A Sketch of the Pyramids

My first encounter with the Pyramids of Giza… an extraordinary new spot for my sketchbook! Makmur, the driver, was right on time to pick me up from my hotel, while Abdullah, our licensed Egyptologist guide, joined us along the way and shared fascinating stories and his own perspectives on the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. The camel ride was such a fun experience, made even more special by the sight of birds dancing in ever-changing formations across the clear blue sky. Lunch at a local restaurant was another treat, where I got to try Egypt’s beloved Koshari. But the real highlight was the beautiful golden sunlight falling across the ancient Pyramids. Such a lovely day filled with history, little discoveries and unexpected moments of magic…

Fun day at GEM

Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), is a fascinating and overwhelming place. Our tour guide, Abdul, an Egyptologist, navigated us thru the many interesting exhibits while giving us an ingoing narrative of the meanings and histories of each. Abdul made sure we saw the most interesting exhibits, Tuts mask, the boats. Afterward Abdul took us to an enchanting local restaurant for a relaxing lunch. Also kudos to our wonderful driver Mohammed, who got us safely and timely to our destinations. Overall a very fun and adventurous day and a great look at Egypt’s rich heritage and history.

From the start it was...

From the start it was easy to communicate with our tour guide Mahmoud. Him and the driver arrived on time for pick up. It was our family of 5. Mahmoud made getting our entrance tickets easy. Then he took us to a separate man who had some camels for a short but memorable ride. Mahmoud then walked us around the site, helped take photos of the group, and gave us all the information! He is very knowledgeable in what he does! Our group felt safe with the driver and while walking around with Mahmoud. Would absolutely recommend this tour.

Absolutely Amazing

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING TOUR!! This blew our minds and souls. Our guide Essam and our driver Essam were real angels making all our wishes come true. Very appreciated the private version, I recommend. All sights and landscapes are breathtaking. I recommend also the Jeep tour in the dunes (extra) which is very folkloric and the magic lake vision is an awaken dream!!! The 2 Essam (guide+driver) even set up a surprise present for our daughter’s birthday; they went surprisingly buy a big birthday cake with her name on it for after the lunch. I almost cried. Such emotions, sympathy and pure generosity. All worth the price, perfect choice. Melanie, Switzerland.

Amina exceeded our expectations!!! A great full day tour!!

We did a private full day tour, and Amina was great! VERY knowledgeable about Giza, pyramids and other sites we visited (Memphis, etc). She offered other options along the way without being pushy, and let us determine the pace of the day. She happily took some really interesting pictures of us during the tour, and was really personable and engaging. Really loved her energy and experience. Included buffet lunch was great. To top it off, our driver Ebrahim was safe, efficient and had great English. Strongly recommend this tour and Amina!!’

An amazing experience...

An amazing experience visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx! Our tour guide, Duaa, was absolutely brilliant. She was so knowledgeable and explained everything really well, making the whole experience even more interesting and memorable. She took such great care of us throughout the trip and made sure we were comfortable and well looked after at all times. She was so kind, attentive and genuinely made the day special. The restaurant she took us to was also fantastic, with delicious food! I couldn’t recommend Duaa enough if you’re looking for a knowledgeable guide who really goes above and beyond for her guests. A brilliant day from start to finish — definitely a 5-star experience!

Wow!!!

A great experience. Ibrahim Allam was our guide and he was amazing, so knowledgeable, articulate and funny. Would give 6 stars if possible. The driver, Faisal, made sure we were comfortable and we felt very safe, even in Cairo traffic. We highly recommend this tour and these fine gentlemen.

It really was an exceptional day - worth every penny!

What a wonderful day. Nevin our guide was fantastic and gave us a day which was exceptional. She picked us up on time, avoided all but the odd crowd and ensured we got some amazing pictures across the day. She seemed to know everyone who works across the sites and meant we were able to view or access areas with ease. We wanted to go inside the pyramid which took around half an hour to do and Nevin helped us purchase these extra tickets. It was quite challenging and gets very hot but well worth the experience. Having gone around the sites at Giza we went to the new museum and we were shown around here by Nevin also. At Giza we used the free shuttle bus to move between the sites. Along the way we stopped at a fragrance / perfume shop which wasn’t pushy and we enjoyed some Arabic coffee there too. We saw how papyrus was made, were able again to buy souvenirs without the push and got some nice things. We ate a falafel wrap on the go which was delicious and then helped ourselves to both water and fresh mini mangos, fresh dates and water that were in the car. We started the day with a pickup at 08:30 and got back to the hotel around 18:00. It really was one of those days I will look back on with very fond memories. Thank you so much Nevin for such a wonderful day.

A must do if you are coming to Cairo!

This was a great experience. Saqqara is not a popular name, and I think most tourists miss it and go to Giza. We were Two and had a car and a guide for us. Speaking of which, our guide Entesar was amazing: she shared stories not only about the places we visited, but about the region, history, etc. It's summer so it was a bit hot, but the tour provided a bottle of water (we had already one) and Entesar got us some dates cookies! Getting in thenr de pyramid was quite the experience, and my legs are hurting a day after. So ensure you have comfortable shoes and are ok going though narrow spaces... 100% recommended.
