From the comfort of an air-conditioned coach (upgrade to travel by glass-topped bus), drive past the White House, the many Smithsonian museums, the National Mall, and much more. Your guide will share comprehensive narration along the way, with frequent photo-op stops at the city's historic and iconic landmarks.
You can also experience guided walks around sights such as the US Capitol, the Lincoln Memorial, the World War II Memorial, and the Korean War Veterans Memorial. Along the way, learn the history of these famous monuments, and examine them up close.

- Due to time restrictions, you cannot go inside any of the monuments, however you can spend about 15-20 minutes at each stop to enjoy up-close views
- No food allowed on buses (snacks are fine!)
- The boat cruise is seasonal from Apr 1 to Sep 30
- Convertible buses switch from open-tops to glass-tops between October and March due to colder temperatures
- If you're driving, there is street parking and garages available near the meeting location, including directly under the Navy Memorial meeting location.

This is the best way to see many things in a day. It is informative and fun. This is not for anyone with physical limitations such as walking or breathing problems. It is semi fast paced. Great for couples or individuals. Our guide and driver were great!!!

The tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I like that they provided water, it would be nice if water was cold. The bus was very HOT!! Not sure why the bus driver didn't want to turn up the a/c.
The area where we got on the boat at the Potomac river was very disorganized and chaotic. Didn't have enough time to buy food. No restrooms because the restaurants would not let you use restrooms without buying a meal and you couldn't buy a meal because the lines were so long! The 6 hrs time frame was too long. Be prepared to walk all day at a fast pace. I would not recommend anyone to do this tour. Just do the other tours for 2hrs. The boat ride on the river is nothing to talk about. You're going to be cramp on a boat with plastic chairs and a boring ride. Do not do this tour when the time is hot!!! I can only imagine how hot and miserable it is in the summer if it's this hot in May!

Really great day. Super good planning it our first day in DC. Great stops, super friendly knowledgeable guide Rob and very friendly buss driver too. Saw all the majors plus a boat ride. The pace was great. My leg was injured and I never felt rushed.

Sam, our tour guide, and Cortez, our bus driver were outstanding! Sam was very knowledgeable about all the monuments. He gave interesting insights and background information which added so much to the tour. We were able to see many monuments, plus we enjoyed lunch and a great afternoon boat ride on the Potomac. It was a very complete tour of DC. We only had one day available, so this was perfect! We especially appreciated the kindness and attentiveness by Sam toward all the guests on the bus. I highly recommend this tour for someone who has not seen much of DC. It is excellent.

We did the six hour tour of the Washington DC monuments with lunch and a boat ride in Georgetown. We really enjoyed the whole day. Cortez was an excellent bus driver who knew how to drive in any kind of Washington traffic. Our guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and he knew just how to keep everyone moving so we all got to see and hear everything. It was a great intro to DC!

It was amazing the amount of DC we got to see. Our guide was very friendly and had great knowledge about everything that we saw. The only downside was the amount of walking if you're an older person, which I am. LOL!
I highly recommend this tour, especially if you are in DC for only a couple of days.

Very disappointed in not getting into the Capitol visitor center. It was supposed to be part of the tour but the tour guide was over 30 mins late!! We only had one day and it was important to see as much as possible. The bus door kept getting stuck and wasting time. The boat tour without the cherry blossoms was completely unnecessary. Could barely understand the tour bec of the engine noise. Seeing the Pentagon would have been better. The drop off place was changed and I reserved a car to pick us up at 4:30. I asked before booking the car to make sure I gave us enough time. Rather than drop us straight off, the bus went back to the original drop off place and we barely made our ride back. Didn’t need that stress at the end of a long day!!

If all guides are as good as Brittany was, I would highly recommend this tour. It was packed with all the interesting sites (and sights!) one would want to see; yet, we never felt rushed (except at lunch in Georgetown which was not Brittany’s fault. We had a boat to “catch” for Potomac River part of tour which is another partnered company and we had to stay on their schedule. All in all, I would give Brittany and Cortez (our very able driver) both A+!

My first visit to Washington DC was somewhat of a last minute solo getaway.
With only a couple days to explore and get a feel for the city, booked the 12 stop monument bus tour with USA guided tours simply based on previous reviews on third party Viator.
Fortunate enough to be guided by Nick and his team, I left Washington smitten with the city and have already began searching for dates and flights, (even jobs) to come back asap.
Knowledgeable, personable, encouraging of group interaction without forcing the friendships, Nick and team provided a smooth, relaxed, enjoyable 6 hours of well presented facts and memorable points of interest that the average tourist, like myself, would have great difficulty uncovering.
Nick’s love for history itself is evident in the depth and the invested tone he presents the information he’s providing. His ability to insert light heartedness and laughter keeps the mood of the tour upbeat even when he is delivering unpleasant occurrences of the past.
It is very important to know this prior to the tour…Nick thinks he’s funny. :)
And he actually is.
Even with the city being under heavy construction and had random unscheduled road blockages that day… driver, driver in training and Nick brainstormed and rerouted whenever necessary and kept us informed and managed to keep things moving seamlessly. Quick thinking folks who know their city well.
Even the few on the tour that were scheduled for only the four hour package extended their tour for the full 6 hour option early in, as it was that enjoyable and they didn’t want to miss out.
Highly recommend this tour. Couldn’t have spent my morning - late afternoon, one of two days I had in DC any better than I did thanks to Nick, his team and USA Guided Tours.

Our tour guide, Nick, was one of the best guides I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and learning from… the knowledge he had with many fun facts along the route kept the tour very engaging and fun! His personality and jokes were truly the best! He made it so enjoyable for us especially my autistic daughter who has a hard time with keeping focus. He kept her attention during the whole trip! I definitely recommend this tour and hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Nick as your guide!

Our guide, Rocky, was great. The instructions on where to meet and the tour itinerary were not accurate. We were told to meet by the Naval Museum, but the actual tour started at the Capitol causing us to have to walk an extra 20 minutes after having already walked 20 minutes to the meeting point given. We were also told that the Capitol tour would be outside only, so we had just bought $20 worth of snacks & water that had to be thrown away unopened. Very aggravating that we were not given proper instructions. I have attached the itinerary that was on my reservation. You might want to double check if you decide to take this tour.

The tour covers many famous Washington DC historic sites in 6 hours. The tour guide is very active, polite, and knowledgeable about the US history and the landmarks. The bus driver is also very good.
The weather was overcast and cold on the day of our tour so the Potomac River Cruise was not really enjoyable, but it is not their fault.

There is a lot of walking but worth it. Be sure to take a camera because there are so many things you'll want to take pictures of. I myself probably took over 200 pictures. Our tour guide was great his name is Nick. Not only is he informative but entertaining as well. I highly recommend this tour.
