Exceptional Guide with Lots of Information
My guide was amazing. He knew a lot about the history and construction of the pyramid along with random facts. He also took pics of me while doing the tour. As a solo traveler, this is the best you can ask for.

I could not have asked for a better experience while on my layover in Egypt. The pyramids were beautiful and the camel ride was fun. My tour guide Nada went above and beyond to make my experience special and one I will never forget!

A great Half-Day at the Pyramids with Ahmed
Ahmed Elsayed and his driver picked us up on time at our hotel in Giza in a comfortable car for our half-day visit to the Great Pyramids. Ahmed keept everyone engaged throughout the day. He's genuinely knowledgeable and remarkably attentive. He made sure myself, my wife, and teenage daughter understood everything, adjusting his explanations for all levels of interest. Polite, professional, and deeply knowledgeable. We'd book with Ahmed again in a heartbeat!

Good service
Monica was very patient with us , as we delayed a bit in the morning. She was good guide and made sure we were safe throughout the tour. She was helpful with pics as well. Would definitely recommend her for a good tour of the pyramids

This guide is excellent,...
This guide is excellent, he takes his time to explain everything. Easy to understand. The only thing we didn't like was being taken to places that were designed to make you buy things.

Great half day tour, but skip the optional shop visit at the end
Great tour by Hadeer! It was not too short but thankfully not that long so as to avoid the mid day sun (I was here in late August). While the main stops for the tour were worth it, the last stop at the perfume and papyrus shop are not. I was given the option to skip but decided to check it out anyways since the included lunch wasn't yet ready by the time we left the necropolis. Other than that, this is a great half day tour for those looking for a lighter activity while in Cairo.

Aya is the best!
Aya was the most amazing guide, very knowledgeable, will be booking and looking for Aya next time we are in Egypt. Aya made us feel safe and provided many tips for travelling through Egypt. Having someone like Aya is a must when completing tours of the Pyramids or any other attractions. Such a blessing that we met Aya and look forward to another trip to Egypt!

People Also Ask
Can tourists visit the Sphinx?
Yes, tourists can visit the Sphinx. It’s part of the Giza Pyramids complex outside Cairo: Many experts believe that the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Khafre, who built the second of the three major pyramids, created the Sphinx. Most people walk around the sculpture after seeing the pyramids and take trick photos.
Why should people visit the Great Sphinx?
The Great Sphinx, along with the pyramids it guards, is one of the world’s most iconic sights. It likely dates back more than 4,000 years and has inspired poems, dramas, riddles, and songs for centuries. It would be unusual to visit Cairo and not see this ancient, mysterious sculpture.
Is the Sphinx accessible?
Yes, the Sphinx is reasonably accessible. There’s a smooth path leading around the base of the sculpture. Most travelers who use wheelchairs hire drivers to transport them between different areas of the Giza Pyramids site, which is large, and make plans to use bathrooms at hotels with wheelchair-friendly facilities.
Are there restrooms near the Sphinx?
Yes, there are public restrooms about 800 feet (250 meters) from the Sphinx. However, like the other public bathrooms at the Giza Pyramids site, these are not accessible and can be dirty. Bring your own tissue paper, and don’t forget Egyptian pound coins to tip the attendant.
How should you dress to visit the Sphinx?
Like the rest of the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx is exposed, so sun protection is key. Wear a hat, sunscreen, loose clothes, and comfortable shoes. Female travelers will find the experience much easier if they comply with local dress norms, covering arms, legs, shoulders, cleavage, and belly.
How long does it take to see the Sphinx?
It takes a few minutes to walk around the Sphinx, but most people visit as part of a Giza Pyramids trip and spend one to four hours on site. There is also a panoramic viewpoint where you can take photos kissing the Sphinx or doing yoga Sphinx beside him.
