First, Incredible experience. However, be ready to flex. We were originally scheduled for Tuesday at 10 but I got a call right as we were leaving to reschedule because of 50 mph winds. 😬 We ended up moving it to the next day at 8am and then later that day, it got moved to 7:30am. There’s a reason for that. Scott and his team wanted to make sure that we got the best waves near low tide. And we did. Scott instructed me and my 3 boys, one of which is a 270 lb lineman. Only my two younger ones had surfed before but Scott had us up after the first two or three waves. And he knew exactly where to be. We had barely paddled back out there to him before we were back on the board surfing again while others were just laying on their boards. Scott had us cycling over and over and over again. We were probably up on our board around 15 times in the hour and a half we were out there. We literally stopped because we were so tired. And Scott has the right boards for big guys like me and my son. If you’re 215 and above, you need to book with them. Final note: make sure you have a rash guard and not a swim shirt. He may have had some available for us, but we did not realize there was a difference between a swim shirt and a rash guard. My kids got lit up. We had a great experience and it was good to go with a guy that’s been around for 2 decades. He knows the waves here.

This is an excellent way to learn to surf! Since I was completely new to surfing I was a bit intimidated at first but my instructor did a fantastic job introducing me to the method on the beach before practicing it on the waves. I crashed the first few times but I quickly improved with my instructor’s guidance and by the end of the lesson I learned to surf! And it’s really fun!! I recommend this to anyone who has an interest in surfing the waves and never had done so before!

My daughter has wanted to take a surf lesson for ages and we finally did it. The paddling is hard work, the ocean is salty and you’ll fall a lot, but once you catch a wave, you’ll realize it’s worth it. The instructor was helpful, super encouraging and kind. There is a photo package available to view before buying. Compared to other photos for sale, I felt like the pictures were much cooler. If you are looking for an active beach activity, I definitely recommend stoke-drift.

Nick & his team were awesome!!! So kind, experienced and provided a truly unforgettable experience for our daughters. Plus having his photographer Christin capture every moment of the fun, added to the experience and gave us forever memories to bring home. So highly recommend!

This was an awesome experience! Definitely one of the highlights of our whole trip! Mario was a great teacher, and super encouraging! He got everyone up on multiple waves and this was only the first time ever trying. We had 3 kids in the lesson- 15, 12 & 8. The two older kids did great, the youngest was probably a bit too young, but she rode on the front of Mario's board and he caught several waves with her standing up front. She absolutely loved it!

These surf lessons were top notch. My 18 and 17 year olds loved their experience, from the on land instructions, to the in the water experience all details were A+. The photos were amazing also and I’m forever thankful to have them as a keep sake. I highly recommend!

Austin was awesome, really helped us figure out the right positions to use on the board and how to get started. He coached us through it and by the end both my brother and I figured out how to smoothly stand on the board. The whole experience was super fun and the photos turned out great.

Family of 5 beginners worked with Steven, Devin and Tyler. Very knowledgeable and wonderful teachers! They were so patient and kind. Put us on some great waves and everyone in our group had the opportunity to get up and surf! I would highly recommend these guys.
