Bishop Museum
If you really want to learn about the Hawaiian culture and its roots, then you must be willing to read every sign you come across. What an incredible time I had yesterday in the room where I met all the generational kings, queens, brothers, sisters, children and family friends. My understanding of the Hawaii culture has grown 10 fold. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the young man Jonah who helped my Aunt and myself get to the bus station. He also showed me how to use my GPS on my phone. What a jewel you have working for the Bishop Museum. I will recommend this experience to my family and friends. Cynthia McGhee

History comes alive.
Beautiful facility with great information and artifacts telling the story of Hawaii and those who impacted the culture of the islands.

A good example of the history of Hawaii and it's people. Worth a visit to the planetarium and Tutu's place. You can take as long or as short as you like visiting the museum. Only issue is getting upand down the flights of stairs for each building and the exhibitions if you have sore knees or recent knee surgery.

Great museum with a rich and varied collection.
Due to a very busy schedule, we had planned just 2 hours for this visit to Bishop Museum. But if you're truly interested in the local history, keep at least half a day.
