The staff is super friendly and helpful! The beach and water is beautiful. The drinks and service were top tier. There’s nothing more relaxing than a massage on the beach! The snorkeling was great! 10/10 would recommend and go again!
Everything was perfect except the merchants bothering you to buy souvenirs etc. but they leave you alone if you are in or by the water.

Great all around experience. Everything was perfect the snorkeling the massage the booze the food and all of the service.
It was the perfect day thanks to Pitaya! We walked into the cutest beachy hut, and it was super easy to check in, the staff was freiendlt and fast with everything. There was nice and clean chairs right in-front of the beach, the water was crystal clear. Snorkeling was a great experience and felt super safe, we even saw a sea turtle! Massage was great, right next to the chairs, and you just let them know when you are ready. Food and drinks were delicious and super fast with servuce! Will be doing Pitaya again for sure!
The staff was wonderful The massages were great. The food was very good and the drinks were fresh. The snorkeling crew was great and took us to a good reef to see some fish..
Location of the site was nice on the beach no fault of theirs, but too many pets coming along to sell their goods and interrupting you to buy things but that’s to be expected on the Mexican coast
It was very simple to navigate through the port to find the taxi’s. Once you arrive, they walk you right to your private spot! Massage was amazing and the spot provided shade as well as sun. Absolutely loved! Worth every penny
It was such a good time. All the things we got included was so worth it !!! The bar attendants and the owners were so nice !!
Be prepared for non stop constant harassment by local vendors. It didn't matter if you were asleep even. They wake you up. The drinks were average at best. Snorkeling was good and massage was good. The rest... stay away

Regarding the local vendors, we’d like to clarify that they are independent beach vendors operating in the federal beach zone, which is public and outside our control. We understand they can sometimes be persistent, and we’re sorry if this affected your experience.

Very easy to get there by taxi from the cruise ship port. The beach spot is very nice and the massages were great! Family owned and very friendly. Nice relaxing day overall
From the moment we walked in we knew we picked the best spot! No other places had service or chairs or the service that we experienced! We had other couples and family coming from other spots that they were disappointed in to find the one we pick to be perfect! Bathroom was well lit and VERY CLEAN! Family owned business that truly felt like we were at home with our own family! DO NOT BOIK ANYONE ELSE! This is a must experience!

Amazing time at this beach club! Was easy to get a taxi, only $5 per person which Gio will get you about the day before you arrive! We were provided amazing service and an amazing experience snorkeling from our Guide Jesus who made should we were good in the water and let us go see really amazing things like tropical fish, coral formations, and even a turtle! We ate tacos with fajitas which I thought were delicious! Also we were provided a very good list of open bar drinks that we were allowed, I had a great Pina Coloda and my parter had a good bit of beers! And the massage was perfect, very relaxing and the girls made sure to get very part of you, my advice is just take in the local sounds of Mexico and enjoy your vacation! Gio and the other woman were so friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. I would wholeheartedly book this experience again! I’m so glad I went out of my comfort zone and booked an excursion without the cruise line because it ended up being one of the best ones and not stressful at all!
We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the whole experience- we got to snorkel (bring your own if you have them) and the food and drinks were great. We all enjoyed our massages and the view. Seaweed was kept to a minimum and we didn’t smell it at all.
Booked this excursion in Costa Maya when we landed in port via our Royal Caribbean cruise. Our party of 7 (all adults 18 and older) arrived via a cab we found once we left the Costa Maya port area (we ended up paying $10 per person round trip). Although not the fault of this vendor, getting out the port area of Costa Maya was confusing due to lack of signage to the exit/cab area. Just tell the cab driver you have a reservation for - Pitaya Beach and provide the name of the place on the reservation and they will drop you off right next to it. It was about a 15 min cab ride there). Anyway, once we arrived we met the owner who was behind the bar. We signed our waivers, got our VIP wristbands and were escorted by the friendly and attentive worker to the beach area a few steps away where there were beach/lounge chairs and two young ladies available to do your 50 minute massages (which were HEAVENLY and better than what I got back in the states...make sure to tip them - we gave each about $5-10 per person). Our party then waited for the captain and his mate to take us out on a small boat to do snorkeling. The water was murky and choppy at the time (due to a unbeknownst storm that was scheduled to arrive 12 hours later). We saw only a few fish, but we did get to see a sea turtle that swam right beneath us a few times, which was cool). After the 60 min snorkeling, we returned to the beach where we got to eat chicken tacos and french fries and unlimited (watered down) alcoholic drinks. There were many vendors walking on the beach selling things. Some were kind of pushy, but if you said no, they would leave. I was able to get a few beautiful souvenirs and negotiated the prices down. However, right behind the beach area is a walking path where additional vendors are selling things as well. Because my husband was nervous about missing the ship, he was the designated time keeper. We tipped our waiter, took a cab back, and was able to make it back on the ship in plenty of time.
Great snorkeling! Even saw a sea turtle! The guide, jesús was amazing! And so was the captain Jared! Food was 10/10. Def worth it. Massage was on point also!!!
Loved snorkeling! We saw 2 sea turtles! They had great chairs to relax in and the food and drinks were great. You cannot beat this price. Try the coconut smoothies!!!

It is kinda hard to navigate to get to this location but well worth it. Once we arrived at the correct location the staff did a amazing job of making sure we were taking care of. The massage was amazing and not rushed, I felt so much better afterwards. We were on a time schedule so we were unable to stay the entire time, the staff called the boat back so we would be able to enjoy the snorkeling. The water was perfect, the fish were plentiful, even seen a stingray. The guide was great and showed us so much marine life, and made sure we all stayed safe the entire time while taking photos. We did not receive the photos of the snorkeling trip, not sure why but thats small things. The view was beautiful, the beach was great, the staff was wonderful. All I all it was a 5 out of 5 hands down, highly recommend this company for any trip in this area.
I cannot say enough good stuff about this excursion. We were looking for something relaxing and we sure found it! It's a little tricky to find the place. Best advice I can give is to to get a taxi from the cruise port and to ask them to take you to Pitaya Beach. When they drop you off, enter the beach area and turn left and walk down just a short distance and "Pitaya" restaurant will be on your left hand side. This is where you "check in". They have their own private section on the beach with loungers that are either in the sun or the shade. The 50 minute massage was really good. Even my husband is who is looking for a near bone density scan out of a massage said it was good! lol. Eugenia at the restaurant could not have been kinder and more friendly. She even obliged our request to have El Pastor tacos vs the chicken fajita tacos they serve as lunch. They were really good. The beach was so relaxing and the water was really nice. You can go about quite a ways and still be standing. The section is all netted off, so for someone who is a little afraid of the water, I felt more comfortable. We will absolutely do this one again and honestly, for a massage, lunch, drinks, lounging right on the beach and plenty of little shops along the boardwalk, the price was great! 10 out of 10 would recommend if you are looking to relax while in Costa Maya!
The whole experience was amazing. The hosts were super accommodating working with my Spanglish and still providing such a pleasant time. Everything was explained in detail and matched the itinerary. The host and hostess made sure we were setup and comfortable, gave us time, and then coordinated the snorkeling experience. I have never been until this excursion and I had a great time. Balthazar and Ernesto explained everything and Ernesto pointed out so many different fish and sea animals. Getting back, the massage was amazing, and the waiter did a phenomenal job catering to us. He made sure we constantly had drinks and deconflcited times to ensure we maximized the time we had. This entire experience was well worth the price and the entire team of people were so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be coming back to Pitaya Beach Club the next time I come to Costa Maya!
Ignore all the other beach sales guys when u already have a reservation. Taxi ride great at 5 dollars person. Keep walking boardwalk until you see your destination. Included massage was awesome.

The absolute worst experience ever. And I love Costa Maya, and some of the other private excursions/beaches. But this one was terrible. Please, do not book this excursion.
Our time with this experience was great! The best was snorkeling with a sea turtle just inches from my face! The sea was very rough, though, and the tour guide should not have trusted us when we said we were good swimmers. Some of the swimmers had to get back in the boat, and others asked for their flotation device. Still, it was well worth it!
The hosts were very friendly and very prompt with helping. The drinks and food were wonderful!
The Beach lounge chairs were very nice. We could have done without the folks trying to sell their wears, however. We were interrupted at least three or four times per hour.
The massage was good, though I’m not sure of their training or experience. Still it was a lovely massage next to the sea and under the open air. The locals give massages for $20 an hour. Based on the cost of the massage, meals for under 20 bucks each, and such, the price may have been a bit steep. However, the ease of not having to find those things on our own, and the friendliness of the hosts made it well worth it!
The driver seemed to know where to drop us off, but he was not right. We had to ask and then walk a couple blocks to find the restaurant. We had the misconception that we should look for a resort, and it’s not. It’s basically a very small restaurant, maybe six tables, and the seating about 30 chase lounges toward the water. Some of the lounges were under a tarp, which made nice shade.
Again, a wonderful day spent with wonderful hosts.
The massage was the best! I loved the covered beach chair very comfortable! Snorkeling guides were very patient with my inexperience!
However the drinks were watered down but service was very courteous. I would do it again!
No fault of their own but our ship got in late so we didn't have much time at the beach before it closed. The massage was nice but would have been better had it been private and not out in the open. Drinks were limited but good. Wasn't real impressed with the food.

This was an awesome experience! So much was included and the staff was very friendly. Getting there was a bit challenging but once we found were the taxis are waiting outside the port, it was just a quick ride to Pirate Beach Club. Taxi is $5 per person. The beach is beautiful. Located on a little road with many vendors selling souvenirs, t shirts, knock offs, and many other treasures. They offer hair braiding and other services right on their beach too. Lunch was delicious and the snorkeling adventure was a fun adventure! Great massage, deep tissue, clean and relaxing. This was our 5th time to Coasta Maya and up until now, we didn’t realize this beach existed. Best trip yet!
