Fantastic day trip to Mount Vesuvius and Pompeii! Both the climb with the volcanologist and the guided tour of Pompeii were brilliant experiences. A special mention must go to our guide, Anna, who was absolutely fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and kept us entertained throughout the day with fascinating facts and stories about Rome and Italy. She really added to the whole experience. An unforgettable tour with Silvia

This was the best tour we took in Rome. Silvia was an absolutely brilliant guide - 5*. She was so passionate about the sites and her background as an archaeologist was very impressive. We honestly could have spent many more hours with her. Her joy and positivity were infectious. I don’t think you can appreciate these sites in the same way unless you take a guided tour.

Great experience worth every penny

Maggie was a great tour guide with a vast of knowledge on all areas that we walked, even when some of the areas were unplanned due to how busy it was. The queue jump was well worth it given the speed of getting in compared to those queueing. We even got to take a shortcut to the Sistine chapel which looked to be closed but maggie is an employee of the Vatican City so security let us through. It was a great experience and well worth the money.

Pompeii was amazing Positano was beautiful!

Rob our tour guide made the trip!! Not only was he very knowledgeable about Pompeii and Positano, he also shared his knowledge on the history and culture of Italy and the different regions. His discussion on the foods of each region was especially interesting. The Pompeii tour guide was good, but we did experience some issues with the audio device at times. All in all it was a great tour.

Marius was wonderful!

Marius was our tour guide, he was awesome! Super kind, funny and reassured us multiple times nobody will get left behind! It was a tour from 7:30 am to 10pm. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side that day so our cruise was canceled and we were given a 25% discount but we still saw the almafi coast, positano, had a limoncello tasting at a factory along the way and saw Sorrento. Quick note if this happens to anyone as well, your tour guide does NOT control the weather! make sure to do your research and plan in advance. Marius did his absolute best to give us the best experience despite the unfortunate circumstances. Overall i’d do it again! it was so nice to have secure transportation and be able to explore other beautiful parts of italy.

Great time in tuscany

Meet up was easy and well planned. The tour bus was clean. The tour guide was very friendly and informative. Spent time in two Tuscan towns and had a wonderful lunch with wine tasting / pairing. Time flew by. It was a great day. Bring battery pack, water, and a snack for the bus.

The opportunity and experience of a lifetime !

Be prepared for an experience of a lifetime from a guide with more information than most university professors. There are a few physical requirements for walking the entire tour, heat during the summer, uneven footing throughout and stairs plus loud crowd noise. These are minor inconveniences for the experience but should be considered. DO NOT MISS THE OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME, JUST DO IT ! If you are lucky enough to have Georgia as a guide it is a double bonus!

If you like Roman...

If you like Roman history, you can't get much more Roman than this. The audioguide provided quite a lot of good context for the stuff you see across the three sites that you wouldn't normally get from the placards on site, just be sure to bring your headphones/earbuds of course. Be prepared to do a lot of hiking across the Palatine Hill and bring a water bottle, but overall good value for money I'd say

Villa d’Este is awe-inspiring

Fantastic insight into Roman society 2000 years ago at Hadrian’s Villa (palace) and 1800’s at Villa d'Este, which has been on my bucket list since I learned about Italian landscape design at university. Totally worth the visit despite the punishing heat in August. The hydrological engineering & use of what starts as a tiny water source into multiple fountains & sculptures without use of pumps or electricity is awe-inspiring & spectacular. Definitely a highlight of my trip.
