Fun night out with good entertainment and a tasty meal. There were a mix of singers, musicians and dancers. We were picked up and dropped off from our hotel in a clean taxi. It was a reasonably safe journey too considering the crazy traffic in Cairo. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgable about the local area and night time cruise.

Itinerary

Begin with pickup at your Cairo hotel, then travel to a Garden City dock to meet the riverboat. Leave the shore behind as your captain steers the boat into the Nile’s current.

Listen to Arabic melodies as belly dancers perform a pre-dinner show, then fill your plate from an unlimited, open buffet. Choose from hot and cold menu items that include rice, pasta, chicken, fish, beef, and salads, then choose sweet treats from a spread of desserts and fresh fruit.

Tanoura dancers, or dervishes, perform the second show of the evening, spinning continuously on stage to traditional Sufi music, an important part of the Egyptian religious tradition. After the show, climb onto the top deck of the ship for an open-air view of the passing shoreline, and enjoy a unique perspective on the bustling capital city. At the end of the cruise, return to shore for the trip back to your hotel, where this tour concludes.

Sad and disappointing experience

I’m gonna try to be fair, on the good side the staff were super friendly and the food was good, now I’m gonna be honest, this is by far one of the most disappointing experiences I ever had! We reserved the 6:30pm tour, they picked us up at 7:15pm and the dinner basically started at 8pm, it was a 2h Nile cruise… the boat didn’t move at all, so we just had a dinner on a floating restaurant, no explanation, no nothing. The show was ok and by 9:45pm we were on our way back to our hotel. It was awful and I would recommend to look for different options just in case.

Transfer included but rode very long: almost two hours on the minibus in order to collect also other participants. Fairly nice boat, good and plenty food. Beverages extra but not so expansive. Belly dancer decent, not great but the Tanoura has been fascinating. All in all great deal for the price. Transfer back to the hotel much faster.

We had a very enjoyable experience on this Nile dinner cruise. The boat was well organised, the views of Cairo at night were beautiful, and the atmosphere was vibrant and lively rather than classic or quiet. There was good energy onboard, music and entertainment, and it felt like a fun evening experience on the Nile. One important point for future travellers: the booking description mentioned a formal dress code and stated that joggers and jeans were not allowed. I’m really glad I checked directly with the operator beforehand, because they confirmed that there is no strict dress code and guests can dress comfortably. Most people onboard were dressed casually, and had we followed the booking description strictly, we would have felt quite out of place or unnecessarily stressed. My advice is to confirm the dress code directly and not worry about formal wear. Overall, a very good experience with great views and a lively vibe. Recommended — just be aware of the dress code clarification before you go.

Disappointing Nile Cruise Experience Despite a Great Driver

Not the best experience overall. The food was okay, but the service was extremely disappointing. As an Arab, I felt very disrespected by the staff. No one approached our table to ask what we needed or to take our order, while waiters were literally standing in front of foreigners’ and ladies’ tables giving them full attention. I had to ask more than three times just to get water. The belly dancer also tried to force a photo with our family even though we clearly didn’t want it. Later they tried to charge us for the photo, claiming we asked for it, which we absolutely did not. The only positive part of the experience was the driver—very humble and polite. We even forgot our phone with him, and he returned it immediately. Overall, the cruise experience was very bad and I wouldn’t recommend it..

The location system was confusing since we couldn’t enter our real address, but once we were picked up everything was perfect. The bus was very comfortable, our guide Ahmed Ali spoke perfect Spanish, and the food was absolutely amazing: chicken, beef, fish, rice, veggie and desserts! Drinks were extra but not (200egp). The boat wasn’t crowded, so we enjoyed the views and shows. The belly dancer wasn’t great, but we still had an amazing time. Totally worth it and highly recommended!

The pickup was very poorly arranged. The guide was a young man or instead a boy. They were going around the same place. I had to walk around the place with the guide and another group was waiting right opposite my road and they were going around the same place. The driving was very rash in trying to make up for the lost time. By the time we were on the cruise the shows had started. The food was also almost over and whatever was left was cold.

Our family had an absolutely magical evening on the Nile River dinner cruise in Egypt! The ambiance was perfect, with stunning views of Cairo lit up at night, and the entertainment, including the belly dancer and Sufi whirling dervish, captivated us all.
