We were standing at the pickup point at Graceland. She unloaded her passengers and then started to drive off. I had to holler out to stop her. We saw her almost bypass others as well. She blamed some passengers for not telling her to pick them back up.
Our group went to different attractions for the day. Several tried to get the bus after them but it never showed up — apparently the single driver went home early.
There is only ONE “Hop on Hop off” van so you can’t catch the van again for another 90 minutes, after it makes a complete loop! Also, the driver does NOT stop at all the designated stops unless you tell her you want to get off - so make up your mind well before the stop and let her know!! My friend was left stranded at the last 5pm pick up because she walked over to another pick up spot without letting the driver know she was doing that. They only sell the number of seats on the bus for the entire day. I wouldn’t do this again; take the $1 trolley up and down Main Street and walk over to the various sites.
Good to see everything but the driver was always late collecting us so we had to wait outside in hot weather
We liked our driver but here was only one bus & 90 minutes between stops. Our second stop let us off at Graceland & we were on time to be picked up at 2:25pm & we saw the van leaving the parking lot! We kept trying to call the local office & it was just a message & the company number just wanted to sell us another trip! We're both senior citizens & had to wait in 100 degree weather & they never returned for us- We had to call a drive share service for the rest of the stops! We would like a full refund.
Great!! We always take the Hop On Hop Off busses wherever we travel. The are always informative and give us a chance to explore the city
This is not at all like the hop on hop off trolleys in other cities (DC, Nashville, Savannah). The bus only comes to each stop every 60-90 minutes which makes hopping off and getting back on far more of a challenge. You can’t find a schedule anywhere. It is super unclear where you are to be to start the tour or what time you are supposed to be there. The only upside is the bus is air conditioned- unlike the trolleys in other cities.

Sorry we are not the other cities you visit. Unfortunately, we can't run shuttle every 30 minutes due to the distance of Graceland, and we have to include this iconic attraction to our schedule.
I would give this negative stars if possible . If you value your life, money, and time don’t book this tour!
The bus we were on stalled out twice, with engine lights on, while driving on the freeway. The driver accepted a phone call while driving on the freeway and was shuffling through papers on a clipboard supported on the steering wheel veering off into an oncoming Semi, VERY SCARY!
Not as advertised! “Redeem at any one of the locations” for pick up at 10:00 am. What they neglect to tell you is there are specific pick up times for each location listed. We waited an hour and a half at our location, when we called to inquire they said we should have called for their pickup schedule. No where in the information description does it give direction to call for pickup times and schedules. This is very misleading ! Seems to me that the schedules should be included to review before purchase .
With that being said, we would have had to cut short the times of all of the sites we wanted to visit waisting even more dollars because most required an entrance fee.
After our first drop we were never able to connect again with the hop on hop off ride. We ended up calling Uber for transportation to our sites.
My recommendation…….DON’T BOOK THIS TOUR

Sorry, for your experience. The driver never reported a problem with the bus, I didn't hear that from any other guest on that day. If a bus stalls out, the driver would have reported it immediately. As for answering her phone, that shouldn't happen and I will send a reminder to all drivers about being sure to use a handsfree device while driving. The schedule is located on our website at www.memphishop.com under "The Route". The schedule has all the stops and times listed for your convenience to hop on. You have 4 people in your party, the other 2 in your party rode the hop bus until it ended at 5:30p. I am not sure how you all were missed. When the bus was on schedule and other riders were hopping on throughout the loop. Again, sorry for your experience.
I don’t know how to solve this problem, but it’s not worth the money since if you want to get off, you have to wait 90 minutes for the bus to come back. Evelyn, our tour Guide today was very good. This is not worth the money of $60 and that was with a 15% discount but when we got to a stop for other people got on they were only charged $50. I’d really like to know why

When you purchase tickets from third party the price is different, then if you book directly from our website or from our driver.
Decent tour, Evelyn was very helpful and knowledgeable, once we got our bearings we ended up walking around, (except Graceland) which actually is very easy. Worth it to get an understanding of Memphis before choosing to walk to your favourite spot.
The tour bus was enclosed with limited visibility. Other than that, our guide was so cute and nice..
There’s no signage as to where you’re supposed to catch the bus. I tried calling the number and left a message and nobody ever called me back. I also sent an email and nobody responded to that either. There’s no map as to where you’re going or where to catch the next bus you get a tiny little slip of paper that says what time they’ll be where. But there’s no addresses on this so you don’t have any idea where you’re going or where the bus is gonna be. Definitely not worth $60.
Guide was good until she tried to get us to finish early when we said no she stopped talking . I think she was trying to get done early
Tour guide (Evelyn) was super nice! Monica went out of her way to make sure we made it to the right pick up location.
The tour itself was underwhelming and overpriced.
No mention of where the 10am pick up was, bus was late, bus made a lot of creaks, and stops we're not in order
Excellent, informative tour around Memphis.
Very accommodating as we had to be picked up at a different location because we were delayed.
Did not get on and asking for refund. Only one bus with an hour and a half wait between stops? No schedule on Viator as to when/where pick up happens. No signs on street. Not worth the cost and expect refund.
Worth the money. Wonderful way to learn about and see the city. Our guide was such a treat. Would do again.
We rode around the loop first before getting off. Evelyn gave a great tour and was knowledgeable when asked questions. Peabody Hotel was our favorite. We toured Graceland the previous day.
Was a great tour, but, ours was cut short for some reason ,we were not told that until we were getting off at the last stop.Graceland. We were unable to complete our tour of Graceland and still got left behind , had to call to get a ride back to hotel
Very informative and a great way to get an overview of the best sites in Memphis.
Evelyn, our driver, was superb. Knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating.
Very accommodating service, great stories. Accommodations were fine, despite rough ride over rough Memphis streets. Nice to not have to worry about driving and parking.
We were very disappointed; it was not the experience that was promised. First, they advertised the trip would be in an “air conditioned” bus. It was not; on a hot and humid day, the ride was not pleasant. Secondly, the driver was late, making the route rushed. Finally, the driver’s narrative was interrupted frequently by calls from the office. Needless to say, we will not recommend this to anyone. This is not the HOHO we have used around the world.
It’s great that our driver Evelyn knew the history! The safety window could use some repair as it rattled quite loudly but over all the tour was great and reasonably priced. I would recommend this tour for sure
Great way to see the sites of Memphis. our driver was Evelyn and she was very knowledgeable about Memphis. Very very accommodating. Appreciate it greatly.
We enjoyed the tour and especially the tour director. He had really interesting stories. It’s unfortunate that the City is so run down (which isn’t on you but your city leaders). But we enjoyed all of the stops on the tour. And we are glad we got the chance to visit.
Bus only comes to stop every hour and a half, only one Bus with no suspension, very rough ride!xxxxx
Wonderful tour and tour guide. Our tour guide, Evelyn, was wonderful, friendly, knowledgeable and very personable. She answered all of our questions and made our trip memorable.
The drivers were very polite and helpful with all the stops we made they were very knowledgeable about the tours and directions for where to go
We appreciated the flexibility of our driver, but this was basically an expensive shuttle service. Normally, hop on, hop off services provide commentary on the city, its landmarks etc. there was none of that. We paid $80 for transportation to 2 sites.
Taking the Memphis city bus tour is a wonderful way to see the major attractions of the city. Hopping on and off a bus that is reliable and comfortable with a guide who’s telling you things about the city that you would never know by just driving yourself gives you information and comfort you would not have facing traffic and driving yourself. My tour was extraordinary. I started the tour early in the day with a guide named Evelyn and was the only one on the bus for a part of the trip. Evelyn and I were able to talk and I had lots of questions that she answered with factual information about the city and the culture she has lived in has lived in for 75 years. I felt fortunate that she was willing and able to talk about the history as well as the structures on the street. I learned so much and enjoyed my trip. I got off at the Civil Rights Museum where I spent a couple of hours in that outstanding place.
