We had such a great time at The Reindeer Grove. Graham was a wonderful host. This was a unique experience in our two week adventure exploring Alaska and a highlight for sure. Getting a glimpse into the life and goals of this family, seeing their beautiful home, store, and property, and petting and feeding their reindeer was an experience I would highly recommend for all ages. The joy of meeting these sweet creatures and their caretaker was really special for us.

Fabulous time spent learning about reindeer and interacting with mother reindeer and their babies. The owner welcomes you into his home, offers drinks, and talks about the homestead. Afterwards, we went outside to meet the reindeer, which was very exciting. Adults and children alike, marveled at how soft and gentle they were. There was another tour that spent an additional hour walking on the homestead exploring herbs and flowers and their medicinal properties (separate tour that includes the meet and greet with the reindeer first). Overall, highly recommend for kids and adults for a unique experience!

We were very very pleased at getting to meet all the reindeer and feed the mommas and babies. They let us meet the dad and learn all about how they are raised and how they survive the winters and how they cool off by dipping hooves in water bowls in the summer. We loved getting to be up close and personal with the beautiful animals. They also had two lovely dogs whom were very very friendly. The cabin had drinks and a small shop in it, where we were checked out by the best four year old little man around. He was the cutest salesman we have ever met. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who would like to learn more about raising reindeer’s or just want to pet and fed some for good photos this is the place for it!!!! Our three teenagers were very happy the whole time and any mother out there knows how hard it is to have three teens stay entertained!

Great and personal experience with Graham. He was funny, knowledgeable, and answered all questions. Definitely something for folks of all ages. Plus the dogs were cool too.

Some days the reindeer are friendly, sometimes more stand-offish - like most animals! Owner has 2 delightfully friendly dogs and the gathering cabin is gorgeous, very informative host!
