Thank you for the awesome review, glad you enjoyed your voyage with us!

Fun but wish was longer

Michelle_J, Jun 2026
It was good but wish it was longer on the reef to see more. A lot of travel but not a lot of time seeing in the glass bottom boat part.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for taking the time to review your experience with us, we have found in our 30+ years of doing this thirty minutes is all most people can stand looking through the bottom on a calm day it seems too short but on a rough it is too long.

Relaxing and fun boat ride with kind and knowledgeable crew. A great opportunity to see wildlife on the reef

Response from Host, Jun 2026

A ocean worth exploring!

Marcus_J, Jun 2026
We enjoyed the information provided while viewing the coral reefs and seeing ship wreckage. The changing of the water as we approached the reef was pretty cool also.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Thank you for the "Pretty Cool" review we are glad you enjoyed your voyage with us!

Good but...

Eric_N, Jun 2026
The crew was awesome. They were knowledgeable and friendly and made a great mango smoothie. My only gripe is the shortness of the trip. Minus the time enroute and the return time, we didn't have much time at the reef.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Eric, thank you for taking the time to review your trip with us. As far as the duration of the time spent over the reef on an average day 30 minutes is about how long our average passenger can enjoy looking through the bottom of the boat on a calm day it seems like a short duration on a rough day it is way too long a duration but on a average day it is just right. Its taken us a long time to try and balance passenger comfort with our trip duration and while no solution was a 100% we think we found a happy medium.

Choppy

Christel_K, Jun 2026
Way way way too wavy. I’m guessing they can’t predict it but the area seems like a very choppy reeef

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Sorry Mother Nature and King Neptune were not getting along the time of your voyage, we do try to provide the most accurate Sea condition at time of departure, but sometimes we are surprised by the conditions.

Fun in the Sun

Susan_C, Jun 2026
Great time, we had Dolphins playing in the waves from the boat alsosaw green turtles. The water wasa bit choppy and that was a lot of fun for me, but for anyone prone to motion sickness take your dramamine before you leave. Great staff and very helpful.

Response from Host, Jun 2026

Susan glad to hear you had fun, and thank you for the tip to future travelers!

Not worth it

Sima_P, Jun 2026

Great adventure in the Glass Bottom Boat

Kevin_L, May 2026
Amazing adventure out to the Coral Reef , so much information and history . Beautiful colours and lots of fish , even saw a turtle! Take sea sick tablets before you go though .. just in case , it did get choppy out there !!

Response from Host, May 2026

Kevin, thank you for your amazing review, plus the tip to future guest.

Loved the variety blue colors of the ocean

Geri_M, May 2026
Nice weather Fascinated with seeing coral reef. Wished the glass bottom boat moved slowly to view fish and sea life. I would have preferred a history of coral reef rather than a lecture on how it is being destroyed by environmental impact and laws to protect. That is why I gave 4 stars. The boat was exceptionally clean modern air conditioned..

Response from Host, May 2026

Geri, thank you for nice review, I am sorry that we have switched up the narration to be more educational about environmental conditions but we do keep some of the history elements of the reef in the narration, glad you found the boat clean and enjoyed the air conditioning.

Great experience!

Vincent_Z, May 2026

Key Largo Coral Reef Glass Bottom Boat Adventure

Kenneth_W, May 2026
This was a tour of a local reef via a glass-bottom boat. We saw several different species of fish, as well as a shark and sting ray. On the trip out to the reef from the marina, we also saw manatees, a school of dolphins, and a sea turtle (on the return trip). The sea was rough on our particular day, which did make it hard to see clearly through the glass bottom. If you are prone to motion sickness, heed the crew's recommendation to take your motion sickness medication prior to leaving the marina. Also, the crew were very friendly and knowledgeable about the trip. I thought the reef would be closer to shore than it was (I'd say it was 5 or 6 miles offshore), so the two hour tour required an hour and a half just to get to and from the reef. That left us with only 30 minutes looking through the glass bottom while over the reef. But considering how rough it was at the reef the day we went, that ended up being more than enough time. All in all, two thumbs up.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for rating our trip, sorry the conditions the day of your trip were not Chamber of Commerce but we deal with nature in action, thanks for the thumbs!

Bumpy but enjoyable

Debra_F, May 2026
We went on a day when it was pretty windy. There is lots of room to sit inside, not so many places to sit upstairs. Crew was great! Very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed it.

Response from Host, May 2026

Debra thank you for the nice rating sorry that Mother Nature and King Neptune were not getting along, but when you deal with Nature in action you never know what your going to get

Leann_L, May 2026
The boat was a great experience however the address on your website and Google take you over the bridge and keeps telling you to make a u turn several times and that was past the location.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for taking the time to write a great review, I just "Googled" us and the address that comes up is the correct and the map shows you to pull into the Holiday Inn parking lot which is where we are located.

Glass bottom bust

Peter_M, May 2026
What a disappointment. The reefs have not sealife...this is a lot of money to Nothing. Very disappointing waste of precious time of my.guests...saw more fish waiting on the dock than at the reef

Response from Host, May 2026

Peter, sorry Nature did not meet your expectations but then we humans have not met Natures expectations of taking care of our planet! You obviously missed our message.

Response from Host, May 2026

Smooth sailing

Christine_L, Apr 2026
The boat goes out 45 min to the reef. It's hit or miss if you will see any large fish or turtles. The boat is very stable, neat and clean. We had a beautiful day, water smooth as glass. We saw numerous sergeant majors and a few parrot fish.

Response from Host, May 2026

Thank you for taking the time review your experience with us, glad the seas were calm, sorry the King Neptune did not let to many of his creatures out for your voyage.

Disappointing experience

Audrey_H, Apr 2026
We were really looking forward to this experience, going on my birthday. Unfortunately, the reef was very disappointing and the death of the coral was saddening. The fish were small and sparse. For the time and money, it was really not worth it!

Response from Host, May 2026

Audrey, sorry if we did not meet your expectations, the, and that not many of King Neptunes creatures were out and about during your trip, hopefully you had a Happy Birthday!
