What are people saying about Tokyo

Strongly Recommend
Very fun expereince. Got to pick out what wood we wanted to work with and then spent the class shaving and then sanding them into shape. The chopsticks looked great at the end. We had a worker who consistently checked in on us and provided feedback and guidance throughout the process. It was very fun.

Great experience and enjoyable people
The experience was awesome, basically all hands on having them guide you through the process of selecting what type of coin you’d like to turn into a ring and wether you’d like characters out or imaging out, overall very hands on and a good learning experience for a souvenir worth keeping and wearing, even a good conversation starter, the two people helping us were very kind and polite the whole time we were chatting and working, exchanging stories, future plans, and goals we all have in life, we’ve loved meeting with them and it was a very nice experience something that will truly remind me of the characters in Japan.

Got to do this in Tokyo
My wife and I decided to make some souvenir rings in Asakusa. Camille was our ring making teacher. She was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. She greeted us with smile and made the experience very fun and memorable. They accommodated our 7-year child. We highly recommend it! Ask for Camille!

Sugoi Experience!!
If you are remotely interested in Bonsai, this was an amazing course! I can’t say enough about Sho! His knowledge, patience, and everything to make this course first class! Oh, and his English was amazing, no trouble connecting and communicating.
But as far as background of bonsai, and prepping for a newly potted bonsai plant was absolutely amazing! Foreal, just come and take it and you will be inspired and hooked to do bonsai! 100% highly highly recommend!

Excellent hands-on experience
This was a great experience for our family with teenagers. Everyone got into it, and it was a nice break from the heat. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I’ll add that the task required some delicacy and concentration- we embraced the imperfection in our work and staff helped out when we needed rescuing. Excellent value for money. Would recommend for older kids and up. Definitely geared to tourists.

Unique, creative experience
We really enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about Japanese culture through a more hands-on, creative lens. Our instructor, Kai, was very patient, attentive, and helpful. His instructions were clear and he had a lovely sense of humor. We would definitely recommend this experience for anyone in everyone.

Great experience to learn about Japanese culture
Isabella was super friendly and a great teacher for my first time making chopsticks :) all the tools are provided and you can jump right in choosing between different wood types. I learned about the different kinds of wood which was super interesting!! I loved the whole process. Also super cool you can choose to engrave something on your chopsticks and choose the kanji that spell your name. Great experience to learn something about Japanese culture!

Very nice experience with...
Very nice experience with my sons, they selected and applied their own rivets and buttons. Upsells get really pricey so if you can avoid the customization items and stick with included items, it’s a great price for the quality of the jeans (about $120 USD). The staff is friendly and guides you through the entire process.

Highly recommended. Well worth it
Fantastic experience. I was the only one in the group so I had a personal experience. I had a throughly enjoyable time. His teaching was excellent. I learnt about the history as well as the experience. He also gave me the opportunity to have photos done as well. Well worth it. Highly recommended. One of the highlights of my visit to Japan

Wonderful Paper Making Experience near Senso-ji in Asakusa
I had the pleasure of taking this class with Fuji. You get to wear the traditional workwear, learn about the process and get real hands on experience making the paper. The shop is so quaint near the Senso-ji shrine, but had so many beautiful traditional Japanese papers and paper related gifts. Highly recommend!

Perfect blend of history, culture, hands-on experience
This was a wonderful and memorable experience - highly recommend. It was the perfect mix of history and hands-on experience. We learned so much and had a great time. We loved hearing about the clan history, the various weapons, dressing as a ninja, trying some skills out. The woman who owns the dojo (whose descended from a great samurai house) and the gentleman samurai and female scribe were great - so kind and knowledgeable.

Fun experience for me and...
Fun experience for me and my wife! We got to pick out the small dish we wanted to repair, each had a unique crack in it. The artist and his assistant then guided us through how to repair the piece with clear instructions and were very nice. The art space is filled with his original art you can purchase and even buy kintsugi kits to take home. We really enjoyed this class and love the artwork we made.
