Top Boston Walking Tours

It was fun, as advertised. He had salty language, which added to the fun! His stories enhanced the experience so much. The subs were absolutely the best we’ve ever had! The ravioli should win an award! Lots of walking, but also plenty of chances to sit down and get to know some of the other guests. I would highly recommend!

Our tour guide, Gabe, was great. He was personable, knowledgeable and kept the group engaged for more than 3 hours. The food was a great sampling of everything that makes Boston great. We learned a lot about the history of Boston and it's unique districts while enjoying great food and drinks. We wish we had added the beverage package to our reservation.

The 2 1/2 hours spent on the Freedom Trail were filled with history! From reviewing many facts I already knew, to sharing so much new information, Albert was an engaging and brilliant tour guide! His knowledge of early American history, coupled with many fascinating anecdotes of the greater Boston area, was both entertaining and informative. We had a couple of young students with us and he answered their questions very thoughtfully.

Boston’s Duckboat cruise is informative, inclusive and lots and lots of fun. Then land portion includes (be quick!) opportunities for photos of iconic buildings, the USS Constitution (“Old Ironsides”), ancient streets and monuments. The highlight, though, is when the vehicle enters the river. The views from the river surface are great, and you may even be given the opportunity to steer the boat! A live narrator points out the key sites, while explaining the origin of the American Revolution, which began in Boston. Our narrator was also very funny! We began and ended our 80-minute tour at the Aquarium location, which proved to be easy to get to from our cruise ship. We highly recommend it!

You must change the address given for the meeting place. The booking says 156 Blackstone. There is no such address. It should be 136 Blackstone. This address is clearly seen on the door to the building where we meet. Myself and everyone in our 13 member group could not find a 156 Blackstone and suffered much anxiety because we thought we would miss the tour while looking for this non-existent address. Our tour was delayed 15 minutes waiting for others to find the meeting spot. Our tour guide stated he is wearing an Intrepid shirt. However, we didn’t have any idea what Intrepid is because we booked with Viator of course. So a guy in a red shirt in the area didn’t mean anything to us. Again, you need to change the advertisement to read, “Meet at 136 Blackstone “.

This was such a fun tour! As advertised, these tours are led by students and each adds their own unique flavor. Ours shared school customs, common mythologies, as well as debunking some urban legends. He was so gracious about guiding people to other places they wanted to go, including recommendations of where to eat. We walked away with much more knowledge than when we began.

I had a six hour layover in Boston and decided to take this walking tour to get a quick overview of the landmarks and history. So glad I did! Very informative and easy way to get the lay of the land, learn about the historical sites and their significance. Getting to the tour was really easy using the free silver line bus from the airport to South Station. I didn’t realize it at the time, that I could have taken the red line train to downtown. Instead, I walked the 10-15 minutes—but didn’t mind since the weather was nice and I was able to see other parts of the city.

This was a great tour! Our guide, Catherine, was super informative and had a great personality. The tour felt very interactive, and it was evident that she genuinely enjoys her job. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Boston! It was the perfect length to get just enough information and history about the area without feeling overwhelming.
