What are people saying about Porto

Great fun!
A wise Portuguese man told us to avoid the tourist traps whilst in Porto but our boat trip on the Douro wasn’t in the slightest bit touristy and felt more like a cruise on the river sharing wine and snacks and chatting with old friends. We had a really nice group with us on the boat and our guides, whose names I sadly don’t remember, (they were cousins who shared the exact same birthday!)
were so friendly and funny that the time just flew by and we were sorry for it to end! It was one of the highlights of our weekend in Porto (sorry, not sorry Miguel! 😉)

Sail in style
Beautiful night of sailing on the river. This cruise is different as it is on a sailboat with more intimate setting. We were able to sit out on the bow of the boat, on very comfortable large pillows, truly unique. Comfortable couch sitting in the stern area. Our crew Camilla and Carlos very attentive. The crew even provided some light blankets as it was a bit chilly. This cruise sails out of the Douro marina just a short uber or taxi ride. The crew offered complimentary drink/ wine beer soda. The boat is equipped with a restroom.

A wonderful way to see Porto and Gaia from the river!
A perfect way to spend the afternoon, this two hour tour was both relaxing and informative. The boat was comfortable and the small group size allowed for a more intimate experience! David and Barbara were amazing and we could not have felt more welcome! Thanks for a great experience!

Incredible Yacht Cruise in Porto!!
We had an amazing time on this 6 Bridges Yacht Cruise! The food was excellent and the captain and crew couldn’t have been more attentive to us. We sat on the bow the entire time and never were without someone describing the history of Porto or serving us a drink or great food. Rui, Diogo and Bia were exceptional hosts and made our first day in Porto a very memorable one. We’d highly recommend this cruise, especially to first time visitors to Porto!!

Best way to explore Porto
Best way to see the sights and discover where you want to explore further. Raphael was so engaging and his enthusiasm and pride in Porto is evident. From the start of the tour the waiting area is comfortably furnished. Really well done with lovely friendly people. Highly recommend!

Fabulous trip along the Douro River!
I booked this experience as a birthday gift for my husband and it didn't disappoint! Antonio was really lovely and made us feel very welcome. Great stories of the history of the bridges that we passed beneath. We enjoyed some lovely cheese & charcuterie, port wine and some bubbly too! The weather was great which definitely helped! Would highly recommend as a private charter; very reasonably priced for the experience. Thank you!

Lovely tour to Douro valley
Our tour guide Pedro was really knowledge as he was originally from the Douro Valley. He talked about the land, the people, some history, and the food. We visited to a winery, had lunch at a delicious restaurant with a beautifully view and then a boat ride before heading back. He also promised no rain in the valley unlike Porto. Thank you Pedro and our driver Luis for a pleasant day.

Must do yacht experience!
To begin with the boat is beautiful. We were able to choose what location to sit at and we chose the bow. What a dream.! we lounged on soft cushions had some lovely sangria and ate some delicious little snacks. All the while Nancy pointed out various points of interest and told us some history of Porto. She is a divine hostess. They were able to plan the viewing of the sunset perfectly and we arrived to a location where the sun sank right into the sea. I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better experience.

A unique way to see Gaia...
A unique way to see Gaia and Porto! We chose this adventure as a way to get familiar with Porto on the first day of our short stay there. We had a wonderful evening; the sunset was spectacular and seeing the cities from the water was a lovely way to start our trip.
Our guides were friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. The Porto tonic was delicious, as were the snacks. Additional cocktails were available for purchase.
The Duoro Marina is quite a bit away from the center of Gaia. If you’re taking a sunset tour, allow yourself at least 30 minutes to get through the traffic!

Trip down the Douro
Outstanding way to spend a few hours in Porto and to learn more about the history.
Fantastic guides in Luca and Paulo who looked after us fantastically well..
Great value for money which included great food and wine and company.
If you’re ever going to Porto, this experience is an absolute must.
Cheers Luca and Paulo. Absolute stars.

Great Tour!
A lovely way to spend an afternoon in Gaia. Ricardo was very informative and explained all about the processes and differences between between the Port Wines. We went to 3 local and small wineries although not the 3 stated on the itinerary. There was no olive oil or honey tasting as stated. The walk was quite steep at first which some may need to be aware of but very doable for most people. Would defiantly recommend.

Super cruise at a reasonable price
After a scenic bus ride to port, the 60 mile venture slowly meandered along beautiful terraced vineyards the first half. The lunch was surprisingly elegant for such a tour. Going thru locks, one lowering us 114 feet was memorable. The 6 bridges of Porto were impressive (Consider the pictured boat only as an example-- our boat looked nothing like it.)

Not seeing something you are looking for?
Porto is built up from the Douro River, which historically provided the city’s wealth through its port and today serves as a gateway to wine regions, ancient ruins, and the Atlantic Ocean. Choose your adventure with Porto cruises: perhaps a full-day tour up the river to a vineyard, a small-group cruise and lunch, or a luxury tour of Porto’s six bridges from the water. Whether you choose a larger group tour or a private boat with a dedicated captain, you can’t go wrong in one of the continent’s most scenic cities.
