This tour was great! The opportunity to go “behind the scenes” and see the secret passages was well worth it. Note that the secret passages requires 170 steps, so not accessible. We had a member of our party that couldn’t do it and they helped us to have them join as soon as that part was over which worked great. The info given during the tour was very informative and helped to understand the time period and what was going on.

A wonderful hour spent learning with Alex
This was a wonderful one on one tour with Alex. Alex was very knowledgeable about the history of the house, the night lords, and various forms of torture implements. I’m glad I paid attention so she didn’t have to use any on me. Alex had the skill of a museum docent and curator who had been doing the profession for a decade, I was very surprised to learn she had only been doing tours for a year,
I highly recommend booking this if you’re in Venice. Ask for Alex and tell her Mike sent you so you can avoid being put in the Big Venetian chair.
Thanks Alex!

It was a wonderful experience. We couldn't find our tour group so we explored on our own. That was a great decision. We were only able to explore the Doge Palace and not tthe other sights that had been included as part of guided tour, as exploring the Palace alone easily took 2.5 of the 3 hour allotted time for the tour. Self directed tour can be done by downloading the app at the Palace and listening to the audio through your phone.

Venice Through the Eyes of a Local
Venice can be overwhelming, but Mikayla made it completely manageable — and truly unforgettable. She took us from the bustling St. Mark's Square and Piazzetta San Marco to the quiet back alleys most tourists never find.
Born and raised in Venice, her local knowledge was invaluable — from hidden restaurants to insider stories you won't find in any guidebook. We even stopped for a spritz on a scorching hot day. Highly necessary.
If you want to experience Venice beyond the crowds, Mikayla is your guide.

Great little tour!
This is a great tour of the basilica. It starts by the newsstand and we were given an audio earpiece. Our guide walked us through Piazza San Marco and then straight into the basilica. She talked about the mosaics and the marble and explained lots of information about this incredible place. The tour lasted around 40 minutes which was great. We then paid a small amount more to go into the museum and to go to the terrace outside which has spectacular views. Thoroughly enjoyable. The basilica is quite dimly lit, but she said that if you are there at 11:30am they light the inside up for an hour. This would be incredible but we weren’t able to do this as we were there earlier.
