Gabriel was our tour...

Gabriel was our tour guide. There were 5 of us in the group and from the start made us all feel very welcomed and connected. We toured a nice variety of places and he shared information about the food and history of the area. He shared tips of other places to go, in the areas we were in. It was also to hear about his history, moving here and loving it from the start. That really came through when he was talking about the food and neighborhoods. Overall it was an easy walking tour and we would highly recommend it.

He was a wonderful teacher and we really enjoyed both his facts and his personal stories of growing up in Florence. Thank you to the tour company for finding this tour guide and accommodating our schedule and wishes after the original tour guide cancelled for a last minute emergency. The Florence Sunset Food & Wine tour by Eating Europe was awesome. We were lucky to have a very small group (just the three of us and one solo traveler) and great weather. Giovanni was a terrific guide. Took a nice pace and presented lots of interesting information about Tuscany, Florence and the food and wine we were consuming. And the food and wine were remarkable! I couldn’t really choose my favorite. I would definitely recommend this tour and guide to others, and would consider using Eating Europe for food tours in other cities.

We only had a day to spend in Florence--we did the Duomo on our own, then had a great walk through the squares, over the Arno, back across the Ponte Vecchio and ending with David at the Accademie. We had a delightful experience on this your with Giovanni as our guide.. Each stop featured a nice portion of a typical Florentine food (Vin Santo, ragu, biscotti, etc), all of which were delicious. Giovanni was informative and very entertaining as we strolled and chatted. The stop in the Central Market stall featured truffles, which we loved. Highly recommended.

Very informative tour.

Lovely two hour tour with delightful tour guide. The tour was with an English speaking guide. Lots of history of the buildings in Florence and the people who built them. The tour guide very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. Two hours slipped by. The cost of the tour was £5, but you reward the Tour Guide separately at the end of the tour based on what you feel is appropriate. We gave 20 euros (two of us). Well worth the money. The Tour Guide also offered a "Darker Side of Florence" tour which we would have booked with her but we had to return home.

The tour is divided into two separate tours. We first did the David tour and it was exceptional. Truly, David is captivating. Our guide was well informed on his history. We then had approximately 45 minutes between the two tours to walk down to the Uffizi for the second tour. Our guide was also the guide for that tour. He was very knowledgeable, passionate, and dynamic throughout the tour.

Excellent tour, would highly recommend. Had a private tour around the highlights of Florence as only myself & my mother were booked onto the tour. Our guide Eleonora was great, made the tour a pleasure to be on. She was very knowledgeable about everything she showed us & was happy to answer questions or give us more time to look at things if we wanted. A one-of-a-kind day in Florence

Martina emailed me ahead of time and we planned how to spend the six hour private tour. I think that was the key to the success of the day. We visited her side of Florence, enjoyed the outdoor markets, gardens and specialty stores for art. We went to an amazing place for lunch and later, stopped a wine bar. All this afforded Martina time to share her city with me. I felt like I was not a tourist but visiting with a friend. I have been to Florence before and done all the major sites. This was a unique day that I will never forget.
