Visits inside the Doge’s Palace have a typical duration of 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the time spent exploring the various rooms and exhibitions.

The tour runs even in light rain. Please note that during certain time of the year, high tide may occur. In that case, raised walkways are set up to allow access and disposable shoe covers can be purchased in front of the entrance.

Tour Felt Rushed

Although we did get to experience all the venues and experiences that were advertised, the tour felt rushed and we did not spend the amount of time, excluding the Gondola Ride, we expected to get a thorough and unique visitation.

Disaster at the Doge Palace

We were told to meet at a certain place 15 minutes early. We were 25 minutes early and the guide was no where. We messaged the tour company and they said they had made a mistake. Then gave us another meeting place. By the time we got to the second meeting point they had left. I tried messaging them again and they did not answer Terrible. Would not recommend

Venice Doge, Bridge of Sighs and Gondola Tour

The guided tour of the doge was well done and included the prison and the bridge of sighs. However, the gondola ride was easy to access, but five people were placed in one gondola with two people in the traditional seats of the gondola and three of us sitting on small wooden stools, and not able to take pictures or to view all of the sites along the canal. This was very disappointing.

The tour itself was fine, however they changed the time of our tour just 3 days before it was to start and moved it to a conflicting time we had tickets for the basilica. So we had to choose, VERY disappointing. If you book with them, don’t book any other tour the same day. We also got hooked into a glass blowing demo which was actually much more of a sales pitch to buy blown glass. Tour guide was good and the gondola ride was nice as the group was small and my husband and I had a gondola to ourselves.
