We had such a wonderful time on the Ghost and Mystery Tour! A special shout-out to our amazing tour guide, Niamh, who made the experience so much fun and engaging. Her storytelling was fantastic—spooky, fascinating, and full of Edinburgh’s history and mysteries. She really brought the stories to life!
It was the perfect mix of history, mystery, and a little bit of fright. 👻✨ Highly recommend Niamh and this tour to anyone visiting Edinburgh!

Krystal, our guide, was very personable. She knew a lot about the city and its history. But she had only one ghost story.

We had such a fun and fascinating time on the ghost tour of Edinburgh! 👻 The guide was entertaining, engaging, and did a great job bringing the city’s dark history to life.
One thing to know going in is that this is more of a spooky history and murder tour than an actual ghost tour. A lot of the stories focus on the gruesome murders, crimes, and fascinating history that happened throughout Edinburgh, with some ghostly tales mixed in.
Even though it wasn’t quite what I expected from a “ghost tour,” the stories were incredibly interesting and made walking through the old streets of Edinburgh feel completely different. If you enjoy creepy history, true crime, and legends, I’d definitely recommend it!

As a native English speaker we were unable to understand most of the guides commentary due to his Baltic accent and speed of speech. We left half way through. A lady who could understand even less left before us.

This is more like a dark history tour. Eric, our guide, did a good job storytelling, but he led a large group (18) quickly through VERY crowded areas. We, and a few others nearly lost him… a few tense minutes! Take note: there is a great deal of fast walking. We are fit for age 70, but for us it was challenging.

I've been on about two dozen ghost tours in different cities and was really looking forward to doing one in Edinburgh. This was a two hour snooze fest. The title was so extremely misleading. I could not believe how much our guide droned on about things that had nothing to do with ghosts, or even the city of Edinburgh. And the stories he told, some about his own life, were long and meandering and went absolutely nowhere. I was so disappointed I spent money on this. After having such a wonderful day in Edinburgh and being on a high, I was in the worst mood long before it ended. ...and our guide said at least four times throughout the two hours that he doesn't believe in ghosts--then don't do this tour!

Our tour guide, Melanie, was so animated and had wonderful stories to share! She took us to some areas of Edinburgh we hadn’t yet seen. Our children, ages 8 and 11 came and it was appropriate.

I honestly thought the tour might be a bit cheesy when I first booked it but I was pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. Nick was our guide and he was without a doubt the best tour guide I have ever had. He was very expressive and the most wonderful storyteller, it was clear he actually wanted us to enjoy our time on the tour. It was a beautiful walk around the city and I learned a lot. I could not recommend it enough! Thank you Nick!!

It was beyond our expectations- our guide was a fantastic storyteller- the walk was memorable- discovering lanes and alleys of Edinburgh with historical anecdotes. The murder and mystery stories were engaging and thought provoking too. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the walk.

It was great, a little hard to understand the English over a thick accent, but overall it was ok. We did have to leave the group a little early so didn’t get the full experience

So it’s not a ghost tour, more of a death tour. But it’s a fabulously entertaining way to learn about the history of Edinburgh. Nick was our tour guide and he has a talent for bringing these ancient stories to life. Murder, scandal, tyranny, tragedy, and it sets you up well to go to the surgical museum and Edinburgh castle with a sound foundation to fully appreciate the city. Thanks Nick!!
