Brought the acropolis alive

Having a knowledgeable guide is extra important in a place like the Acropolis, which comes alive with a great guide. We had a wonderful guide, Johanna or Yohanna, who was both an archaeologist and a historian. What a treat. She also respected the various capabilities in our group to walk uphill. Highly recommend.

Excellent Tour!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was excellent. He showed us various works of Michelangelo from different points in the large room which gave us detail that we would have missed. Really great tour and amazing masterpiece. We skipped the line which really helped as it was crowded.

Tour to Tuscany

Manolo was an absolutely amazing tour guide and shared insights on all of the key sites and their history. Sergio was a great bus driver that took us to all of the sites. The drive through Tuscany was very scenic end enjoyed by all of us. The vineyard and lunch/wine tasting was delicious and consisted of a lot of food. Overall, we had a wonderful day.

Fabulous wine & port tasting event

Wow, this was the best tour I have ever been on. Our guide Slimmy was just fantastic. His knowledge and immersive narration in perfect English could not be faltered. The whole day was highly entertaining and Slimmy even managed to get the whole coach singing on the way back! Oh, and the wine/port tasting was fabulous as was the simple but tasty lunch we had. Seriously, you really do need to go on this tour and see if you can get Slimmy to be the tour guide, you will not be disappointed. Nunu the driver is also worthy of mention: his calm and safe driving helped to make it such a perfect day.

Family Visit

Our guide Cecilia was top notch !!! She was engaging, personable, super knowledgeable and clearly willing to share that knowledge enthusiastically. Cecilia also kept a watchful eye on her group, stopping frequently to ensure that all parties were together through the various checkpoints and throngs of other visitors. Our 3hr tour easily could have been 4 hrs (wish it was) as there was SO much to take in. Participating in the tour allowed access to the museum WAY EASIER than buying tickets and gaining entry on our own. And the passageway between the museum and St Peter’s Basilica was a bonus as it meant the group didn’t have to go back outside and line up a second time for access to St Peter’s. Thank you again Cecilia for a wonderful experience.

History comes to life

This tour gave an excellent overview of this ancient part of Rome. Our guide, David B, was the funniest, most informative guide we’ve ever had on any tour. He was able to impart the lengthy history using storytelling that made the facts stick, rather than just rattling off numbers and dates. He brought history to life. He related to each and every member of the group, attempting to get to know us and making each of us feel a part of the experience. I don’t know what other guides are like, but David made this tour amazing. If you’re reading this, David, Australia here!

We were in town for approximately 36 hours before heading on to other travels in Italy. Vallario was excellent at getting us around the town to see top spots, grab pics, and share some details about the history and city. Would highly recommend for those jet lagged, in a short visit, or have kids and know walking the city in a day isn’t going to cut it.

Revealing Beauty and Genius

Sagrada Família is Gaudi’s unfinished masterpiece , a single project over a century and a half in construction. The Basilica is massive yet seemingly as fragile as lace. Alex guided us through Barcelona’s gift to the world, revealing the genius of its construction, the meaning of the sculptural tableaus, and the interplay of light and stone. The tour was educational and exceedingly well presented. It was inclusive and by using microphones and ear pieces the audio was clear and understandable. A visit to Sagrada Família is an exquisitely beautiful bucket list visit that should not be missed. Viator’s tour is highly recommended.

Incredible Tour!

Our guide was incredible; he was hilarious & attentive to needs of each person. His depth of knowledge & passion for the history/culture was infectious. I could have listened to him talk about the architecture & true history all day! I thought I knew a fair amount about the history before but he gave me a whole new perspective. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour again & will book it again next time I’m here.
