Getting to skip the line, even though we were a little late, made all the difference. Although the museum was very crowded the variety of art is amazing. Most people skipped the contemporary galleries but I would recommend them, too

Good tour

The tour guide and tour was great. He was able to get us through the crowds easily while still telling us very interesting facts. Getting the tickets around the block and down the street took longer than expected, so leave time for that and the security line before you meet the guide. Also I booked three tickets and somehow we were all in separate groups - 1 in English and 2 in Italian. Luckily the ticket booth rearranged us so we could all be in the same group. I’m not how that happened since I booked them at the same time. So I would say double check that. Once we got to the tour group everything was great.

If you purchase a Viator voucher for this experience ensure that you clarify what is included and confirmation of time as we arrived for our 3.30 tour. Could not get in until 4.30. Tickets showed the cost as €25 each yet we paid $233 to Viator.

It worked but it kind of felt strange. You get your tickets and taken to a place to jump in line. The line was hours long.

Easy no line tickets to the Vatican Museum.

Skip the line was perfect for our family. I’ve been to the Vatican museum before so wasn’t essential to have a guide during our visit. We just needed to be escorted directly to the front of the line outside of the Vatican museum. That saved a massive amount of time for our family.

It says tour guide but she got me in and she left. No guide. It was packed. Shoulder to shoulder. But everything was beautiful.

Waste of time and money

Firstly we were overcharge by €88. Viator charged us €138 when the actual price was €25 each! No audio and no tour guide. Secondly the whole experience was pathetic. We had a “fast track” ticket… fast track my a*** The jobsworths in the bright yellow jackets think they can treat people like cattle… They let far too many people in at the same time..it was a joke without the laughter! I would seriously NOT recommend visiting… they make you wait then when you enter, they stand there waving there arms shouting “come on move” In the Sistine chapel, you can’t take photos, you can’t linger to look at the ceiling.. the rush you to move Oh… they also say it’s disable friendly… my a*** it is… I had to WALK up steps to get the lift! Whole experience was pathetic!!!

We purchased tickets for the first time slot available that day, at 8:30am and we were there at the designated time (8:00am) to pick up the tickets and walk the 3 blocks to the Vatican. The vendor was not there and we waited, knowing that we had to enter the Vatican by 9am or our tickets would be null and void. The tour guide we hired happened to know the operator and called him, we did not get the tickets until he showed up at 8:45, giving us barely enough time to get to the gate! It was very unnerving watching the clock tick and standing around on the sidewalk for 45 minutes. If we hadn't hired a guide that happened to know him, he may never had showed up with our tickets. It is worth skipping the line, but you may want to book a tour that already includes the tickets!

Perfect for us with a small child, just needed to skip the line and then have our own space to wander. We couldn't have waited for hours in the sun so this was ideal, all staff were amazing and the meeting place was easy to find. Excellent value for money ! Thanks so much !
