Great tour with Alastair. He was prompt, pleasant and a good driver. He clearly was very knowledgeable about the area and shared insights about the local history and natural environment. The tour was well paced with plenty of time at each stop and a small group size (6 of us). Highly recommend this tour with Go Highlands.

Was a good trip that gave a lot of insight to the highlands and quaint little towns. The castle is the star of the show and the gardens are spectacular. Make time to visit the Victorian museum near the gardens.

Absolutely love Dunrobin Castle, our driver Jonny was very friendly, pleasant and very knowledgeable. The little village Dornach and church we stopped at were very pretty and quaint.

Outstanding tour with local driver that knew the history and the stories of the area. Depending on how many sign up for the tour you may ended up with a personal private tour as my daughter and I did. This allowed us to spend more time at the castle so we could fit in a full tour of the castle, the gardens and see the incredible falconry show- it can not be missed and other tours don't spend enough time at the castle for this to happen! Johnny was the best ;-) I have mobility issues and he worked around that

We had a private tour with Trevor. It was a fantastic day and we went a little off the beaten path. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and very keen to show us hidden gems along the way. He grew up in the area and he and his family are still there. We never felt rushed and Trevor was very flexible and easy going. Would highly recommend Trevor to show you around and take you on a highland countryside adventure that you won't commonly find elsewhere.

We had a terrific day with Johnny! He has lived here all his life & knows every hill, building, fisihng hole etc.! He was always waving or honking at people he knew as we drove to the castle & they were responding with smiles. The castle was one of the most luxurious that we have ever seen. So many things are original and donated by the Sunderland family, it felt very personal touring this castle. The falconry display is fantastic! The gardens are beautiful and extensive. The views of North Sea are magnificent. Johnny took the "B" roads and we saw so much of the countryside, farming, crofts, sheep, cattle and he knew the plants - Scottish heather! A highlight day of our trip!!

Disappointing Aspects
1) Directions to meet guide were old and not correct, which led to confusion/angst to trying to find our guide. Fortunately, other guides from other agencies were around to help us and they ended up calling our guide to find him.
2) Guide was under dressed compared to other guides - not a professional appearance; hard to understand at times; superficial knowledge of the scenery along the way to/from the castle. He didn't even know much about the castle that was the main attraction of the tour.
3) Vehicle was clean. However, it was an older model with doors that were hard to close, back seats that were hard to enter/exit, and had an air conditioner that didn't work.
Other Notes
1) The guide was nice, friendly and tried to be helpful.
2) The castle was very nice to see, not fabulous.
3) The falcon show on the castle grounds was excellent.

Our tour guide, Johnny was an excellent guide! He stopped at some very great spots for pictures and he graciously took pictures of us with our cameras/phones and the knew the best place for us to stand for stunning views.
Dunrobin Castle was amazing! The gardens were spectacular! And Johnny got us there in time to see the falconry demonstration. The castle was beautiful.
We went to the Dornoch Cathedral. It was very pretty.
If we didn’t have to get back to the cruise ship he would have stopped so that we could do a whiskey tasting.

A very scenic drive to Dunrobin Castle from Inverness and back. Several stops both planned and spontaneous for photo ops. Johnny was an accommodating and flexible guide.

Jonny was a wonderful companion, who safely chauffeured us, told us a lot and who repeatedly allowed a photo stop. The tour was wonderful, the length of stay at the sights matched.
