Great experience, especially if you’re short on time
Great way to see most London highlights if you only have a short period of time. Howard was an excellent tour guide. He was funny and knew a lot of the history. And our driver was excellent at navigating the busy London streets during a period of heavy traffic. I would definitely recommend.

Amazing Private Black Cab Tour of London with JP!
We took the Premier Classic London: Private Sightseeing Tour by Black Cab in July 2026 with my family, and it was an absolute highlight of our trip. Our guide, JP, made the whole experience special from start to finish.
JP was incredibly knowledgeable about London's history and landmarks — from Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament to Buckingham Palace, St. Paul's Cathedral, and everything in between. One detail that stuck with all of us: at Westminster Abbey, JP pointed out a tomb effigy with a dog carved at the feet of the person buried there, and explained that this was a symbol of loyalty — the idea that the dog "stayed" with its owner even in death. It's the kind of story that makes history feel personal, and it's exactly the sort of thing you'd miss without a guide like him.
JP also shared some great stories about his own background, including the origins of the term "cockney" — and told us with real pride that he's a cockney himself. Hearing that history from someone who actually carries that identity added a layer of authenticity to the tour that you just can't get from a guidebook.
What really set JP apart, though, was how much fun he made the photos. He didn't just snap a few quick shots; he had us doing silly, playful poses at each stop, and the results were some of our favorite photos from the whole trip. Honestly, between his encyclopedic knowledge, his warmth, and his obvious dedication to giving guests a great experience, JP is the kind of guide who's earned his own "dog at the feet" someday — his loyalty to his craft and his guests really shines through.
The classic black cab itself was a great touch (in our case, JP's cab was white), and having a private tour meant we could go at our own pace and ask JP as many questions as we wanted. We ended the tour at Borough Market, which was a perfect way to wrap things up. His recommendation for a great donut shop, Bread Ahead (try the pistachio flavor if they have it) was on point!
If you're looking for a private London tour, ask for JP — he's fantastic, and we couldn't recommend him enough.

Lee was an amazing tour...
Lee was an amazing tour guide. We had a great day and definitely learned a lot about the history of London. We stopped at all the important landmarks and even a few hidden ones. Booking a private tour is always worth the extra expense! Thank you Lee for the perfect introduction to London.

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle,
It was a great tip we are 4 a 10 year old boy and a 17 year old girl. The enjoyed the time it was a learning experience and had plenty of time. The castle was very interesting and lots to look at I recommend the audio guide. Stone Stonehenge, Windsor Castle, great combo.
