Wonderful, informative guide! Scenery just amazing and beyond beautiful. Bus very comfortable and the driver was very safe.

Traveled in a nice bus. The waterfall is gorgeous. It's a perfect amount of time to spend at the falls. There are a lot of little bugs flying around but the view is worth it.

Great experience, great driver, beautiful experience observing the amazing waterfalls and gorgeous countryside.Worth every penny!

The tour was just the right length of time although it was a long ride to get to the waterfall. We liked the small group experience. Our guide was excellent and knowledgeable. The waterfall was beautiful as were the Icelandic horses we stopped to see.

This waterfall is amazing!! It is a smaller Niagara Falls. We could have spent all day there. It is paved so easy to walk on. Highly recommend.

We booked the Imagine Iceland tour from the Akureyri cruise port to Goðafoss Waterfall through Viator and had a great experience. The tour was well organized and right on time. Our driver, Graham, was friendly, knowledgeable, and shared interesting information along the way. Goðafoss was absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend Imagine Iceland for cruise passengers visiting Akureyri.

Tour guide Pauli was very informative and likable. Gave us good info about Iceland. Nice big bus was very comfortable.

Great bus ride to the waterfall. Guide gave good info on the way. Waterfall was beautiful. Lots of flies up there. There are two paths. The one was not crowded and flies minimum.
The bus driver also drove through the town giving us info and allowed people to get off in various places before returning to port.

We saw so many things with so many stops! The Godafoss waterfall was beautiful but the lava formations, a cave, and the geothermal area were our favorites! So very cool to learn about Iceland in this way. Highly recommend!

It’s a can’t miss experience. The travel up there going through a tunnel. Excellent driver and guide very knowledgeable. Once you’re at the Falls, this scenery is awesome.

Trip was exactly as described. Although the weather was horrible our guide was awesome and gave us a great history of the waterfall and all the surrounding areas. He was very insightful and knowledgeable about the area. Even stopped at a few "picture" worthy stops!

The view really touched me a lot. . Much much touched me than I expected. The bus driver is so friendly. Organised so well.

Graham was a great tour guide. We enjoyed learning all about the area from him. The waterfall was amazing - despite the rain!

Be prepared for a beautiful view. Have rain gear and hiking shoes. Enjoyable trip without the Viking excursion expense.

Short and to the point. Coach bus to waterfall, stops in town at botanical gardens and downtown for shopping.

We were fortunate to have Armann Holm Smárason as our tour guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area's history, culture, and traditions, and his wonderful sense of humor made the tour both informative and entertaining.
As we traveled through town, Armann shared fascinating stories about the historic homes and explained the laws that help preserve the town's unique heritage. His passion for the area was evident throughout the tour, making the experience even more memorable.
For me, the duration of the tour was just right—the perfect amount of time to see the highlights, learn about the area, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed or exhausted.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area, and if you have the opportunity to tour with Armann Holm Smárason, don't hesitate—you'll be in excellent hands!

Our guide was excellent, both funny and informative. The falls were super-impressive. However, the weather can be a little dicey so dress warmly and in layers.
Robert_Z, Jul 2026
The path down to the waterfall shoreline is very rocky and footing can be difficult. If time permits take the footbridge t see the falls from both sides.
Darrin_T, Jul 2026
Take a light jacket in case the wind is blowing. There are pay restrooms and a place to purchase snacks and water.

Horrific experience. We were driven to the falls, told "1 hour", no other instructions. We came back to the drop off location 20 minutes early, no bus. We waited 30 minutes, walked around looking for our bus, never found it, but we're told by other companies there that our driver should have told us the pickup was behind the restaurant. We were abandoned and finally found someone who gave us a ride into town, then we walked 5 miles to our ship. We want a refund.

The most beautiful waterfalls we've ever seen! The trip was an easy bus ride and walk for magnificent views. The store and care were cute and had anything you needed. A+

Knowledgeable and interesting guide led the tour to the falls. On the way back, he stopped at several interesting locations and gave us some history of the town.

The start of our excursion was organised chaos with electronic tickets not being scanned and guests not knowing where to go. After a significant delay to the start of our journey our minibus driver drove extremely fast, overtaking multiple vehicles and even blindly swerving onto the wrong side of the road as he played with his radio, at one stage narrowly avoiding a head on collision with a tanker! Upon our arrival the minibus parked in the wrong car park, leaving family members with mobility issues much further to walk and they did not make it to the waterfall! After being rushed back onto the minibus before anyone wanted to leave, we raced back to our collection point with our driver taking a shortcut through a 7km tunnel thus denying us scenic views heading back. Some passengers were deposited at the botanical gardens instead of the collection point whereby our driver tried to reverse out of his parking spot without looking behind him and almost crashed into another minibus. He was only stopped from doing so after we shouted at him, alerting him to the imminent danger. From start to finish this was the worst excursion I have ever been on.

An extremely great experience. Easy pick up, staff friendly, comfortable transpiration and the falls were beautiful. Plenty of time to see the views and hike the area
Paul_H, Jul 2026
Great experience and the driver was very knowledgeable which made the trip. It was a long walk round but fortunately the weather was kind too us
Hedy_D, Jul 2026
Everything went smoothly. The guides were good and the fall were beautiful, but expect windy conditions.
Cheryl_A, Jul 2026
Easy access from cruise ship. Small group, friendly guide. Was given plenty of time to explore the area around the falls.
Helen_T, Jul 2026
Wonderful trip to the falls, well worth a visit. Lovely scenery on the journey and the falls themself are very dramatic.
The guide was funny and informative although the PA system was not the best and hard to pick up what was being said from the back. That might have been because it was a bus rather than a coach.
Would have given 5 stars but the bus was not the most comfortable, however it was still a great trip.

It was a great time. The waterfalls were beautiful. The guide was very knowledgeable as well. I would reccomend this tour.
