Overview
Enjoy a responsible whale-watching cruise with an eco-friendly company, and reduce the chance of motion sickness by traveling in a large stable oak boat in the sheltered waters of Eyjafjörður. Travel slowly and quietly so as not to disturb the wildlife. This leaves lots of time to soak up the scenery, and you’ll also have the chance to fish from the boat.
- Look for humpback, minke, and blue whales in the sheltered Eyjafjörður fjord
- A captain familiar with whale patterns increases your odds of sightings
- Avoid the chill—warm overalls and hot drinks are provided
- Try your hand at sea angling

This is a fun activity and well worth the time and money. We got to see some whales and the guide is great along with his team and boat. Hot chocolate and coffee and cookies are a very nice touch. We had an excellent time.

It was a very exciting whale watching experience. We saw many whales and took a lot of photos. The only concern is that the port for whale watching is a 25 min drive from Akureyri cruise terminal, so you need to arrange transportation in advance. If the company could provide transportation to the port, that would be a perfect trip.

Such an amazing experience. Friendly workers, we caught three cod, saw at least 10 whales, and really enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend this tour. For those cruising, they do have a bus that picks you up at the cruise terminal and drives you to the location.

Fun experience on a traditional Icelandic boat. About 25 minutes from Akureyri - a little out of the way but totally worth it. We were given water proof suits as well. We boarded the boat and travelled out a bit before seeing a Humpback Whale. Staff was friendly and kind always pointing out in which directly we should look for the whale watching. We also were offered coffee/hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls sort of cookies which was a nice touch. Tour is definitely an option for those with mobility issues as you go up a small ramp to enter the boat. Plenty of seating available as well. Not too crowded. Highly Recommend!

The overalls provided were plenty warm (I was worried before we went, since I have young children), and they have a wide variety of children and adult sizes. The cookies and hot chocolate were a hit with my kids. And the crew did their best to spot any animals in the water and tell us all about them. We saw lots of dolphins and two humpback whales. It was a great experience!

We enjoyed the whale watching experience and the staff and boat were great, however we expected to fish more than tossing in our line once or twice. Next time I will ensure we are booked for a fishing only tour. We were here to fish, therefore disappointed.

We found dolphins and Humpback whales right after the boat left the harbor. For 1 hour, 2 whales swam along with the boat. They were so close to us. At the last moment, they showed us their tails!! It was amazing.
The hot chocolate and buns were good, too.
We also caught cods and other fish in few minutes.!

A fantastic tour. We saw lots of whales and I caught a fish on my first time angling! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable giving us lots of facts about the whales and the whole crew was very friendly. The hot chocolate was very welcome. Loved it!

Una experiencia única! Nos encantó a todos, los guías muy profesionales y muy atentos, el café y las galletas geniales también! Pudimos ver varias ballenas bastante cerca.
Nosotros hicimos también la opción con pesca y tuvimos suerte y picó un bacalao! Solo una sugerencia y es que la pesca durase un poco más, ya que como hay que compartir caña, a penas da tiempo!
