A wonderful experience
Today has been a wonderful day. We’ve experienced food tours before and enjoyed them, but today Mara proved to be a professional and knowledgeable guide, who quite righty takes pride in Funchal and wants her party to experience it too.
Food, wine and culture are all shared with warmth and enthusiasm. We enjoyed every minute. Thank you !

Wonderful!
We had a wonderful experience! We booked the transfer a couple of months before, and had a couple of questions. Elizabeth was very responsive and provided very thorough and clear answers. We were staying at Quinta do Monte, but that was not an issue at all. On the day of the hike, our driver Carlos picked us up at a restaurant close to our hotel at the exact time we had agreed on, and again provided excellent guidance on what the best sunrise viewing spot was and where to go afterwards. He was humorous! We had plenty of time to complete the hike, and even had an hour to spare to enjoy a cold sangria at the bar at the end of the hike. We were picked up again on time at the end and were left off in central Funchal as we had agreed on. Everything worked out so wonderfully well. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again if I ever decide to come back for seconds!

We had the best time; a super knowledgeable but relaxed guide who brought a lot of fun. Great wines, great views. Absolutely worth the cost and a good lunch stop too. Never too rushed, and a small group made it feel very personal throughout. Thank you!

Five stars is not enough for this lovely experience
What a truly special experience to be invited by somebody into their home and have them cook for you in the midst of their beautiful farm overlooking an incredible city view! We are so incredibly thankful to Andreas and his team for making this a night we’ll fondly remember for years. The food and the drinks were superb, the atmosphere was stunning, and the company was lovely. We all left the evening with our bellies and hearts full. Definitely don’t miss this!

Bruno was a lovely driver, very impressed that he did the tour in two languages.
The valley itself was very impressive, the view is incredible. We had already been to Camara de lobos on a previous tour, so we took the opportunity to have lunch which was good.

A great introduction to the food and drink of Madeira
We were a very small group, Matt our guide had a great sense of humour and was really informative, giving us plenty of local history, explanations about all the plant life, as well as the local food and wine. The tour was very relaxed and moved at our pace with numerous stops for samples of alcohol and food. For those concerned about accessing toilets there were plenty of opportunities on this tour. A diverse range of foods and wines to sample offering a very pleasant introduction to local eating and drinking habits.

A great trip out
An amazing trip around the north west coast of the Island. Noum was very interesting, being able to speak both Portuguese and English whilst driving up and down those roads was incredible! We made a group consensus not to stop at the first stop as it was too foggy but to do it on the return journey. The next village after that was lovely as was the lunch stop - enjoyed the lido and the waterfall after. The stop after was beautiful although I think 25 was perhaps a little too long?? Return journey was good and stopped at the first stop! All in all a great day out for the family. Would recommend

Excellent tour with stunning views
Great relaxed tour with beautiful viewpoints with a Balcoes walk and stunning views at Pico Areeiro. Sebastian, our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative, drove safely, catered for our group needs (8 of us) and did the tour at a relaxed rather than rushed pace.
Only improvement would be longer time at Pico Areeiro as that was the highlight. Highly recommend this tour.

LOVED this experience!
Loved everything about this experience! Our guide Luis was amazing, super fun, knowledgeable and you could tell he wanted us to have the best experience. The 4x4 jeep tour was a great way to see the island and ending at an amazingly beautiful winery with amazing wine was a great way to spend an afternoon! Highly recommend.

A great day out!
Had a fantastic day out with Monica. Visited three different places for wine tasting. Had two short “unofficial” stops in between to take in the beautiful scenery. Lovely, comfy car which seated 7 plus Monica who drove and explained things on the way. Plenty of food and wine for lunch with amazing views over the vineyard. Was a lovely day out which we really enjoyed.

A great way to spend an afternoon
Fab little tour of a gorgeous part of the island. Worth it for the views at the first stop alone. We also stopped at a lovely little cafe at the second stop and indulged in some chestnut treats, including cake and liqueur. Our guide was very friendly and informative. All in all, a great way to spend an afternoon.

A must do!
This is a must-do for any wine lover visiting the island! Manuel was our guide and absolutely wonderful! He got to our hotel early to pick us up and shared great knowledge about the area with us on the drive. We stopped in a cute fishing town to see Winston Churchill’s church and then at the highest cliff for some beautiful pictures of the island - both stops were well worth it! Then we headed to Barbusana for a quick vineyard tour (it was cold and muddy) with a small group before joining the host inside for the tasting. We had 3 reds, 1 rose, and 2 reds (all were delicious!) alongside a small meat and cheese tray. The host at the vineyard was incredibly knowledgeable on the vineyard and how they grow grapes in Portugal and it was great to learn from her. The highlight of the trip was Manuel - he was so fun and knowledgable. We would definitely book another trip with him when back in the area.
Tips: bring 3 euros per person to visit the cliff and comfy shoes (that you don’t mind if they get dirty).
