An Unforgettable Giza Experience with an Exceptional Local Guide!

We had a fantastic private tour of the Giza Plateau with Abdo and he proved to be an exceptional guide. His knowledge of Egyptian history and the pyramids was outstanding, and he has a wonderful ability to explain the history in a way that is engaging, easy to follow, and genuinely fascinating. Seeing the pyramids and the Sphinx is incredible on its own, but having Abdo there to provide the history, context, and stories behind what we were seeing made the experience so much more meaningful. Abdo was also incredibly kind, patient, and professional throughout the day. He made sure we never felt rushed, answered all of our questions, and knew exactly how to navigate the Giza Plateau so we could make the most of our time. It felt much more like exploring Giza with a knowledgeable local friend than simply following a tour guide. One of the unexpected highlights came after visiting the pyramids when Abdo took us to a fantastic locals-only lunch spot that we never would have discovered on our own. The food was delicious, authentic, and a wonderful opportunity to experience a little bit of everyday Egyptian life away from the typical tourist restaurants. It was the perfect way to finish the experience. Abdo’s combination of deep knowledge, kindness, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm for sharing Egypt made our visit to Giza truly memorable. This was an overall excellent tour experience. Our tour guide Ola, a professional, kind and immensely experienced guide went into great detail about all the religious sites and showcased impressive knowledge for both the history and culture. She was also amazing at taking us to local places that had fair prices, while always confirming with us first about any stops for shopping. We were treated with respect and kindness both by her and our driver. Could not recommend enough.

Exceptional experience!

Exceptional experience! Tour guide, Mahmoud is one of the best I've come across and I do lots of tours. He had such a great energy and excellent storytelling, explaining the history with flare and bringing the stories to life. He connected the dots from place to place as we went from Saqqarah to Dashur to Memphis. He built trust, maintained engagement and personalized the tour as we stopped at shops for souvenirs and gifts. Between Mahmoud & driver Mohammed, I felt like I was hanging out with and learning from my brothers all day. Not a fan of this tour company but their guides are really good. The sites are remarkable and have been for millennia but it takes a great tour guide to make the experience meaningful. Thanks Mahmoud!

His passion for Egyptian history was clear, and he brought the stories and history of the ancient Egyptians to life in such an interesting and engaging way. Halawani was also very attentive and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. He gave us plenty of time to explore, take photographs and enjoy the incredible sights without ever feeling rushed. He was always happy to answer our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. Great day exploring Giza and the pyramids.

This was a great excursion with our guide Mohammed. He was good at communication and very personable. He had a lot of knowledge about all the areas. Our driver was also excellent with a clean comfortable car. We loved the pyramids and the camel ride. It is incredibly hot inside the pyramid with nothing really to see. Be in hood condition if you go inside!

First Class Experience

Our guide Essam was the best tour guide I have had in my life. Patient, with expert knowledge, he packed information into small bites so that we could understand and remember what he taught. His enthusiasm for the subject was infectious. Our driver, too, Ayman, was great ( and fun!), pointing out the best spots to take photos. Very careful driver. We felt very safe.

Amazing Grant Egyptian Museum Tour

We had a lovely tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum by our private guide Mohamed El Wazir. Communication the day before was perfect with a WhatsApp message with a photo of the vehicle picking us up the next morning. The tour was at a relaxed pace with us spending more or less time at each part of the museum as per our wishes, Mohamed was knowledgeable, well humoured and answered all our questions and made it an interactive experience just for us. The museum itself is amazing, Grand in scale and architecturally beautiful. The artefacts are everything you can imagine and more. Mohamed was very accommodating and patient with us taking a break for lunch and a coffee and visiting the gift shop. When the tour was finished, Mohamed asked us if there was anything we hadn’t got a chance to do in our first few days and we said we’d like to have a cartouche made with my wife’s name on. He took us somewhere where we were greeted by lovely warm people who were not pushy at all and made the perfect memento for my wife as well as giving her a complimentary buff of her engagement and wedding rings. It was the perfect way to end our visit to Egypt. Can’t recommend the tour or Mohamed highly enough. Fantastic experience for the family.

Ibrahim Exceeded All Expectations (and they were high!)

We were only in Egypt for two days! So we had a lot of eggs in one basket hoping for lifetime memories of Egypt, Cairo, Giza and the pyramids! It was a lot to ask but this tour really delivered, principally because of our tour guide Ibrahim and the friendliest driver in the world, Sameer. Ibrahim was incredible, his English was impeccable and he spoke eloquently about Egyptian history, politics, traditions and the idiosyncrasies of Cairo culture. He was funny, engaging, patient and great with our two girls. More than all of this he gave us an incredibly passionate and informed reading of the history of the pyramids - he seemed particularly well informed having studied Egyptology in Oxford. Ibrahim anchored the mysteries of the Pharaohs and their tombs in historical terms and painted in rich technicolour the awesome achievements and vision of the ancient Egyptians. Seriously he was brilliant. In addition to bringing us to a much clearer understanding of ancient Egypt - he was sensitive to our need as a young family to have some moments to ourselves to be daft and have fun and he took some great pictures. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Our driver who spoke little English was smiling and generous and drove considerately. The lunch was delicious with a front seat view of the pyramids. The camel ride was a blast too! We had a fantastic day and came away from Egypt with lasting memories of our brief moment in the mind-bending history of the Pyramids. P.S. We went in May which seems to be a good time - it was really quiet and manageable heat.

He took my sisters and me to Saqqara and Memphis, where we saw the incredible Step, Bent, and Red Pyramids, along with the Sphinx in Memphis. His knowledge was impressive—he explained everything in a way that was both informative and genuinely engaging—and his sense of humor kept us laughing the entire time. What really stood out was how much he cared about our experience. Hussam made sure we were comfortable, having fun, and getting the most out of every stop. He also took amazing photos of us, capturing moments we’ll truly treasure for a lifetime. We chose to visit these pyramids before seeing the Great Pyramid, and it was the perfect decision—far less crowded and much easier to explore, which made the experience even more special. He also brought us to a restaurant with beautiful views of the pyramids, and the lunch was delicious. Great experience

Rasha was excellent. We would have been fairly lost going round the pyramids without a guide - it’s fairly chaotic - so very glad indeed we had her and the wonderful driver too. They respected our request for no shopping trips, and got us back to our hotel in good time for our evening flight. Thank you both, made the day smooth and enjoyable.
