Good parts tour in the crowded Vatican

Elena was knowledgeable, accommodating and helpful. It was very crowded the day we went and she helped us get to the good parts with minimal issues. Definitely worth paying extra for a small tour group because we could be more nimble and she could answer all our questions.

Wear good walking shoes, there is a lot to see!

Even with skip the line tickets you will still need to wait at certain points as it is very busy. Our guide was very well informed and answered questions from our group and took extra care to be sure if we had specific things we were interested that we were able to see.

Great tour! Saw all the highlights

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour, and Valentina made it particularly great. She was very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor and kept us engaged the entire tour. It was a big plus skipping the line too. This was well worth the money, definitely would recommend.

Excellent and informative tour

This tour was fantastic! Exactly what we wanted and was expecting. We had a small group which made it more personal and lots of opportunities to ask questions. Our tour guide Ariana was very knowledgeable on the history of the Colosseum, Roman forum and Palatine Hill. She even had little books to show us pictures of the area of what it would like like in its time! It was a pleasure to be in her group! Overall fantastic experience and would recommend taking this tour.

Smooth and Convenient Entry, Despite a Slight Delay

Overall, a seamless and hassle-free experience! Ticket collection was straightforward, although the representative didn’t arrive until about five minutes before our scheduled entry time. I’d recommend allowing for a slight delay and not expecting to enter exactly at your booked time. Once we arrived at the Pantheon, everything went smoothly. The line moved significantly faster than the queue for purchasing tickets on-site, making the advance booking well worth it. A convenient and efficient way to visit the Pantheon!

Grab an Early Arena Access Tour!

Grab an early spot and get to the security line early and you won’t be disappointed! We got our tickets sent to us the day before (I did reach out myself, but the response was immediate). We went with the arena option and we were glad we did. We had 8:30 slot and were the first down to the arena! The entire Colosseum was empty! It filled up quickly after that, but for that brief moment it was amazing! I know there is an option to buy directly through the Colosseum site, but I found this tour worth it to avoid the hassle and problems that site has. I would highly recommend.

Excellent tour and guide with some meeting confusion.

We loved this tour and learned a great deal from our guide Naomi! The meeting place is run by a different company which created a lot of confusion for us, and the guide didn't have a name tag or a way for us to identify her so that created more confusion at the meeting place. Once we connected with her, it was well worth it, but expect some confusion meeting the guide. Definitely pay for the gellato at the end!

Amazing. We did this as part of our honeymoon and we can't imagine it being any better. We did the 3:30 tour that ended at the Colosseum, so we were there for golden hour and it was just incredible. Niccolo was a great guide, funny, informative, helpful. Palatine Hill. the Roman Forum, and all the ruins we saw first were amazing as well. Definitely would recommend doing it that way.

Excellent tour of Roman Colosseum and surrounding area.

Serena from Blue Cat Tours provided us with an excellent private tour (just two of us) of the Roman Colosseum, the Forum, and Palatine Hill. We were extremely pleased with our experience. She is very knowledgeable about the history and archaeology of this area and clearly enjoys sharing her knowledge with visitors. Logistics were flawless. She met us in front of the metro stop at the scheduled time and had all our tickets already prepared. This allowed us to skip most of the lines for the three venues. Her English is excellent and she was able to answer our questions as we travelled through the sites. She paced the tour well and adjusted on the fly if we wanted to spend more time in one area and less in another. She also made sure we had opportunities for water breaks and time in the shade as we were in Rome during the July heat wave. She finished up right at the three-hour mark and gave us a great recommendation for a lunch restaurant before she left. I would absolutely recommend Serena and Blue Cat tours for visitors who appreciate the history of this area and want to learn more. I should note that the tour does require a fair amount of walking and has stairs and inclines. The Colosseum does have an elevator but even so, wear comfortable walking shoes and make sure you have appropriate sun protection.
