Slight change of plan

I booked this tour so we could see all of the things we wanted without too many other travellers and not feeling too rushed of we had done the actual diamond circle. I was contacted by operator last minute to say dettifoss and selfoss was cancelled and we could either have part refund and do other things on the tour or full refund. I chose for us to do the tour. We had such a great time Goddfoss was stunning but cold out there. Our guide Siggy was welcoming, really friendly and knowledgeable. There were 8 in total on the tour so wasn't overwhelming or waiting for lots of people to get back. Of course I'm a little disappointed we didn't see the other 2 waterfalls but we still have an amazing day

Our guide was amazing....

Our guide was amazing. This was a small group and much better than the massive tour buses. He was a local, certified guide. It was a perfect day and a comprehensive tour of the area. Highly recommend!

Good Overall

Arman was a very good guide. He drove safely and had a positive attitude. I don’t recommend Myvatn Baths. It smells like sulfur and therefore made us smell like sulfur for days. It is expensive and there is not enough time to enjoy it. It is also under construction, so you will have a cranes in your pictures. Be ready and outside by 8:30am, not 9am. The other tours tell you this. The tour is really only 8 hours long. Good locations!

Great day tour

Great day - great guide. Some things I was a bit at a loss to see why we were there but maybe that was because of the amount of snow. The baths were fantastic and although you need to pay extra you totally should we left the waterfall til the end as too dark in the morning and I’m so glad we did. A fitting finale

Crappy weather but wonderful guide!!

Weather was pretty crappy (rained entire time). But our guide Icky was fantastic and made us forget about the weather!! He is a native Icelander from the area (actually drove by his childhood farm), and gave us great explanations of everything. He was proud and enthusiastic about his homeland which made for an excellent day!
