What are people saying about Pompeii

Excellent! Funny, enthusiastic, passionate tour guide
Our tour guide Tonia was funny, enthusiastic, and her passion made the entire tour very fascinating. 2 hours is the right amount of time; though, I wish we would have given our selves a little more time to explore in the end as the ticket is good for the remainder of the day after the tour is over. Our guide showed some of the less popular sites which helped to avoid the crowds, and she was sure to keep us in the shade whenever possible. It was the right amount of history, culture, and personal reflections which kept us engaged. Our guide helped us understand how different structures were designed so that when we did explore on our own, we were able to identify different buildings. Definitely bring sunglasses, sunscreen, and a refillable water bottle. There are free water fountains along the path which are original, excavated fountains! (with modern plumbing). Would definitely recommend!

The essential historic tour in style...and wine!
This is the true full day experience that was the best investment. We got great historic details, the little details about Pompeii you wont get on other tours, see everything up close with a highly knowledgebable and personable guide was the difference maker. An important note of thanks as advanced communication with the tour provider allowed us to add an extra stop on in our day at Bosco di Medici winery.

Good tour - excellent guide
Very knowledgeable guide ‘Sergio Pisco’. We covered all the main areas of interest at a good pace with sensible break part way through. Sergio answered all questions with his extensive knowledge - very approachable good guy 👍.
Excellent Bluetooth earpieces kept us in contact at all times.
Pompei site is vast and to do it without a guide is not advisable.

Vincenzo explained...
Vincenzo explained everything clearly and planned the day exceptionally well despite the tight schedule. For a day trip covering both places, we were able to learn a great deal and gained valuable insights that helped us understand the ruins much better. We saw many different things, yet never felt rushed. Thank you!

Book it! It was one of the highlights of our holiday!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our vineyard tour, tasting and lunch. It started with a warm welcome and then a private tour for our group of 6 around the vineyard in a golf buggy. It's a beautiful place with its own ruins, a stables, a hotel, a small 'zoo' and a pretty outdoor seated area for lunch and tasting. We were initially given a glass of spumanti, which was lovely, and then taken to our table. Our group were sat on our own table and had our own sommelier. She was lovely and really funny. We were given a glass of white, a rose and two reds alongside our lunch, which was also great. We bought another bottle to share as well, although we probably didn't need it! After a long morning exploring Pompeii this was a perfect way to spend the afternoon and one of the highlights of our holiday. It's also very close to the main Pompeii train station - we walked from the park and then got a taxi back.

Eliana and Pompei- perfect bucket list experience
Ever wait your whole life to see something, only to fear the experience won't live up to the hype? For me, that was Pompeii. I'd been waiting since grade school to walk those streets.
I'd hyped myself with visions of ornate beauty. But that was tempered by the math. Pompeii at its peak was home to nearly 20,000 people. Today, with huge portions of the city still unexcavated, there are typically that many tourists or more all jostling to see the same things.
I braced for the worst.
Thankfully, my wife hired Eliana Sandretti as our guide. Confident, easy going, and carrying more knowledge than any one person should reasonably possess, she managed to make it feel like we nearly had the city to ourselves.
She steered us through the ruins and around the tourist chokepoints without ever making us feel rushed or stalled. The tour moved at our pace. She took time early on to understand what mattered to us, then built the experience around that.
Her eye for detail — sharpened through years as a working archaeologist — consistently surfaced things we would have walked right past. Even more compelling were the stories she told about the people: how they lived, and how they died.
By the end, you'll find yourself glancing uneasily at Mt. Vesuvius, quietly hoping today isn't the day it decides to finish the job.

Pompeii
Italo was a fantastic guide for 2 hours around Pompeii. Very relaxed, humorous and knowledgeable. Went by train from Sant Agnello which took about 50 minutes. Went in April. Wouldn’t like to visit in summer though. I expect it would be difficult to get around

For the tour of the ruins, our tour guide Daniel was incredible. He was equal parts informative and fun. We were never bored and he kept us moving. There is a lot to cover and he did so at the perfect tempo. We greatly appreciated how passionate he is about his hometown that he loves so much. This made our tour experience fantastic. The wine tasting was incredible as well. The staff were incredibly nice and also informative while still keeping it light and enjoyable. The wine and food were delicious of course!

Engaging, knowledgeable, fun and interesting!
Our tour guide, Elisa, was amazing! From the moment we walked through the gates she told us what we could see with a very engaging mix of humour and knowledge. She took us to all the best spots and told us many of the stories behind the ruins and had answers to any questions our group had! There was points within the tour where she let us go and wander for 5/10 minutes in places where there was a lot to explore but most of the tour was in our group of 11 which I think was a perfect size after seeing some other tours whilst we were there in huge groups. Thank you for making exploring Pompeii so enjoyable and bringing the history to life!

Pompeii is so expansive so this tour was a great way to see a good portion of the site with highlights. Our tour guide was well versed on Pompeii knowledge and was able to provide excellent history and stories in an engaging way. We spent a couple hours after the tour continuing to explore the site. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to understand more about Pompeii!

Amazing way to spend a few hours!
Mario was an excellent tour guide! Very knowledgeable and professional. It was a hot day, but Mario made several stops on the way up to point out the landscape and provide some information. My family and I enjoyed the hike and the views. Highly recommend! Even better if you get Mario as your guide.

Perfect Pompeii Day with Francesca!
Booking the family option tour of Pompeii with Francesca was the one of best decisions we made in Italy! She was absolutely amazing and truly brought the ancient city to life for our family. Our three children, ages 9, 7, and 3, were completely captivated by her engaging storytelling and incredible preparation. My wife and I were just as enthralled! Francesca's expertise shone as she strategically navigated us through the site, expertly avoiding crowds to give us a surprisingly intimate experience, even on a very busy day. She is so smart, kind, and clearly passionate about Pompeii. She made our visit incredibly special and memorable.
