- Maximum weight per person is 245 pounds. For safety reasons, customers will be weighed at check-in.
- Bioluminescent is a beautiful experience and with or without moon we could use a tarp.
- Kayaks are double (2 people per kayak). Odd numbers groups will be paired with another person on the tour. Single kayaks cannot be guaranteed to odd numbers. Children will only be assigned with their parents or family member of the same party.
- All participants must be able to row the kayak and complete the tour.
- Participants under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or with any type of misconduct won't be allowed.
- The Bioluminescent effect is a natural phenomenon that varies continuously and cannot be predicted nor 100% guaranteed.
- Pregnant travelers cannot participate
- This tour/activity will have a maximum of 30 travelers

The guides and owner were professional and caring about our experience. Even at the end there was a foot wash station and water and snacks.

The trip was great. I appreciated that the tour guide called to inform us in advance that the glow the previous night was not strong and that we may not get a strong glow on our night. He offered a full refund, but we decided to go ahead with the tour. We loved it. The fact that the tour guide made arrangements for a tropical storm made our experience even more fun :) The guides were helpful and friendly, and I would recommend them.

One of the worst guided experiences I have ever encountered, and unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable and memorable experience turned into a very upsetting and disappointing one.
From the beginning, we were having difficulty controlling the canoe and were unable to get through the canal on our own. One of the guides had to pull us through the canal. I immediately apologized and sincerely thanked him, telling him that I appreciated him helping us and understood that he was doing this for us.
Instead of responding, he said nothing and simply took us to the meeting point. Once we arrived, however, he began speaking to another guide about how we could not even make it through the canal and how he had to pull us the entire way. It was very clear from his tone and demeanor that he was extremely upset and frustrated with us.
The other guide tried to calm the situation and explained to us that the guide who had helped us was probably just tired. While I can understand someone having a difficult or tiring day, that does not excuse the way he treated us. Helping guests who are struggling is part of the job, and making them feel like a burden because they needed assistance is completely unacceptable.
We remained at the meeting point for a while, and when it was time to return to shore, the situation became even more disturbing. The same guide who had been upset told the other guide, “I’m not taking them back in because I will leave them if I have to.”
That statement was completely unprofessional, inappropriate, and honestly upsetting to hear from someone who was responsible for our safety. No guest should ever be made to feel that a guide might intentionally leave them behind simply because the guide is frustrated with them.
I want to be very clear we did not expect special treatment. We simply expected basic professionalism, patience, and respect. We apologized, thanked him for his assistance, and acknowledged that we were having difficulty. His response and attitude were completely unnecessary.
This was supposed to be a great experience, something we would remember and enjoy. Instead, it became a major disappointment because of the behavior and unprofessional conduct of one of your guides.
I strongly believe this matter should be taken seriously. Someone who makes guests feel unwelcome, complains about helping them, and threatens to leave them behind should not be representing your company or interacting with customers. I sincerely hope management addresses this situation appropriately so that other guests do not have to experience what we experienced.

Honestly, I DON’T recommend this tour from our experience but I still gave it 4 stars because the company was very up front about the not so ideal conditions of the bioluminescent bay. Basically, they gave us a choice to cancel the morning of but one of my kids still wanted to do it. The 3 tour guides and the staff were all very informative, patient and professional. They deserve 10 stars. The experience alone is just not enjoyable. We booked the 8pm tour and it was pretty dark. It’s hard to see while you kayak and it’s easy to run into the mangroves. It was a lot of effort and work to kayak the 1.5 miles in and out especially with the waves and currents making the kayak portion unemployable. Besides the stars being beautiful, you barely see any of the bioluminescent in the water due to conditions and light pollution. I also think that Fajardo is not the best place for viewing from what I heard. The guides helped us get under the tarp to see better but you had to swirl your hand in the water to see “something” but it was barely anything. Just some yellowish white tint around your hand.
Definitely save your money unless you just like kayaking on the dark and seeing nothing. Not the best tour for kids too.

This was a great experience with respectable company! We were supposed to do the 8:45 tour and received a phone call earlier in the day letting us know that due to circumstances out of their control, the bay wasn’t glowing much. They offered a full refund or the ability to keep our time slot or switch to an earlier time to enjoy the sight of the mangroves. We really appreciated the heads up and ultimately decided on the 6:45 tour. The kayak out to the bay was beautiful and well worth the trip! As it got dark, they put us all under large tarps to try and see whatever bioluminescence we could. Unfortunately, kayak on my side of the cluster weren’t able to spot any, but my husband and son did. The journey back through the mangroves in the dark was also beautiful! I’m actually very happy we switched to the earlier time as we were able to experience the journey in both the light and the dark. We’re experienced kayakers (although going tandem was a whole new experience in itself) so I can’t speak much on this experience for new kayakers. We all still received a quick explanation on how to hold and move the paddles, turn, etc. There’s some minor current where you depart/return but not once you get into the mangroves or the bio bay. The beginners in the group seemed to do fine and the one couple that struggled with the heavier current upon return was towed in by one of the guides.

The kayak trip at sunset was very beautiful as we paddled through the mangroves. We saw a monkey in the trees! The company had called us to warn that there has been no bioluminescence in the bay due to the sargassum seaweed. They offered to refund our payment if we canceled, which we appreciated. But our group wanted to kayak anyway and we enjoyed the mangroves on the way out to the big bay. Paddling back in the dark mangroves was not as enjoyable with tired kids in tow. But seeing the bright stars in the bay was lovely, despite no glowing in the water.

This was a great experience with my husband and daughter. No major kayaking experience required, however, they do give you some orientation for the basics. Make sure you wear clothes that can get wet. There’s no guarantee you will be able to see the bioluminescence, however, it is still a really cool experience kayaking towards the lagoon. Jonathan was a great tour leader! He was enthusiastic and knows a lot about the area.

Great guides, unfortunately plankton weren’t out to play, but saw monkey, crabs with bright claws and fluorescent scorpion that guide found in dark with blue light.

This was so much fun even though we didn’t get to see any bioluminescence. It was called the morning of the tour and was told that we probably wouldn’t see anything. They said I could cancel and get a full refund or go and see what happens. I so appreciated them letting us know we might not s good anything. We chose to go anyway. The guides were the star of this adventure. They were so kind and hilarious! I would definitely recommend this trip.

Really enjoyed the paddle overall. Appreciated the heads-up phone call by the company to let us know that the bioluminescence would be very little to not visible based on recent tour results, and to offer a refund if we decided not to go after all. We still wanted to go despite the warning, and unfortunately did not see any glow in the bay that night. Paddling through the mangroves to get to and from the bay was really cool. The mosquitos were a bit unforgiving, especially swarming around my youngest daughter seated in the middle between myself and my son who were paddling. This was despite us applying some of the provided bug spray ahead of time. I would have dressed us all in long-sleeves had we known they would be extra bitey! So consider wearing long-sleeves and be liberal with your bug spray application. Nice that they provided paddler photos on their Facebook page after the fact included with the price of the tour.

Well organized, guides write engaging and great service over all. Barely saw bioluminescence though. We had to go under a tarp and swirl our hands in the water to catch tiny glimpse of any at all. Overall fun kayaking w friends though.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Puerto Rico! The bioluminescent bay kayaking tour was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the water glow around our paddles was absolutely magical and seeing all the creatures at night was second to none.
What really made the experience exceptional was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. They were very accommodating especially for someone such as myself who is handicap (missing 1 arm and 1 leg). Their enthusiasm and positive attitude made the trip even more enjoyable.
We would absolutely do it again!

This was an amazing experience! None of us had ever kayaked before, and I went with my twin teenagers. Our guides, Jonathan, Julio, and Jenson, were friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and made the entire trip enjoyable from start to finish. They made us feel completely safe and confident on the water.
We didn't end up seeing the bioluminescence, but the company was upfront with us that morning about the low chances of seeing it and even gave us the option to cancel. We really appreciated their honesty, and we're so glad we decided to go anyway. The nighttime kayaking experience itself was unforgettable!
The location was easy to find, with a nearby park that has restrooms and a few restaurants, which made everything very convenient. The snacks provided at the end were a nice bonus and the perfect way to wrap up the tour.
I highly recommend this tour. Even if nature doesn't cooperate, the guides and the overall experience make it well worth it!

Participants paddle kayaks across a small bay, then through a mangrove forest through a narrow channel which feeds Laguna Grande, known for its bioluminescent algae. It does require some amount of upper body strength and coordination, but we were in a group with elementary school age kids who seemed to do just fine.
One caveat is that Sargassum seaweed levels are high and the bay is thick with it, and smell- or texture-sensitive folks may find it difficult to tolerate. Caveat number two is to know that the bioluminescence is low at the moment (June 2026). It's a little underwhelming to reach the lagoon only to see nothing at first.That said, the guides worked hard to make the experience as full as possible, and passed around a tarp to allow us to block out light pollution and see the glow of the algae.
Our way back was affected by the tide rising, increasing the current into the lagoon and requiring much harder work to keep the kayaks straight and moving forward. My partner and our 14-year-old got stuck in the mangrove channel along with another kayak. One of the guides went the extra mile to get them back to land and was a total professional. They are clearly used to working with tourists who have never kayaked before and are prepared to help in any way they can. Although there were some aspects of the experience that were less than ideal, i..e. the low bioluminescence and the overgrown Sargassum, the tour company did everything right and I don't hesitate to recommend them completely.

Had an amazing time. The guides were awesome and not only fun but gave us he best tips and advice to guide us and make us feel safe. We did the earlier time 6:45pm around sunset and it did not disappoint. The kayak experience alone was so beautiful! Of course getting to see the bioluminescence was the goal. Initially we used the tarp for the first few minutes but quickly were able to remove it and see it without. Overall great experience.

The guides were very charismatic, nice friendly, and fun. But was disappointed by the anti climactic bioluminescent bay lights. Not as bright as we anticipated. The guides place you under a tarp, but could only see tiny flares of light.
