Yorktown Museum, Battlefields & Historic Area-Private Guided Tour

Exclusive, private tour (only your family/friends) of the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown (ARMY), some of the Yorktown Battlefields (Surrender Field), the federal museum (National Park Service with General Washington's original tents from the American Revolutionary War), Victory monument, and alleged cave where Cornwallis retreated. The multi day pass...

The multi day pass allowed us better opportunity to see, and spend more time in all the areas. However, we visited during midweek, so we were disappointed so many buildings were closed, and no outdoor reenactments were held. Overall, it was still wonderful to see, and walk the historic streets and sites.

A great experience despite initial confusion.

What I saw and did at the various sites and museums was well presented and thorough. However, I had difficulty getting a clear description of the Triangle Tour, never able to print the voucher even with an agent’s assistance, did not get clear instructions . Somehow I mistakenly understood that we were meeting at the Visitor’s Center, traveling in an air conditioned bus with a guide to the three cities with an included colonial lunch in Jamestown. After two Days of trying to understand, a volunteer set me straight and was able to experience Jamestown and Williamsburg. Because of the wasted time I never was able to see Yorktown. Overall the solo tour was satisfying, very educational and worth the cost. I would recommend it .
