We loved this tour so much that we still talk about it! I wish I could remember our tour guide. He was hilarious in a dry sense of humor way that really resonated with us. Beautiful locations, very comfortable drive. We would do this one again.

My husband, friends and I took a private trip from Inverness to Isle of Sky. Our driver, Andrew, was fabulous! He lives in the area and shared so many interesting facts.. We were able to travel at our own pace. Highly recommend.

We are so glad you enjoyed the tour scenery on your private Tour to the Isle of Skye but it's a ilttle dissappointing that you feel the tour you took with us was too long. By booking the extra attractions means that we have to entend the time lenght of the tour which we did explain to you in our correspondance.
On the day of the tour the guide checked that you knew it was an extended 12 hour tour and asked if you had any reasons to need to be back in Inverness for a specific time which there wasn't.
The guide has a route which you have approved and he tries to stick with this route to ensure that you see all the sights we have agreed you will see. Also from a health and safety point of view we know phone coverage on Skye can be a problem so in case of accidents we try not to deviate too much from the agreed route of the tour. The guide can however adjust times at locations within certain limits.
By the afternoon of the tour it seems you had made dinner reservations for a time within your tour time and needed to be back to Inverness for that. Despite the guide offering to continue to ensure you saw all the attractions you all seemed to want to return back to Inverness early.
We fully understand that when touring it can be really tiring and adjust the tour accordingly if we need to. Sometimes the geography of the Highlands can catch you out when travelling to further away destinations.

The tour was too hectic. We ended up spending only an hour at Isle. This tour needs to be planned in a better way so that one ends up doing justice to the main destination.

We are sorry that you felt this tour was not to your expectations however the tour you took was exactly as advertised here on Viator. It's definitely not a hectic tour, it's a personal private tour taken at the pace you feel is best for your and your family's needs.
It does however take about 2 hours from Inverness to reach your destination something you may have overlooked.
You are on the Isle of Skye, the main destination, for much, much longer than one hour, perhaps you didn't realise this. It's a big island and you travel through a great deal of it with several stops, local history and photo opportunities before reaching the one hour stop in main town of Portree. There is then further sightseeing on the Island before returning back to the Mainland and beginning the journey back to Inverness.
It's a shame you didn't speak more to your guide about this at the time you were on Skye. He is very experienced and would certainly have cleared up your misunderstanding of the amount of time you actually feel you spent on Skye.
Researching your tour requirements is always important before booking through a booking partner.

We booked a private tour. Our guide, Niall was exceptional. He is knowledgeable and knows how to tell a story to make it interesting to a visitor. He went out of his way to make the experience memorable for us. Thanks to him, we were able to see the top breathtaking parts of the highlands along with the fascinating history of the area. We even tried to dip our faces in the enchanted water that is supposed to give you eternal beauty 😊 He showed flexibility and yet made sure that we were able to see all the beautiful areas included in the tour. We could not have asked for a better guide to make our visit to Highlands so special. Highly recommended. We are now in love with Scotland.

Our guide made this trip really special. He was outgoing and engaging, and made the trip fun for all of us. It was fascinating to see the dramatic changes in geography as we left Inverness and toured the Isle of Skye. It was also great to be in a small vehicle with only 8 people.

This tour was amazing! Our tour guide was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, friendly, had a great sense of humor, and got us to some of the attractions before they got busy, plus some bonus adventures. I would highly recommend taking this tour because it has so many breathtaking views and as someone who drove around Scotland, it was nice to be able to ride and take all the views fully in. This tour is definitely worth the time if you are in Scotland!

We had a wonderful guide who provided lots of historical background and funny anecdotes. The stops were well planned and worthwhile. Being pressed for time, the minivan was the best way to visit Isle of Skye in one day.

It was literally an 8-hour tour. Mike is a great tour guide. He tells us nearly all the historical stories every scene on the way. He shares a lot of funny things about the places. Breathtaking views. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to anyone

Had a great day in spite of a storm coming our way. We were able to get much of the day done under clouds but rain held off until late afternoon. The ride is spectacularly beautiful. Mike, our guide was personable and knowledgeable and was overall outstanding. Skye was beautiful, can only imagine it’s splendor in a sunny day.
