We visit the pyramids of Giza for the 1st time and it was an outstanding experience. We had sharp pickup at our hotel, luxury car ride and our 1:1 tour guide, Mariam, who was extremely knowledgeable, caring and friendly. Our visit was without rush, no one disturb us and had the most memorable time

We had an absolutely fantastic experience visiting the Pyramids of Giza, the Sphinx and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The tour was very well organised, informative and enjoyable from beginning to end. A special thank-you to our wonderful tour guide, Halawani, who truly made the experience memorable. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, patient and professional. His passion for Egyptian history was clear, and he brought the stories and history of the ancient Egyptians to life in such an interesting and engaging way. Halawani was also very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He gave us plenty of time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the incredible sights without ever feeling rushed. He was always happy to answer our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The Pyramids and Sphinx were breathtaking, and the Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive. Having such an excellent guide like Halawani made these incredible places even more special. Thank you so much, Halawani, for your kindness, knowledge and for making our day so enjoyable and unforgettable. Literally the best tour I’ve ever been on, and it’s all because of our guide. First, we were picked up at the front door of our hotel, right on time. A large water was given to each of us and then we were off in a nice air conditioned car. Once we got to our first stop, the Pyramids and the Sphinx, our guide started giving us some history right away on everything and answered any questions we had. From there, and til the end of the day, he was always asking us right at the best moments if we wanted him to take pictures along with making some fun suggestions here and there. He took us to all the best photo spots too to beat the crowds. Then, we wanted to add on a camel ride, so he knew exactly who to take us to for an incredible experience. After that, as another add on, he offered to take us to some places for souvenirs. We needed a few more gifts, so we accepted the offer. The places are more high end that he took us, but if you’re coming all this way, you’d rather have the real stuff. We did end up crossing some items off our list, so it was worth it. After that, we had lunch, that was ready within minutes of arriving to the restaurant, so good timing there. Last stop was the Grand Museum, where we quickly got through and inside. We were kind of tired by now, so we asked for the highlights tour, but we could have stayed for hours had we wanted to and our guide would have gladly stayed with us. The whole time he made sure to give us history and insights on everything we saw. Then the trip ended right back at the front door of our hotel as planned. What made the trip most enjoyable was that as we were traveling with two small children, our guide kept them at any point where he thought it would be better for my wife and I to go off and see things ourselves without us even asking. My son made a new best friend that day! We will always remember this trip and if you do this tour, you have to ask for Hossam. He’s the absolute best!

We managed to see a lot of things in 4 hours on our tour of Old Cairo, the Citadel and the souk. Our guide, Ahmed, explained the historical significance of the places we visited thoroughly and added lots of interesting anecdotes! A great way of learning about Cairo's history!

Great experience with Ahmed exploring the old city and heart and culture of Cairo. They even picked me up from GEM which saved me a lot of time. From the feluca ride at sunset to the shawarma at the end was wonderful. Ahmed was very knowledgeable about his city. Also other members of the group were very nice.

We were only in Egypt for two days! So we had a lot of eggs in one basket hoping for lifetime memories of Egypt, Cairo, Giza and the pyramids! It was a lot to ask but this tour really delivered, principally because of our tour guide Ibrahim and the friendliest driver in the world, Sameer. Ibrahim was incredible, his English was impeccable and he spoke eloquently about Egyptian history, politics, traditions and the idiosyncrasies of Cairo culture. He was funny, engaging, patient and great with our two girls. More than all of this he gave us an incredibly passionate and informed reading of the history of the pyramids - he seemed particularly well informed having studied Egyptology in Oxford. Ibrahim anchored the mysteries of the Pharaohs and their tombs in historical terms and painted in rich technicolour the awesome achievements and vision of the ancient Egyptians. Seriously he was brilliant. In addition to bringing us to a much clearer understanding of ancient Egypt - he was sensitive to our need as a young family to have some moments to ourselves to be daft and have fun and he took some great pictures. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Our driver who spoke little English was smiling and generous and drove considerately. The lunch was delicious with a front seat view of the pyramids. The camel ride was a blast too! We had a fantastic day and came away from Egypt with lasting memories of our brief moment in the mind-bending history of the Pyramids. P.S. We went in May which seems to be a good time - it was really quiet and manageable heat.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hussam from GEM Explore Egypt tour company was an absolutely outstanding tour guide and made our day unforgettable. He took my sisters and me to Saqqara and Memphis, where we saw the incredible Step, Bent, and Red Pyramids, along with the Sphinx in Memphis. His knowledge was impressive—he explained everything in a way that was both informative and genuinely engaging—and his sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time. What really stood out was how much he cared about our experience. Hussam made sure we were comfortable, having fun, and getting the most out of every stop. He also took amazing photos of us, capturing moments we’ll truly treasure for a lifetime. We chose to visit these pyramids before seeing the Great Pyramid, and it was the perfect decision—far less crowded and much easier to explore, which made the experience even more special. He also brought us to a restaurant with beautiful views of the pyramids, and the lunch was delicious. I also want to highlight our driver, who was extremely professional and a very safe, skilled driver. His car was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made traveling between sites smooth and relaxing.
