What are people saying about Naples

Simply spectacular!
Incredible day exploring Sorrento, Positano, and Amalfi! Our guide, Arturo, was absolutely amazing. He were incredibly knowledgeable, punctual, and made the entire journey fun and stress-free. Driving the coast is no joke, but we were in expert hands with our driver, Angelo (Angel). Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Really charming tour with a great guide
We've been to Naples many times but never had a chance to go to the AMALFI coast. When choosing a tour we wanted something boutique and well ri, not too fast. We had a great time with Carmela, our lovely guide who was formed but kind in keeping us on time. Mire importantly, she was very knowledgeable about the area. Our only complaint was the restaurant for fiid: great view, horrible Italian food. Rally bad abs should upgrade the menu or change restaurants.

Amazing!
We booked a combined day tour from Naples to see both sites. Our day started at Pompeii. Our guide Mimi was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the ruins to life with stories about daily Roman life, pointing out details like ancient graffiti and chariot grooves in the stone that we would have completely missed on our own. Seeing the plaster casts was a very sobering experience. After lunch, our tour bus took us up Mount Vesuvius. The hike up from the drop-off point to the crater took us about 25 minutes. It is definitely a steep climb on loose gravel, but taking short breaks to look out at the views made it manageable. Peering into the crater was surreal. My Advice: Wear proper walking shoes! The ancient stones in Pompeii are uneven, and the climb up Vesuvius is steep and slippery.

A truly engaging and enjoyable experience
Our full‑day tour through Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi and Ravello was executed to an outstanding standard, thanks to the remarkable teamwork of Greta, our guide, and Mario, our highly skilled driver. From the moment we departed Naples, Greta was engaging, organised and genuinely invested in ensuring everyone had a memorable experience. At each stop and along the way, she provided clear guidance, helpful insights, and a well‑timed schedule that allowed us to explore each town comfortably without ever feeling rushed. Her energy and professionalism carried through right until our final moments in Ravello. I strongly recommend opting for the Amalfi boat trip (an additional €20 per person). The views from the water were breathtaking and added a spectacular dimension to the day. A special mention must go to Mario, whose driving skills were nothing short of extraordinary. Navigating the famously narrow and winding Amalfi Coast roads is no small feat, yet he handled every challenge with calm precision. At one point, when another bus struggled to manoeuvre a tight stretch with no marked lanes, Mario reversed into a narrow, twisting space that left many of us wondering how it was even possible. His composure and expertise turned a potentially difficult situation into a moment that ended with applause from the entire group. Overall, this was an excellent tour — great value, beautifully organised, and thoroughly enjoyable. I would happily book again with the same company, and if possible, with the same exceptional duo. Thank you, Mario and Greta, for a truly fabulous experience.

On grand tours of Italy, travelers often make Naples a staging point for exploring Pompeii, the Amalfi Coast, and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Skipping the city isn’t recommended, but it’s easy to see why some travelers do—there are too many enticing day trips to choose from. On day trips from Naples, you can avoid the stress of planning and driving and visit world-class archaeological sites, the stunning Amalfi Coast, and looming Mount Vesuvius. Less known but no less alluring destinations such as Paestum, Cilento, and the Royal Palace of Caserta are also in a day’s journey.
