would otherwise never get to hear and a bonus stop for some magnificent selfies on the way back. Saga is very reliable and aware of your schedule and concerns. They will take care of you better than your cruise-line’s operator.

Our guide, Julie, was AMAZING! Such a wealth of knowledge and history. Great tour with a great guide. Julie’s personality was the bonus

Very knowledgeable and fun tour guide. Great tour to take to visit the waterfall. We also had the option to end the tour at the garden above town and walk back to the cruise ship on our own. The botanical garden was very lovely and the unexpected option was appreciated.
Alan_W, Aug 2025
Our guide Runar was very informative and knowledgeable about Iceland in general along with its history. He made the tour very interesting and easy to understand. We enjoyed spending the afternoon with him. Thank you for a great experience.

A must see natural wonder! This was our 3rd time seeing the falls and it was just as wonderful. Viator is a great option for cruisers. Always back to ship on time. Drivers and tour guides are great and very informative.
RICHARD_K, Aug 2025
Beautiful scenery. Easy walk on gravel paths. The overlooks afford great views of the falls.
Our tour guide, Sally, was wonderful.

We had a wonderful time in Akureyri and visiting the Godafoss Falls with Viator & Saga Travel.
It couldn't have been any easier to get off our Celebriy ship and find a cute "hut" with Saga Travel right there after walking off the ship, to guide us to our Motorcoach for our tour. Our guide was wonderful - sorry can't remember his name, I want to call him Collin, but know that is not correct. Nice young man, funny and kind. We took a nice ride through the famous "tunnel" to beautiful landscape, and then Godafoss Falls. Our drive was about 45 minutes from the port, and we spent about 1 hour at the falls. Had a traditonal crumpet & coffee at the Hotel Akureyri for a quick rest then back onboard the Motorcoach for our return trip back to the City Center. There were 3 options to get off before arriving back to the port. The Forrest Lagoon, Botanical Gardens or City Center.
I highly recommend this tour, great guides (we had 2), exceptional driver and a very clean Motorcoach & comfortable too.
The Falls speaks for itself - beautiful. So glad we chose Viator & Saga Travel.

Great tour guide, Emma. Save yourself money and book a viatour instead of paying high cruise ship prices. Very good
Dianna_c, Aug 2025
Very nice tour and our tour guide was great! As a bonus, the tour provided us coffee/tea and an Icelandic pastry at the Godafoss hotel. We were able to sit with our coffee and pastry and still see the waterfall in the distance. The tour took the tunnel there to get us to the waterfall faster, but it came back by a longer more scenic route. The bus had Wi-Fi. The tour meeting point was only a couple of minutes from our cruise ship, and there were plenty of Saga Travel employees to make sure we found our way.
Robert_R, Aug 2025
Hillary, our guide, was excellent. The falls are spectacular. He told us much about the history of the area, and his life there.
Connie_S, Aug 2025
We had a great guide who was excited about sharing his hometown with us. We loved it! The falls were beautiful
Melissa_F, Aug 2025
Awesome experience! Hilmar, our tour guide was amazing, the waterfalls were majestic! Special treats at Hotel Godafoss were very nice, just a beautiful day! Hilmar has great info about Iceland and a wonderful sense of humor, loved talking with him, very attentive and fun! Our driver was wonderful too!
Kimberly_M, Aug 2025
It was a wonderful tour. Not super long and the bus was comfortable. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended
