Don’t Hesitate!

Alex made the tour incredible! He was quite knowledgeable and entertaining. The views were STUNNING and Mother Nature was working in our favor. We’d initially been hesitant to give up a full day, but saw and learned so much that we’d do it again! Was a better experience - would have been miserable trying to drive.

Extremely cute considerate, knowledgeable and fun

We got held up with traffic and were quite late getting to the tour at Edinburgh Castle. I looked in my email to find a phone number and discovered there was a message from Edgar letting me know that he hoped we weren’t late because we didn’t see them. I called him back and within minutes he connected us with Callum (not sure of the spelling.) Both were fantastic and accommodating, not to mention personable. Callum did a great job delivering historical information with the added flavor of his English/Scottish humor. Callum was kind to offer us a chance to catch us up on what we missed from the beginning of the tour. It was an amazing tour that we probably would have missed, if not for Edgar going the extra mile to call me when he saw we were late. We highly recommend Viator!

Historical Edinburgh Castle with Intriguing History

This is a great tour when the historical narrative is included. Koffe was exceptional at framing the history with the experience. He was the best narrator for a tour I have taken. I felt like I received 1,000 years of history in 90 minutes in a well-spoken, clear and exciting story. I would highly recommend this tour and an excellent tour guide like Koffe.

The Highlands of Scotland

If booking the accommodation included option make sure you get where you are staying early and make a reservation for dinner as I wasnt informed and couldnt get in for dinner until a couple of travellers invited me to eat with them. Be sure to have good walking shies and a waterproof jacket in the cooler months. It was a wonderful experience and our Aussie driver Mark had lots of faerie tales as well as history to keep us entertained and a fun music playlist too. There are some amazing views and wonderful cozy shops to make everyone happy

Lots of driving, but breathtaking landscapes we wouldn't have otherwise seen, all narrated by a delightful guide

I booked the Loch Ness tour for myself, my partner, and four of my family members, all adults - we didn't realize just how much of it was going to be driving when we initially booked it, but the entire country of Scotland is absolutely gorgeous, so if you enjoy seeing breathtaking landscapes, this is definitely a wonderful option. With that being said, if you have issues sitting for extended periods of time, traveling up to Loch Ness may not be the best option for you. Our tour guide, Brian Smith, was an absolute delight - he shared hilarious personal stories as well as historical facts about Scotland, and you could immediately tell he genuinely takes pride in his country as well as being Scottish. There was a brief stop to meet three Highland Coos (definitely a personal highlight for all of us), a more-than-reasonable amount of bathroom breaks along the way, and we opted to do the Loch Ness boat ride when we arrived at our destination. Unfortunately, the weather didn't quite cooperate - it was fairly chilly and ultimately rained the majority of the time, but that was obviously outside of anyone's control, and we were still able to see some truly stunning views of the Loch. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys seeing landscapes and is ok with a fair amount of driving.

Spooky, fun and educational.

This tour was excellent. After a couple of days of sightseeing on my own in Edinburgh, this group tour was a welcome change of pace. It was interesting to learn about the city and its dark history. Our guide was cool and knowledgeable, and the group seemed to enjoy the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a good time.

Fun day with Mari! Lots...

Fun day with Mari! Lots of great scenery. The bus is comfortable. Mari was a very good driver on the winding roads and had lots of good stories. The bus had Scottish music playing too, both traditional and modern. Expect rain at least once. Bathroom breaks were nicely timed out. If you get carsick, make sure to arrive 30min early and nab a front seat. Don't expect to spend tons of time at any one location since so much if the time is spent driving or doing quick stops at viewpoints, bathrooms, or other points of interest.

Wonderful and Educational Tour

It was a cold and windy day, but dressed appropriately! Our tour guide, Ben was really outstanding. He was a local Scotsman and really shared a deep understanding of the city and surrounding neighborhoods. There is some steep walking. But enough time after the tour to explore the castle environs until 6 pm. Well worth it.

Great trip with Neil

Neil was a great driver and guide, offering Scottish history, fun pop culture facts (we pass many filming locations), and a curated music playlist. It’s a long day but he kept us on schedule without rushing us, and it goes by fairly quickly thanks to Neil’s stories, several stops, and incredible views. He had great recommendations for each stop as well, including a perfect viewing point for the train at the viaduct. Recommended for anyone visiting Edinburgh who isn’t renting a car.

Full day of Scottish highland culture and sights!

We had the best time on this Loch Ness adventure! Our driver was so entertaining and even made a few extra quick stops for us to see even more of the highland countryside. We heard Scottish music and stories throughout the drive, making it go by even quicker. I definitely recommend some motion sickness stickers/medication as it's a long day of winding roads. And arrive early as our tour bus left about 5 minutes early!

Fun in the Highlands!

This was a wonderful experience that took us to a number of cities approaching, and within, the Scottish Highlands. Our tour guide Jiri was super informative, and regularly checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable, and that all of our questions were answered. There was a significant amount of time spent on the bus, just because the Highlands are far from Edinburgh. We still thought that we spent a good amount of time in the Highlands, and saw some absolutely amazing views. It’s also important to note that the tour was very well organized, and our tour guide always kept us informed of the next stop and upcoming itinerary plans. Another thing we appreciated is the smaller group size, and the clean and comfortable bus. Would highly recommend this experience, and would do another tour with this company again.

Good fun and lil spooky

Enjoyed the underground ghost tour. Felt safe being escorted around at night and it’s really close to the Royal Mile. Major Weir was a great guide with some good stories. The tombs were really interesting, and I liked finishing near Greyfriars Bobby after the graveyard, got to see the Bobby statue without all the crowds during the day. Plenty of places nearby for a drink afterwards too. Definitely worth doing at least once.
