This was sold as a 9 hour (approx..) tour. We were picked up at 8am but Mohammed who started off my reprimanding us as he’d been waiting for us since 7.30am. The agreed pick up time was 8am. We then had a rushed tour of the pyramids at Giza & had left the sight by 9.15am despite the listing saying we would have 3 hours there. Mohammed told us very few facts about the site & seemed only interested in taking a photograph of us at each place & moving swiftly on.
When we arrived at Saqqara we were taken to the Pyramid of Unas but not to either of Pyramid of Teti or Mastaba of Ti. Again, we were told very few facts about the site & the ‘guide’ was just interested in taking a few photos of us & then moving swiftly on. We had finished at this site by 11am & Mohammed pointed out the Bent & Red pyramids at Dahshur which could be seen in the distance. He said we could visit if we wanted to but didn’t have to. I’m not sure what else he thought we were going to do as there was only Dahshur & Memphis left on the itinerary. We said we wanted to go & again he told us very few facts about either of these pyramids & just wanted to take a photograph of us & then move on. We refused & walked on our own to both pyramids while both the guide & driver waited at the car.
We then went to Memphis & at this point Mohammed didn’t even bother to tell us any facts or offer to take photographs. He just waited at the entrance for us. At this point it was only midday so we took our time walking around but were still finished just after 1pm. We were then taken back to our hotel & dropped off shortly after 2pm. So, a 6-hour excursion not 9 hours accompanied by a driver & a driver’s companion who can speak English & just wants to take photographs & get you back to your hotel as soon as possible. What a waste of a day. If I could I’d give this tour 0 stars.

I am happy that I booked the whole day tour for all pyramids and not only Giza! Each of them gives you a different view of ancient times.
I asked to start at 7:30 instead of 8 am, so we çan avoid big groups. They kindly accepted it.
Mahmoud was my guid and Sultan the driver, super nice people.
Mahmoud, in some sites, was changing the order of visit, to avoid mass groups, so that he can explain in quiet. I found it very pragmatic.
In Saqqara there were some works going on and he reminded me a few times to mind my steps by adding safety 1st !! a very important mindset for a guide !
They didn't force me to go to shops, despite of my experience with some other tours in other countries
And even I asked them where I can by egyption Lenin and they happily took me there
For historical explanations; I am a nerdy person and I could have absorbed even more.
This tour is an absolute must while visiting Cairo. My tour guide Khadija was extremely professional and knowledgeable. She made my day full of laughs. You will not be disappointed.
We were so lucky to have the best tour guide EVER! We learned so much on this experience, got amazing photos, and had a delicious lunch. We loved to see all of the pyramids but Sakkara was by far the most beautiful and had as aw struck! If you book this tour, you are in for a treat!!
I would like to report a deceitful guide - a 62 yrs old guide called Assam. He took me to this day trip to Giza which I booked through Viator app. On the way he promoted to me Al Fayoum day tour that he can take me to and the cost was 150 USD. He told me that he can arrange it so I do not need to book it from Viator. I trusted him and this was a mistake. The Fayoum day trip happened and I paid him the 150 USD in cash. It was horrible, he did not offer me any lunch instead brought me fruits and water, did not rent 4x4 vehicle for the dessert part ( we went with the normal car and took us forever to get to the Valley of Whales) and he did not show me the Tunis Village in Fayoum. I feel very disappointed with Emo Travels company and the guides that are working in it.
It was so amazing! The guide Mizo was so knowledgeble about everything and super funny as well. (Took great pictures also!) You could tell he loves what his doing and the driver Mustafa was great! We could customize the trip as we wanted with extra stops in super cool places. And everything went super smooth. It exeeded our expetations!
The tourist guide was excellent. Easy and simple explanation. High recommend for futures tours. Her name is Rio, also the driver was excellent too.
The Sphinx by far was the most outstanding . I didn't realize it was so long. The pyramids were awesome, too. The guide was good, didn't drown you in too much hidtory.

Our tour guide Bibo was amazing respectful and knowledgeable he explained everything in detail. We had enough time, dld not rush. Also the taxi driver was kind and the car clean. I suggest Emo Tour to everybody.
the most important reason to rate this tour 2 stars is the guide of the tour, Marwan. He was a nice guy, but when it comes to give information about the places, he failed. We saw other guides at same places walking and talking together with their groups and always giving historical information about the places. but marwan told us in the car which place we were heading at that time. when we reached the historical site, he said "I'm waiting you outside, go and look around". never been with us.
secondly the restaurant that we had lunch was in a bad neighborhood and a bad place to eat.
And we had lunch at almost 3.30 PM.
beside these the historical sites we had visited was amazing. every one should visit. but not with this tour.
This tour exceeded our expectations. We were able to appreciate the different pyramid complexes and how they are situated within Giza’s sprawling desert landscape. The guide and driver were first-rate. Highly recommended.
Overall, this met our requirements of a day in Cairo seeing as many pyramids we could see. We started with Dashur, and got to go inside the Red Pyramid - highly recommend and it's included in the ticket. We saw the Bent Pyramid as well, but did not go inside as the guide said we didn't have enough time. Then we stopped at "Memphis" which is basically an open air museum. Then onto Saqqara and Giza. At Giza, we went to the 3 high pyramids and rode a camel. Like I said, overall this was what we wanted, but we do have 2 complaints and they are worth noting for future tourists booking.
1) our driver was absolutely crazy. I know Egypt has wild drivers, but there were at least 4 close calls with merging a bunch of lanes, slamming on brakes and unnecessarily fast acceleration. Just think the tour company should know, especially when they're transporting tourists all around.
2) we're pretty sure our tour guide ripped us off with the camel ride. Previously we were told the camel ride should be about $10 for 15 min ride. When we got to the camels, our guide told us it was 900 EGP per person. Both of us were shocked (cause that's around $30 per person). We pushed back a little and he told us it was government regulated and that's the price. We only had $50 and he took it from us and put it in his pocket. We never saw him pay the camel guy and "negotiate" for us like he said he was going to. We think he just paid them the minimum and kept the rest. Unfortunate and spoiled the end of our time at Giza.
It was one of the best tours that I ever have had and it was because of our kind tour leader; Mr. Essam. He was very knowledgeable and explain things in the best format. Beside tour leading, he is a very good photographer and took a lot of nice photos from us. He really cares about us, for example when he found that we did not have breakfast, prepared delicious cookies and coffee to eat on the way to Giza. I think he loved his job and because of this he was trying to make everything in the best way. Thanks him for making a wonderful day and also thanks to our driver Mr Tamer that we felt safe among other drivers who were driving very crazy 😊. I 100% recommend Mr Esssam and Tamer.
I was very disappointed with the Private Day Trip to the Giza Pyramids, Memphis City, Dahshur, and Saggara Pyramids that we attended on Wednesday, accompanied by Nasser as our guide and Ahmed as our driver.
Regrettably, the service provided did not meet the expectations set by the glowing reviews of the tours. The primary issue was communication; Nasser's command of English was insufficient, impeding our ability to understand and engage with the historical significance of the sites visited. His explanations were brief and inadequate, leaving us to wander without insight or context.
Although I chose this company despite the higher cost, anticipating a superior experience, the tour did not justify the expense. I am conflicted about seeking compensation, as I am sympathetic to Nasser's position, yet I believe there is a need for significant improvement in his english and guide skills. It is crucial not just for the sake of future clients, but also to ensure the value of their services aligns with the price.
It is my hope that this feedback will be constructive, preventing others from facing a similar situation where the premium price does not equate to a premium service.

Mahmoud was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide who made the whole day a very special experience! The driver Hanni was also very professional. Overall a great tour and would highly recommend.
My guide Entissar was very friendly, very knowledgeable and has good English. The tour started at 8:30am and continued till 5pm.
The pyramids at Giza and the sphinx are excellent. You are given the option of buying a ticket to go into the big Pyramid (E£300, c €10). It is a difficult uphill walk in a narrow hot chamber, so not for everyone, but what an experience.
I was then driven to a viewing location to get photos but it was a bit too far away for a good photograph and not at a great angle. The photo location at the Sphinx was much better.
I then went to see the other pyramids at Saqqara and Dahshur, these are relatively close to each other (5Km) but I was to tired to go into the last one 65m downhill in a small narrow chamber.
I was also brought to a very interesting children's carpet making factory, where there was no pressure to buy anything but there was a private guide and a small drink so it makes it very difficult to say no!
The bottle of water I was given was long gone, so bring more and toilet paper!
The statue of Ramses in Memphis is amazing, do go to see it!
The dinner was good but only at 3:30pm, a bit late, and does not include a drink which was very disappointing.
Unfortunately, the trip was made not nice by locals constantly looking for money for small things like telling you to mind you head on the way in and taking a photo of you.
Overall very interesting, but a long day and lots of avoiding locals. No drink included with the meal was a huge disappointment.
Hamdu was our tour guide and he made our day absolutely AMAZING!!! He’s very knowledgeable, fun, flexible and an excellent photographer!! We got to see so much and never felt rushed. Lunch was included and it was so worth it! I would highly recommend this tour and request Hamdu for your tour guide!!
Great tour of the pyramid sites in the a Cairo area. We had a good driver with a clean, cool, modern car and a knowledgeable guide who spoke good English. They also purchased us plenty of water for the day, which was a nice touch.
There were just two of us guests for this tour, so it truly was a private tour. The company was flexible with the pickup time and even dropped me off at a different location from my pickup place, which was appreciated. We had plenty of time to tour each of the sites, nothing felt rushed, and our guide even took good, unique photos of us. One thing we really liked was that they never asked for tips or positive trip reviews, something that many other companies do. Only once did he ask simply for an honest trip review, which I am happy to provide here. Thank you for your professionalism with this. Also, although the guide offered the usual perfume and cotton shop stops, it was never pushed on us and we felt comfortable to decline these, as necessary. If you’re not interested, please let your guide know. We also asked to grab lunch (at the end of the tour) to go, in order to get back to our hotel sooner. We appreciate their flexibility and understanding with this. Overall great tour and great value! It beats being on one of the large tour buses! Thank you
This was a magical tour. Experiencing ancient Egyptian history in this way brought it to life. The tour was well designed and organized and complemented by the delight of cruising down the Nile. The quality of the accommodations on the Nile Crown way surpassed my expectations.
Saqqara, Dahshur, Memphis City are worth going for. Usually, people just visit Giza Pyramids and skip these other great sites from Egyptian past. Zaineb, my guide was very knowledgeable about Egypt history. Tour was great and car was quite comfortable.
However, note that Ticket Booths at these sites only accept Credit Cards and CASH is not acceptable. So, even though if your Entry Ticket is included in the tour price, you may need to pay the cost on your CC and the Guide will reimburse you with Cash. Overall, no impact but you need to just double check with guide before you leave hotel.
We managed to see all the major pyramid sights in one day. Our guide Entessar was very knowledgeable.

Our guide (Mira) and driver (Mahmoud) arrived to collect us punctually. Mira was very friendly and fun, gave us a good introduction to the Pyramids and took great photos. Lunch was marvellous.
The tour included trips to a Papyrus shop (which was informative) and carpet shop, and there was little time left at Memphis and Dashur. Other reviews suggest these always happen, so why not be honest with people and manage expectations?
If you want a swift visit to key sites and fab photos there, this is the tour for you. If you want time to get up close to the pyramids, maybe you need something different.
I enjoyed the tour and had the opportunity to visit many places. We even spent more time than the given for this tour, thanks go to my guide and the driver. I was asked if I wanted to visit the papyrus store so it is up to you. If you do the same tour, take into account that the entrance to the bent pyramid is included and it is quite nice and challenging too so save some time for this. I am not sure about the entrance to the red pyramid (did not have much time at the end to check) but I think this as well is for free or included with the main ticket to visit the area.
The only thing I would suggest is to include a drink with lunch. It is strange to add the lunch option and then it does only include the food hahaha.

The overall tour was very nice and knowledgable, included very comfortable AC car, certified driver (Mahmoud). So the tour part was 5*
BUT: You need to be clear with your tourgide ahead you if want to go shopping or not, otherwise they bring you all around. We found out later that the tourguides got ~50% comission of all your purchase in these stores, so think twice when you hear this is a "trusted" place to buy, eg papyrus pictures for 120$ (bargained price from 350$) when few cities away same product is only 45$(!!!)
We made a full tour of Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur Pyramids, plus Memphis museum (Ramses II statue), papyrus shop (on our request, appreciated!) and lunch. We had a great time with our guide Soad.
This was an excellent trip, with a comfortable private vehicle taking us to all the different sites - something that would have been a hassle on our own. Souad was a really great guide, eager to impart her knowledge and able to answer all our questions. Thanks so much!
