What are people saying about New Zealand

Great Tour - you should do this.
The trip starts in Auckland and takes a 2 hour drive south through the beautiful farmland of the north island. You will either go to the caves or to Hobbitown. Our tour went to the caves first which I think might have been better. The caves were an awesome site. The tour was interesting, something I've never seen before. After the caves we drove for about 2 hours to Hobbitown, had a bite to eat (included with the trip) and had a2 hour tour through the movie set. Sam was our guide at the movie set, who was really engaged and truly seemed to love what he was doing. It is interactive, so ask questions. The attention to detail is spot on. The tour is a walking tour. It is up and down hills and tough for folks that have mobility issues. If you are in a wheelchair this isn't for you. After the tour there was a 2 hour drive back to Auckland. Mike was our driver and guide through the day. He was very nice, provided excellent info through the day, kept us all on track and on time. Can't say enough good things about Mike, a true professional. I would recommend this tour to anyone. Even if you aren't a Lord of the Rings fan.

Amazing tour!!!!
This tour by far blew away my expectations and it was 100% thanks to the tour operator Danny!!! He was by far the best tour driver/ operator that I have ever experienced. He made the long drive fun by playing games, music trivia, sharing the best facts on New Zealand, and the culture. I am looking at doing another tour with Cheeky Kiwi and it is all thanks to Danny!

Great except for feeling a bit rushed at times, but well worth the cost!
The entire drive/cruise tour was absolutely epic! The bus was comfortable enough and the glass roof was very nice for feeling really immersed in the wonder of the scenery we were driving through. The one semi-downer was that the bus driver, while friendly, knowledgeable&a safe driver, mentioned more than once that "we" were behind the time curve for New Zealand driver labor laws, which felt a bit like pressure to rush through every stop. He mentioned it again when we transferred to the cruise portion, asking us to be sure to be on time to meet him afterwards even though we had no control over the cruise boat's schedule. This also included not being able to make a bathroom or even leg-stretch stop on the return trip until we were almost back in Queenstown anyway, which was puzzling. There was a bathroom on the bus, but the driver never mentioned if it was unlocked or not. He also said that only one of the several bus cleaners would be able to make it to work that night and asked us to be sure to take all our trash with us. These are very minor quibbles of course, but it was consistent enough of a theme that the company might try to tweak their scheduling to avoid these problems. Otherwise, it was a great tour and very good value for the cost. Overall very enjoyable!

We drove our own car and experienced beautiful scenery, very very disappointed in the cost of parking fees $10/hr. The boat tour was absolutely magnificent, the information was very informative, the waterfalls were beautiful, 2hrs was heaps and not over done, compliments to all.

New Zealand has an entire continent’s worth of climates, natural beauty, and adventures crammed into two small islands. On the same trip, you can fly over a glacier in a helicopter; cruise the scenic Milford Sound on a sailboat; and meet indigenous communities during a cultural immersion experience with Maori guides. Plus, the Middle Earth-obsessed can explore Hobbiton, where the Lord of the Rings set lets your imagination run wild. There are New Zealand tours for every traveler type in this incredible country.
