What are people saying about Stavanger

Our guide Rasmussen was...
Our guide Rasmussen was excellent and knowledgeable. Make no mistake, this hike is challenging. Appropriate footwear and clothing are a must as even on a mild day it is very cold at the Rock. Your knees and ankles will absolutely be tested. If you do decide to do it then this is the company to do it with!

Enjoyable Trip - Good Operator
A very pleasant trip. The boat was comfortable and the crew were friendly. The pick up point in Stavanger had changed but we were given clear instructions a few days before we started our holiday. The pickup point is a short walk from the cruise terminal

Core memories made
We locked in some core memories on this trip. We had such a great time and Ola really enhanced the experience. We had music blasting, going through the fjords, and tons of laughter. We couldn’t be more happy about this experience. We saw the fjord from a different view and even got some historical context of areas we visited. We even got to taste a waterfall. Thank you again for such a great adventure.

Langfoss Waterfall
It was a well organised trip , picked up directly off ship, exactly at 10.30.
Lilly our guide was experienced with a through knowledge of all things we ever wanted to know.
The Langfoss waterfall is definitely worth a visit with a few added stops on the way there and back.
Overall I thought this trip was excellent and definitely worth every penny

The tour guide showed up...
The tour guide showed up in front of our hotel right at time. She’s very chill and detail oriented. She would introduce some history of Norway during the hike. Also introduce us some local plants. We learned a lot and had a bunch of cool picture on the top. Best view ever at Norway. The hike is very manageable even if you’re not physically strong.

This was amazing...
This was amazing experience. The big boats seemed boring and the rib boats were so exposed and really tight on space. This was a perfect blend of them both. We were a group of 4 and were joined by another group of 4 later in the journey. There was plenty of room for all. Our captain was great and gave us a wild ride.

A Rush of a Boat Tour
Our Stavanger RIB safari tour was a blast. It was a serious boat ride. The tour itself was more intensive than we were expecting, which was a welcomed surprise. Prepare to accelerate or blast off into the waves. We sat in the front of the boat, so we did get some spray and some airtime. (Again, no complaints on any of that). You’ll see cute little sea towns with 8 residents and no cars. The tour itself ended a bit earlier than advertised and it was more difficult to find the meeting point location. The directions provided were very poor, as we stepped off our cruise ship.

Lysefjorden & Pulpit Rock RIB Safari 👍
Lysefjorden & Pulpit Rock RIB Safari was a fantastic way to begin our Nordic adventure. We were fortunate to enjoy a bright, sunny day with temperatures around 15°C. The Zodiac boat was both fast and comfortable, allowing us to fully appreciate the stunning scenery of the fjord. Christian, our guide, was knowledgeable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Altogether, it was a wonderful excursion from Stavanger and a memorable start to our journey through Norway. A great combination of spectacular scenery, an exciting boat ride, and an excellent guide. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Stavanger area.

Fantastic fjord cruise
Great fjord cruise just a few hundred metres from the cruise terminal. We went on the 10am cruise.
Ship was very comfortable and the crew were fantastic, it has TVs scattered around the area so you can view where you’re going if you don’t want to venture out on deck.
Spotlessly clean and a lovely cafe on board. The visit to pulpit rock and the waterfall were the highlights
Highly recommended

Alfons…the calm and knowledgeable guide…
Easy to find the start, it’s about a 5-7min walk from the port. Alfons and his able assistant Monika were great guides. Alfons was a calm, relaxed and knowledgeable leader and I really enjoyed the experience. Bikes are stable and powerful and cater for even those not physically fit. Highly recommend

A great slice of Norwegian culture in a fun day tour
A beautiful trip up to the stunning countryside just outside Haguesund. Our tour started with a drive through the centre passing some of the important buildings and locations.
Our first stop was at the scenic viewpoint where we had time to enjoy the view before we started the walk to the charming wooden house at Kringsjåhytta. The walk was only a couple of kilometres but did include some uneven ground, steps and inclines so wear footwear that is suitable for this. Our host at Kringsjåhytta was Tom - the star of the tour - who joyfully and proudly explains the history of the location and the work that has been completed to restore the buildings to their original appearance. We enjoyed coffee and apple cake on the sunny terrace with views down to Haguesund. We loved feeding the sheep and playing fetch with Lissie the sheepdog. A wonderful experience and one that was great fun and enhanced by the small group size. We then walked back along the scenic path the meet our driver.
Our last stop was at The Rising Tide horse statues and national monument of Haraldshaugen which were both very impressive to see. This was a perfect trip and our guide Jason helped make sure everyone made the most of their time on the tour.

A wonderful and helpful guide.
It was an extremely wonderful tour. The young tour guide Hovel (may spell it wrong), was very helpful. We are an old couple, the guide helped my wife all the way up and down the mountain. Without his help, my wife would not have made the trip. Thank you.

Stavanger tours typically focus on the area’s plentiful outdoor recreation activities, such as hiking, biking, and exploring the fjords by water. These activities allow you to take in some of Norway’s most iconic views, like nearby Lysefjord, Pulpit Rock, and Kjerag Boulder, with the guidance of a local expert. Discover the city through a local’s eyes on a walking tour through narrow cobblestone streets to visit landmarks such as the Stavanger Cathedral and the city’s most colorful street, Ovre Holmegate.
