They promised whales, and...
They promised whales, and they delivered! We saw about six, including a mama with her calf. The staff was very educated and engaging. The Mendenhall portion of this excursion was not as awesome. You don't get really THAT close to the glacier, and our tour guide was kinda meh.

Choose this over the train.
Great Tour!! They do a great job of stopping at viewpoints all along the way. Giving everyone gets off and are able to take great photos with family and friends. The bus was comfortable and our tour guide Dave was not only firing off great info but he was quite funny also, and kept us entertained throughout. The views are spectacular and the suspension bridge is really cool. I was so happy we took this tour instead of the train, especially when i saw the line for the train. The train doesnt stop, you are stuck on that thing, your opportunity to take quality pics while moving isnt good and forget about getting any family members in the photos.

Stunning!
Absolutely stunning trip. They go out of their way to get you up close to glaciers, wildlife, and gorgeous landscapes. The crew is friendly and so knowledgeable of the area and nature. We were very lucky to see a group of humpback whales "bubble hunting", the captains all communicated with each other to bring as many boats as possible to see this incredible sight. That said, our captain also clearly had tremendous respect for the animals and explained how they safely approach them but keep enough distance to keep them safe and not interfere with their feeding. The Kenai peninsula is a must see in Alaska, so glad we added time to drive down there from Anchorage and this tour was the perfect way to see it.

Best day ever
Everything was remarkable the tour the staff the entire experience, 10 out of 10. Even if you didn’t see any wildlife, just the scenery itself is exceptional. but we saw whales and bald eagles and sales and walruses and puffins and glaciers. It was remarkable.

The state of Alaska is enormous, and more than half of it is wilderness—so it should come as no surprise that a majority of Alaska tours are focused on exploring the great outdoors. You can go for a hike on icefields, take a boat ride to look for whales, get a bird’s-eye view of glaciers and fjords from a helicopter, marvel at the scenery in Alaska’s national parks, stay up late to see the northern lights, and hop on a dog sled. There are also tours in some of Alaska’s most popular cities, including expert-led sightseeing and foodie adventures.
