Wonderful Acropolis Experience with Yannis!

Absolutely amazing experience. George, our guide was the best. His knowledge of Athens, blending the ancient history with the new is exceptional. He was timely and communicated well. Our tour was private with four members. Alexandra (A) was our guide. Went with a private tour to hopefully accommodate personal preferences and it paid off. A was very accommodating and flexible in food and events! There was concern that a 10am food tour may have conflicts with a morning stomach butt no worries! Started pastry to coffee etc. not to give away too many surprises! The remaining menu was diverse and plentiful. Come hungry! A was excellent! Very knowledgeable in food, culture and Athens! Highly recommend her services as well as tour operators!

Highly recommend if you're able

Great tour! Very thorough and informative. Lots of walking and standing, but I loved it. Ioannes was very good at keeping us engaged and entertained the whole 4 hours, which is not easy! Not a tour for those with mobility challenges or low stamina. It's long, hot, and you're on your feet most of the time.

Best Acropolis Tour Around

The hike up to the Acropolis was made possible for this 70 year old woman with bone-on-bone knees by 5 months of physical therapy. I am so glad I did it. This is a fantastic tour. We had a wonderful guide with encyclopedia knowledge. She was so patient with every hiker. Made sure we were all doing ok and could hear her. She even took photos of each of us at the best Acropolis viewpoint. Museum is amazing too. Recommend doing it.

So beautiful!

The actual tour was incredible. The views were amazing & the stories behind the monasteries were enlightening. Our guide was very kind & very well versed on the history. Where we stopped for lunch was very scenic & lovely. My only negative comment is that when all attendees arrived there were four buses going to the same place, but very little organization. Figuring out which bus we belong on was quite chaotic. Other than that, I would absolutely recommend this tour!

An amazing experience, we...

An amazing experience, we saw so many beautiful things you really can't see every day or just anywhere. The day I went the air temperature was 28°, so we were lucky and could swim for a bit. And had a chance to wittess a gorgeous sunsett. Such a cool highlight of the journey. Also, I liked how they asked everyone where the're from and what they'd seen so far, I met very nice people in the bus. So even though I went solo, i didn't feel like I'm missing out. And on the top of all of that our tour guide Lili was very knowledgeable and not only that, she's got a really cool and fun way of presenting information. I feel like I was grinning to myself most of the journey. Also our driver Nikos was great, he even shared his experience as National Guard with us, its nice to know about that tradition from the inside in such detail. So highly recommend to book, it will take half a day, but I don't see a better way to spend that time

Unmissable tour!

It was a great tour.. absolutely unmissable. We were a mixed group of 2 teens and 4 48+ not very fit adults. Had read about the climb being quite hard so was a bit apprehensive. But our walk was evenly paced with lots of pauses so didn't have any issue in climbing upto Parthenon. Also, Victor is a very engaging guide.. made the tour interesting and informative for all of us.

Bring your best walking shoes!

Bring your best walking shoes. Ancient stairmaster! Great time! Lot of climbing and walking. Be careful walking near the parthanon, saw so many people fall and hurt themselves. Other than that it was amazing. So much to take in. Our guide Marie was so knowledgeable and kind. Wish we had two days to spend time in museum. It was just overload at a certain point.

Worth it

My wife and I booked this trip after comparing other similar trips and chose this one based on the previous reviews. Previous travelers did not disappoint. The boat was excellent and in great condition. The food was some of the best in Athens so far. The crew was enjoyable and had very clear communication. The islands were very nice and the swimming spots were also excellent. Totally worth taking a day trip. Would do this again.
