Get this tour, thank me later! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
With Lobna, you'll have the best time of your life. This is also the ONLY tour that takes you to the only tomb in the area with wall paintings and hieroglyph writings. Our guide Lobna was wonderful, she accomodated for our needs and made it a comfortable and magical experience. We learned, we laughed a lot, we had so much fun. She even took us to the city to get perfumes, authentic papyrus and silver cartouches with our names in hieroglyph. Best day ever!!! Thank you a million times for the unforgettable day 🥰

This was an overall...
This was an overall excellent tour experience. Our tour guide Ola, a professional, kind and immensely experienced guide went into great detail about all the religious sites and showcased impressive knowledge for both the history and culture. She was also amazing at taking us to local places that had fair prices, while always confirming with us first about any stops for shopping. We were treated with respect and kindness both by her and our driver. Could not recommend enough.

Great trip to Memphis and Saqqara — no formal guide, just a driver, but he was genuinely helpful throughout!
Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt, was fascinating to see — the statue of Ramses II and the alabaster sphinx were definite highlights. The site is small but full of history, and even without a guide it was easy to appreciate on our own.
Saqqara was even more impressive than expected — the Step Pyramid of Djoser, one of the earliest stone structures in the world, was incredible to see up close. Much less crowded than Giza, so we could explore at our own pace without feeling rushed.
Highlights:
- Our driver was friendly and helpful — pointed things out, gave useful context, and made sure we didn't miss anything important
- A relaxed, flexible pace since we weren't tied to a group or fixed guide schedule
- The chance to go down into some of the tombs and see hieroglyphs and wall paintings up close
The only downside was the midday heat — bring water and a hat. Overall, a smooth and well-organized day, even without an official guide. The driver's help made a real difference, and I'd definitely recommend this option for travelers who prefer a more independent experience.

The Best Way to Experience the GEM: Family Warmth and Backstage History with Mo
We had an incredible experience exploring Egypt with Mo, and we cannot recommend him highly enough! From the very beginning, when he picked us up at the airport, his warm welcome, genuine kindness, and friendly demeanor made us feel instantly at ease.
Our time at the Grand Egyptian Museum with him was an absolute highlight. Mo brings a truly rare, insider perspective to Egypt’s history: his mother worked as an archaeologist right near the storage facility where King Tut’s priceless treasures were housed before being moved to the GEM. Growing up surrounded by these artifacts and hearing firsthand stories from the field gave Mo a deep, personal connection to the history he shares. His wealth of knowledge, combined with those unique childhood insights, brought every exhibit to life.
Beyond his expertise, Mo took the genuine time to get to know us and connect as a family over an authentic lunch with delicious local food. Being younger, he brought a fresh, engaging perspective that our daughter especially appreciated and resonated with. If you are looking for a guide who is not only a brilliant expert but also a wonderful person to spend time with, Mo is as good as it gets!

Best Egyptian tour guide!
Waleed was a very experienced travel guide. We felt very safe and very well informed. The entire day was fluid and painless. We would definitely recommend Waleed to anyone that would like a tour in Egypt! He not only speaks fluent Arabic and English, he also speaks Mandarin!

Great day exploring Giza and the pyramids.
This was a great excursion with our guide Mohammed. He was good at communication and very personable. He had a lot of knowledge about all the areas. Our driver was also excellent with a clean comfortable car. We loved the pyramids and the camel ride. It is incredibly hot inside the pyramid with nothing really to see. Be in hood condition if you go inside!

First Class Experience
Our guide Essam was the best tour guide I have had in my life. Patient, with expert knowledge, he packed information into small bites so that we could understand and remember what he taught. His enthusiasm for the subject was infectious.
Our driver, too, Ayman, was great ( and fun!), pointing out the best spots to take photos. Very careful driver. We felt very safe.

Great tour!
We managed to see a lot of things in 4 hours on our tour of Old Cairo, the Citadel and the souk. Our guide, Ahmed, explained the historical significance of the places we visited thoroughly and added lots of interesting anecdotes! A great way of learning about Cairo's history!

Best Guide in Giza: Amal’s Expertise Made This Tour
We booked the Half Day Tour of the Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx with a private guide for our family of two adults and one child, and it was one of the highlights of our Cairo stop. Our guide Amal was outstanding. She has an incredible depth of knowledge about the history of the pyramids, the Sphinx, and the surrounding necropolis, and she paced the tour well so we stayed engaged the whole time. Both Amal and our driver were remarkably patient with us, especially when we needed extra time and attention for our child..
The package included car transport, entry fees, and a camel ride, which made the morning seamless. We started early at 8:30 AM, which turned out to be a great call since it meant cooler temperatures and smaller crowds around the pyramids before the site got busy later in the day.
What stood out most was how personal the experience felt. If you’re visiting Giza and want a knowledgeable, unhurried, and well-organized private tour, I highly recommend this experience, and Amal in particular.

Ibrahim Exceeded All Expectations (and they were high!)
We were only in Egypt for two days! So we had a lot of eggs in one basket hoping for lifetime memories of Egypt, Cairo, Giza and the pyramids! It was a lot to ask but this tour really delivered, principally because of our tour guide Ibrahim and the friendliest driver in the world, Sameer. Ibrahim was incredible, his English was impeccable and he spoke eloquently about Egyptian history, politics, traditions and the idiosyncrasies of Cairo culture. He was funny, engaging, patient and great with our two girls. More than all of this he gave us an incredibly passionate and informed reading of the history of the pyramids - he seemed particularly well informed having studied Egyptology in Oxford. Ibrahim anchored the mysteries of the Pharaohs and their tombs in historical terms and painted in rich technicolour the awesome achievements and vision of the ancient Egyptians. Seriously he was brilliant. In addition to bringing us to a much clearer understanding of ancient Egypt - he was sensitive to our need as a young family to have some moments to ourselves to be daft and have fun and he took some great pictures. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Our driver who spoke little English was smiling and generous and drove considerately. The lunch was delicious with a front seat view of the pyramids. The camel ride was a blast too! We had a fantastic day and came away from Egypt with lasting memories of our brief moment in the mind-bending history of the Pyramids. P.S. We went in May which seems to be a good time - it was really quiet and manageable heat.

Saqqara and Memphis Adventure!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hussam from GEM Explore Egypt tour company was an absolutely outstanding tour guide and made our day unforgettable. He took my sisters and me to Saqqara and Memphis, where we saw the incredible Step, Bent, and Red Pyramids, along with the Sphinx in Memphis. His knowledge was impressive—he explained everything in a way that was both informative and genuinely engaging—and his sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time.
What really stood out was how much he cared about our experience. Hussam made sure we were comfortable, having fun, and getting the most out of every stop. He also took amazing photos of us, capturing moments we’ll truly treasure for a lifetime.
We chose to visit these pyramids before seeing the Great Pyramid, and it was the perfect decision—far less crowded and much easier to explore, which made the experience even more special. He also brought us to a restaurant with beautiful views of the pyramids, and the lunch was delicious.
I also want to highlight our driver, who was extremely professional and a very safe, skilled driver. His car was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made traveling between sites smooth and relaxing.
If you’re looking for a knowledgeable, attentive, and fun guide—with a great team behind him—Hussam and GEM Explore Egypt are the perfect choice. Highly recommend!

Great experience
Rasha was excellent. We would have been fairly lost going round the pyramids without a guide - it’s fairly chaotic - so very glad indeed we had her and the wonderful driver too. They respected our request for no shopping trips, and got us back to our hotel in good time for our evening flight. Thank you both, made the day smooth and enjoyable.
