Family trip to Delphi

Delphi well worth the trip and the bus transportation and tour leader were excellent. Would not drive this on our own. Lots of walking. Bring poles if you need them. Taverna meal looked good. We brought a picnic but may have bought meal if we had known we could order ala carte at the taverna. Trip back good. Sunday traffic minimal.

Delightful Experience

Good overview of Central Athens historic spots, including changing of the guard, subway art, churches, market areas, Acropolis walk by, and lots of side notes. Dinner at a traditional Greek restaurant is good. Our guide was personable, knowledgeable and open to lots of questions. A good start to learning the basics. Note: lots of walking and stairs.

We always try to do a food tour when we arrive in a new city. This food tour did not require a lot of walking and we made 5 stops for different types of Greek food including pies, meze, skewers, salad, and baklava. Also included wine and beer and other drinks. Constantina was a great guide! Enjoy!

Nikos Charalambopoulos was our guide on the day and was excellent! Very informative, not only regarding local sites and food but also in relation to the history of the area and Athens overall! Not been to Athens for many years but are actively planning a return trip for 2026 or early 2027! Great time!

Great variety of foods! Arela was so friendly and informative and kind! The walking was easy and I has a bad ankle! There was so much food, I didn't think I would be able to sample all of it! Definitely filling and you won't leave hungry! The small group size made it easy to move through the crowd and hear our guide easily. Impressive guide and a great tour

Maritsa was an impressive tour guide. The tour consisted of myths and then the real history and she engaged with the group. She was great at pointing out slippery and uneven walking areas with consistent reminders. She was also soft spoken which was great because we focused on her and not the other crowds. She let us know in advance what we were doing next. We were all scared about climbing up to the Acropolis but we took frequent stops and it included ramps and walking paths, not just straight steps. All in all we had a great morning.

We have Angelos and Demos...

We have Angelos and Demos for the two different parts of our tour. Both were amazing! Angelos did the bike part and handled our four teenage boys with grace! We had an incredible experience on our Athens walking tour with an archaeologist—our guide, Peter, was truly outstanding. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Peter explained the historical context, myths, and significance of each site with clarity and enthusiasm, making it engaging for both adults and kids in our group. We especially appreciated how he connected ancient history to what we were seeing in front of us, helping us better understand the importance of each landmark. We had an incredible experience with Margarites at the Acropolis and museum. She is a wonderful teacher and storyteller and our family learned and retained so much information from our time with her about Greek mythology, customs, and language. She was talented in selecting interesting facts and content, coloring in the stories with details, and keeping us interested and engaged. I'll also add that her voice was so pleasant and soothing to listen to. We are so grateful for such a spectacular experience with her -- our time with her was one of the memorable highlights of our week in Athens!
