Worth the trip! Beautiful memories.
Beautiful, WORTH IT, great fun, and a little gross. 10 out 10 for stars, clear canoes and experiencing the bio-bay. You need a cab to get there from the pier (other side of the island). Customer service was responsive for questions. English or Spanish option for tour guides, and they made it fun showing/explaining the constellations. Water was so warm and a truly cool experience with the bioluminescence- better than any other bay I’ve been to. The gross part: it had rained, we had to be barefoot to wade through funky, mirky, leafy water before getting into the canoes - everything the internet told me not to do. BUT it was all amazing and we had a great birthday in the bay for my tween

Great Experience and Wonderful Guides
This was such a fun experience. I was a little scared because I’ve never kayaked before, but the guides Odla and Eman were phenomenal. They were very patient, kind, and funny! Odla especially made me feel very comfortable and reassured (& his humor was top tier). They even sent out a list of popular places to eat and visit during our stay!! I highly recommend this activity and these two guides!

Amazing trip.
Fantastic tour. Time of year not great for the luminescence part of the kayaking experience but would still hands down do this again. Eli, Kimberly, Gabriel, Manolo did a fantastic job of wrangling everyone and explaining parts of the bay. The kayaking going back was amazing in the dark. The photos were fantastic. So glad we did this!

Visiting the bio bay is one of the main reasons I came to visit Puerto Rico in general and it truly was an unforgettable experience and memory to never forget. Our guide was super knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable if you're a beginner and you can tell takes care and pride of the bay. I would definitely book again when coming back :)

Vieques Bioluminescent Bay Trip, June 2026
Don’t worry about having water shoes. Flip flops are a good option.
You will need shoes to walk towards the water, but will be asked to remove them before loading into the clear kayaks.
Any bug spray with Deet is a no, no because it hurts the environment.
Walking into the water was mushy, so just a warning for those that are sensitive to that sort of thing. The kayaks are 2 person.
When we finally got going, looking down at the glass bottom was fantastic. It glowed like glitter as we paddled out to the bay.
We had our main guide in the front and another tailing the group. They were both super friendly and helpful. Our tail guide watched to make sure we didn’t float away.
The tour was so educational. The guide spoke about the history and science of the bay, but also the stars in the sky.
Absolutely beautiful experience!
I highly recommend the tour for those that know how to use a kayak or it might be challenging to enjoy.
Last note, you will get a bit wet when paddling out and back.

What an incredible...
What an incredible experience! The Bio Bay Kayak Tour in Fajardo was one of the highlights of our Puerto Rico trip. From the moment we launched our kayaks, the guides were friendly, organized, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel comfortable and safe.
Paddling through the mangrove channels at night was an adventure all on its own, and seeing the bioluminescence light up the water was absolutely magical. Pictures don't do it justice—you truly have to experience it for yourself.
The guides were fantastic throughout the entire tour, sharing information about the bay and making sure everyone stayed together and had a great time. Their energy and enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable.
We had an absolute blast and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Puerto Rico. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience and something we'll never forget!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended! 🛶✨💙

The hosts were great and made sure we had a good time regardless. The paddle back is much harder (against the current in the dark) than the paddle out, so be aware. They told us to arrive 40 minutes early, which was unnecessary and anxiety inducing for the person in our group that was unsure/afraid. 15 minutes early was more than enough time.

Raul is the Goat!
Raul was the best guide! We were in a group of six and he was so patient and even drove us back to our airbnb after a long day! He was also very informed about the bioluminescence in the area and even shared some insane photos of the area with us later on.

Just go it’s worth it!
It was a GREAT DAY!! Here is my run down. Communication about pick up/location/what to bring (most via text after signing up) was clear and easy. The rainforest was THE BEST PART OF MY DAY. We went on a natural rock slide, cliff jumps (approx 20ft), and a rope swing. What I appreciated was that since they recommended you don’t bring your phone, they were taking photos and videos of everyone doing all the group activities and then added them into a shared album at the end of the day. It was so nice to disconnect and not have to worry about it. ALSO, our tour guides Bradley and Amartio WERE INCREDIBLE! They are both lifeguard certified and had so much great information to share. They cut us an incredible platter of fresh fruit which was awesome as well! They dropped us off at the cutest marina based restaurant for an early dinner (approx 430pm) and then we kayaking. The was difficult to see the bio bay coloring but that was not the kayaking company’s fault. The kayaking can get pretty intense in some areas with added difficulty that your kayaking in the dark on the way back. But it was still fun all the same. It’s a long day and we got back to Old San Juan via the transport at approx 10pm. However, we are here for a long weekend and it was the perfect way to do two things on our bucket list. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AND GO!

Fun Experience - highly recommend
Super fun and cool experience! Kayaking was a bit challenging against the current, but overall not too difficult. Don't expect crazy glow, but it is definitely visible. Prepare to get wet from the waist down, definitely recommend having a change of clothes.

A must
highly recommend and truly appreciate Joshua. He made our experience unforgettable. At the beginning, I was a little nervous because I had a bad snorkeling experience before, but Joshua changed my mind and made everything feel calm and relaxing. We were very far from the beach and still felt safe, which allowed us to truly enjoy the experience and see many colorful fish. Although we did not see sea turtles, that was okay we saw many kinds of fish in different colors. We did many tours and adventures, and we believe this one is at the top of our list, especially with Joshua

A Must Do!!
I had an amazing experience!! Andrew was phenomenal! My son is on the spectrum and was afraid to try something so different. Not only did Andrew reassure him everything was going to be ok, he stood close by the entire time making sure he felt comfortable. The experience itself was surreal, seeing marine life so close was beautiful. 100/10!!! Thank you for such a memorable experience!!
