The trolley tour guide was lovely, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.
The ride itself was a little uncomfortable, and unless you were sat on the right side, you didn’t get to really see some of those landmarks. However, great way to get a taste of Richmond and see where you wanted to go back and explore by other means. The benefits of the tour operating from the train station made parking extremely easy or coming by train as well as having tourist information at hand to help you plan future trips
The trolley tour was fantastic. The tour guide Melissa, had a plethora of information and facts usually not related which impressed me, especially as I am a US History teacher!! Our driver, Linda, drove safely while allowing us great view even though it rained sporadically during most of the tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for Melissa and Linda!!
There does need to be a better explanation about parking your vehicle safely so you don’t park where you maybe in danger of your vehicle being towed. The GPS took us directly to the parking lot where the tour begins but it appears that’s not the actual parking lot for tour members.
That’s my one and only suggestion to better things which is NOT a complaint about the tour guide and the driver who did a fantastic tour, especially considering it was raining as well!!
This is a not to be missed tour, whether you are a first time or repeat visitor to Richmond. It was informative, entertaining, thorough and covered downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods as well as the deep history of this City. A great orientation! Maggie, our tour guide, was exceptional. Her in-depth knowledge was only surpassed by her enthusiastic personality, great story telling and passion for history. Can't give her and this tour enough stars.
The historian,Andrew, was very good! Presentation was very interactive and spirited that kept our group totally engaged.
AC stopped working and it was a hot humid day.
Tour should have included Arthur Ashe Blvd. No mention of Arthur Ashe, Doug Wilder, or other notable African American other than slavery in the civi war.
Excellent way to learn about Richmond. Guide was easy to understand and very knowledgeable about history
The tour was very informative and fun. The air conditioning was not operable, so we were sweeting. Besides that, the tour was great!

Great trip through downtown Richmond. Our guide Andrew definitely knew his history and didn't just memorize a script. If you are looking for something to do in Richmond definitely add this to your list!!

The trolly was supposed to have A/C and before we left we were told it wasn’t working properly. We were given a chance to get off and get refunded but chose not to. This was our one chance to tour. The trolly had only a fan and the temp was over 90 so the heat inside was miserable. Cold bottled water was available, so that helped. Loved the tour but very disappointed with the trolly.
Linda was excellent driver in the city driving very skillful and professional. Melissa was an excellent guide. Interesting and friendly. You see a large portion of Richmond & it’s different areas. Enjoyed it Love that it is done in a trolley.
Where departing from. Meeting place directions given on voucher is not correct.
Cushions on seats would greatly be appreciated due to cobblestones and potholes.

Suggest bringing a seat pad for comfort as the trolley has hard wooden seats!
This was a very nice tour of Richmond, Rachel, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable and informative, Jonathan, our driver, drove safely and stopped where we needed to. We learned the history of Richmond and saw the beautiful sights, thank you Rachel & Jonathan👍👍👍

Tour guide was late for personal reasons. Had fill in driver/guide he was really good. Picked regular guide on route she finished our tour and was great. Would recommend doing this if in Richmond
It is a comprehensive view of Richmond that will help you leave the tour wanting to take a deeper dive into sites around the city.
A wonderful 2+ hours in an old-fashioned but air-conditioned trolley car all over downtown Richmond, VA. Our guide (Kacy?) was cute, friendly, and spirited in her descriptions of different neighborhoods. She was knowledgeable about important places and individuals and included a variety of historical references. She also had plenty of suggestions for further cultural and dining exploration. We left the tour with a true sense of the city and people of Richmond and spent the rest of the afternoon at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. We look forward to another visit soon!
Great way to spend a couple of hours learning about Richmond history. The guide really knew all of the details and made it fun.

The Tour Guide was wonderful. It was so hot but she made the tour wonderful. Anyone a history fan would love this tour!
Packed full of interesting facts! Perfect length of time to absorb the sites and info. The trolley team (driver and vocalist) was a good pair who navigated the busy streets and offered the ability to stretch your legs at a bird's-eye-view spot overlooking Richmond while getting to know the passengers.

The trolley tour is perfect for anyone not familiar with Richmond's prolific history. I brought my 20-year old daughter and her boyfriend. we were among the youngest on the tour. Our guide Melissa was knowledgable, friendly, and seems to genuinely enjoy her job. We came away with a ton of background information about Richmond's history and would absolutely do this again.
Be ready to learn a lot but it was almost too much. The guide was very imformative but spoke super fast. I am not sure people from other nationalities could understand. Alot was focused on restaurants and eating places which was fine but more than one could take in. Personally we would have liked to learn more about some of the historical spiritual background of the area.
The trolley ride was a great introduction to the rich cultural history of Richmond. People from all over the country were taking part. Our tour guide had so many fascinating details to share.
I especially appreciate the help of other guests assisting my super seniors in & out of the trolley.
The RVA center opened up early so guests could use the restroom which was a blessing. They also had great souvenirs and there was a downtown cafe across the way for a local treat afterwards.

The driver, Mark was excellent. He maneuvered that trolley car around those streets wonderfully. The guide was amazing. How great that she was a college history teacher who knew so much about the history of Richmond. We live in Richmond, and learned so much from her.
