Before our tour my wife said I hope our guide wears a kilt. Richie did indeed wear one and was a fantastic driver and guide! Right away he asked us where we wanted to spend extra time and customized the tour for us. We saw Clava Cairns first and learned about the ancient people who built them. None of us has seen Outlander but we will after the trip.
Next to the Culloden Battlefield where Richie explained what took place there. No need to tour the museum as we left having learned a lot.
Along our route we saw beautiful Highlands with sheep and Highlands cattle or Coos.
We had time for brunch and to relax.
Then on to Loch Ness to search for the monster. Don't take the boat trip because you can see from the road!
We pre-purchased tickets to Urquhart Castle and after the movie spent time exploring. We also did a local gin tasting and explored the Beauly Priory church ruins.
An awesome just packed with adventure and beauty!

Our husbands weren’t feeling weak so it was just my friend and I on the tour. We recruited some new friends to join us and we all toured with Richy. He was wonderful. A great day and a great tour! Went to every place on the list plus a bunch of places the guide squeezed in! Felt like we got lucky with this tour and, after days of cruise ship-booked tours, had the best tour of them all! Small size of the group even made it better and more individualized. Glad we went with the GREAT guide and independent operator rather than the cruise company.

What a fabulous day with Ritchie! He was the perfect guide. Eight of us traveled fairly comfortably in his mini van. Do be aware if there are large people in your party, probably should only be 6. We visited the Clava Cairns and stones where Clare went through the stone in Outlander. Very different from Stonehenge which we saw a couple of weeks ago. Then on to the Culloden battlefield which was extremely moving as Ritchie related the history. Lovely visitors center there. Urguhart castle was magnificent to behold. A short film sets the scene for the castle. We had a delicious lunch in cafe along the way and got to view Highland cows up close and personal. So cute! Gin tasting at Great Glen was the perfect finale to our tour. Big thanks to Ritchie whose history in the area made everything so much more interesting.

Richie was a fantastic guide. His tour was much more personalized and comfortable than other big coach excursions that we had done on our cruise. He took us to see some amazing spots for both site-seeing and photos in the highlands. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. Book this tour when in Inverness, you won’t regret it!

Great trip. We loved every minute of this tour. The guide took excellent care of us. A couple of people on the tour were Outlander fans so the guide took us to see some of the sites. I had never watched the show, but I really enjoyed seeing those sites and how happy it made the rest of the tour group.
