Wonderful Experience

This tour is amazing. Our guide was Christina, who gave lots of information about our destinations and was super helpful. Neuschwanstein is just magical. On the day we visited the weather was really bad and the clouds were coming down on the mountains, but this did not the trip one bit. One thing you must bear in mind is the tickets for entry are not included. These are sold on the coach. There was also a stop off at Lindenhoff palace. Tickets to go in are also extra. To be honest, we didn't bother. The gardens there are so amazing. Beware! The walk up and down to the castle are not easy. There is transport up the hill, but the transports either stop short, or go past the castle, leaving some walking to do. If you have any difficulties with mobility you need to consider if this is for you. The walking here is no joke!

This VIP tour is worth it! Cansel was our tour guide and she was great! I was a little grumbly because there was a lot of uphill walking and I have a bum leg, but she was very compassionate and understanding and not trying to judge or rush us. She was knowledgeable and funny. I loved the variety of snacks on the bus and all the drinks. The chairs were leather and huge! I was so comfortable and happy and this has been my favorite activity in Bavaria so far! If you want to see the castles and learn about Bavaria, this is the tour for you! Spend a little extra and get a lot of bonuses!

Enchanting Day

Be prepared to do lots of uphill and downhill walking, as well as hundreds of stairs. Views and experience make it worth the workout. Town is enchanting and much larger than I expected with lots of shops and restaurants. Take the time to walk to the lake and up to the smaller castle. Also, Must walk across Mary's Bridge -- some of the best views. A bit scary at first, but you'll be happy you did it. Definitely take the horse carriage ride when leaving the castle. Otherwise it's a long downhill walk. Well worth the 4-5 euros. Our tour guide Nic was excellent. He organized our day so we had sufficient time for sightseeing, exploring, shopping, eating, bathroom breaks, etc. Nic is very friendly and knowledgeable about the period surrounding King Ludwig's reign. This was our first experience with Radius Tours and Nic made it a great one.

We enjoyed this tour very much. Both Linderhof and Neuschwanstein Castle were beautiful inside and out. The detail in the art and design are incredible (in my opinion). The gardens at Linderhof were very nice as well. Our Tour Guide was very good and gave you lots of information. It was a fun day out. Be aware that there are a lot of steps that you have to navigate, but it is worth it.
