It was great to have such a knowledgeable guide to take us through these amazing sites. Cristina’s command of the English language and the history of the sites was excellent.
The only suggestion for improvement is to be more clear about the meeting place for the start of the tour. The gathering area there is quite large and confusing.
You can spend many hours here! Don't miss all of the gardens and all of the buildings and palaces. It's absolutely beautiful and if you get a good guide they can even read some of the Arabic inscriptions for you!
Was a very lovely experience. Our guide, Antonio, was patient, thoughtful and made sure we all had a great time while also ensuring that we understood the history.
Wear hiking shoes and leave your backpack in one of the lockers. You go up and down a lot of stairs but worth it

I booked this Granada Alhambra tour specifically because access to the Nasrid Palaces was included, as it is one of the main highlights of visiting the Alhambra.
Unfortunately, when I arrived, I discovered that my entry to the Nasrid Palaces had been misbooked, and I was unable to visit them as planned. The others in the group we’re allocate their tickets.
This was extremely disappointing, especially considering that tickets are tightly controlled and the Nasrid Palaces are a major reason many travelers book this tour. While the guide did their best with the circumstances, the booking error significantly impacted my experience and left me feeling that I did not receive what was advertised.
For a premier attraction such as the Alhambra, accurate ticket management is essential. I would encourage Viator and the tour operator to improve their booking verification process to ensure future visitors do not miss out on such an important part of the site.
Unfortunately, because of this error, I cannot recommend this tour and perhaps, not use Viator in the future.
Visiting the Alhambra is like stepping directly into a living fairytale. Perched high above Granada with the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains as a backdrop, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is undoubtedly one of the most awe-inspiring places in Europe.
🏛️ The Highlights
The Nasrid Palaces: The sheer level of craftsmanship here leaves you speechless. The intricate stucco work, carved wooden ceilings, delicate arches, and iconic Courtyard of the Lions showcase Islamic architecture at its absolute finest. Every corner tells a story.
Generalife Gardens: A paradise of flowing water, vibrant flowerbeds, cypress avenues, and peaceful fountains. Walking along the Water Staircase surrounded by lush greenery is an unforgettable sensory experienc.
Antonio was a wonderful guide. The tour was the perfect length and the small group allowed us to be nimble in a crowded place.
Jean Claude (JC) was so knowledgeable having studied history. He made the information fun and relatable with movie references throughout which made us laugh. Incredible experience!
Our tour increased from £40 each to £174 each price! Booked in March, cancelled, unbeknown to us, until we were due to collect tickets the week before we left for our holiday.
However, our guide was excellent and we did enjoy the tour.
I wouldn't book through Viator again.

We would like to clarify that your original booking in March was not with Passepartours, and we had no involvement in its cancellation. You booked with us only at the end of September, and we were happy to accommodate you at short notice and provide a smooth, enjoyable experience.
Unfortunately, last-minute Alhambra bookings are generally more expensive due to limited availability.
We understand your frustration with your previous booking, but we're disappointed to receive a 1-star rating for circumstances entirely outside our control, especially when you enjoyed the service we provided.
Take a taxi or uber - too difficult to walk there. You have to show your passport or ID 4 times during the tour so don’t forget it. Jana was wonderful as a guide!
Jamie was very knowledgeable and made the history of Alhambra a great experience. Highly recommend not skipping the palaces, they were the highlight of the visit
Informative and enjoyable! Beautiful place to experience. A feast for the eyes, and great educational commentary from our guide that expanded my own understanding of what I was actually experiencing. Borja, our guide, was clever, witty, a great photographer and full of insights that helped us all grasp the vast richness and history of the Alhambra.
Last min cancellations. Very poor management. Evry day I contacted them to receive the tickets. They assured me everything is in order they lift me until 12am the night before the visit and they cancelled. Dont use them becouse if you cancel you will loose your money and if you buy from them you will live under stress as they might cancel. Dont come any close to them.
Never ever book to go unless through the official site of alhambra.. The paasepartours had no tickets for entry
Got here 8:30 for the tour at 9 but then got message that there was a technical error and I had no ticket and was left stranded. Very dissaointed. Why did they leave it till the last minute to book the ticket even though I had purchased the ticket in advance. Why wasn't the tickets secured when the money was taken from my account. Very dissapointing. Not sure I can trust Viator to book again... Especially this location. Usually I have had a great experience. While the tours are expensive I believed the tour were always secured.
I felt that our guide did not recognize that his audience was zoning out as he was providing so much information, but not enough memorable tidbits.
Dara was a fantastic guide. Extremely knowledgeable, very approachable and easy to converse with, and funny. Highly recommended.

Time of the year is important. In my opinion, May was perfect, summer is hot there and you will walk a lot. I recommend a guided tour. Our guide Alba was excelent.

This was a fabulous experience made amazing by our excellent guide Borja. His depth of knowledge about the Alhambra was outstanding. We learned about the fascinating water system, the significance of religious beliefs that influenced the architecture and symbolism in the buildings. His knowledge of the history of the people who had inhabited it was vast. We learned a great deal about the garden design and also the plants within. The whole guided tour was delivered with humour and was a fun experience. We came away feeling that we had learned a huge amount and had really enjoyed ourselves in the process.
Tour guide Jana was terrific. Very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. She helped us find the meeting point and emailed us in advance of the tour to reassure us.

Entire process was easy and well organized.
Terrible experience: We paid almost $700 for 4 tickets to see the Alhambra Nasrid balance as well as the ground around it. We received a message the night before then I will take its have been altered. We were only allowed to see the open grounds in the Gardens and could not enter the Palace itself. We drove 2 hours in each direction to see the balance ground and we were very disappointed
We visited the beautiful and impressive Alhambra on March 13, 2026. The place itself is magical and really worth a visit. But our guide Carlos, took the visit to another level. Incredibly knowledgeable and well-read with a great ability to convey and make the place even more interesting. Also a master when it comes to taking really good pictures with our Iphone.
Jana WOWed us! She is a great guide who informed and entertained us for 3 hours. We never felt rushed and the tour was an absolute delight from beginning to end. What a wonderful experience. She was so good we should call the tour Al ”JANA”bra
