We had such a great day with Ibrahim. Everything just ran really smoothly from start to finish. He took us to the Grand Egyptian Museum, then the pyramids, camel rides and the pacing was just right. We never felt rushed, and covered all the main highlights, he definitely knew what he was doing! He’s genuinely kind and easy to be around, and he did an awesome job keeping my two boys engaged and entertained the whole time. He was also accommodating and flexible, which we really appreciated. Honestly, I’d highly recommend him.

This trip was a definite 5 Star🌟 adventure. My wife and I were lucky to tour with Mostafa Ortega who is btw connected to Cairo’s academic egyptology experts so we got so much more than we ever expected. Mostafa was so knowledgeable and personable, he really made our visit to the pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum GEM an epic adventure. We also did the camel rides and the exploration of the Khufu pyramid tomb which were both amazing. Our driver “the captain” was always waiting and navigating us safely from place to place. Thanks Viator and especially Mostafa for a super memorable adventure.

Fast-paced half-day (not full-day) guided highlights visit through Giza and Cairo

TL;DR What I would call "half day" (not full day) tour included most of the things in the description, but not everything. Highly recommended for folks, who only have limited time in Cairo (we had only one day). DETAILS * We did visit the site of the Pyramids of Giza and Great Sphynx and looked at them from the outside. Despite the description, Abdul, the guide, has informed us that entering inside the pyramids is no longer being offered. There we also had a camel ride. * Local lunch was OK, but nothing in comparison to the great food we've had at our 5-star Rixos hotel * The visit to Egyptian Museum was great, but like everything in the tour took half the time in the description * We've also been taken to papyrus and essence "museums", which were actually shops with the salespeople pushing their respective goods after short demonstration * Since our hotel was far from the market, the guide suggested skipping the visit there, which we complied with since we were tired * Abdul, the guide, was very knowledgeable, but lacked a spark, which could have made his tour more exciting and exhilarating * The car we were in was comfortable, the driver was careful and we were able to leave our things in the car, when didn't need to take them with us on some tour stops

Great all-inclusive tour of the major sites in Cairo

The tour was amazing! Our guide Mohammed Ali took us to all the sites and explained in depth the history and discoveries relating to each one. He was knowledgeable enough to answer all of our questions and fun to talk to. If you want the best price on souvenirs definitely ask him to take you to a shop called Jordi downtown. They have many high quality souvenirs for right around $1 as well as higher priced ones. We wanted to visit all the major historical places in Cairo in one day so we could explore modern Cairo the rest of our trip and this tour did not let us down! The main reasons we chose this specific tour were the sites it visited, the camel ride, hotel pickup, and the fact that admission to all the sites is included. All that to say, I would definitely recommend this tour!

A busy day well spent

Our guide Mohammed Sobhy and his driver, also named Mohammed arrive promptly and we set off into the crazy traffic of Cairo. Our tour began at the downtown Egyptian Museum where the Tut Exhibition is still housed. Having a private guide really makes for an efficient experience as he explains the highlights and we didn’t need to stop and read each explanation. Afterward he suggested a private boat ride on the Nile. It cost an additional $35 USD for each of us and there was not much of the promised commentary provided so wasn’t of much value other that you could say you were on the Nile. We mentioned that we are not particularly interested in shopping so we just did a quick walk through of the Bazaar. After an excellent lunch at a local restaurant Mohammed planned that we’d first go to a jewelry shop to get a personalized item as a souvenir and then to a papyrus shop. These both seemed to us to be more “up selling “ so we requested that we go directly to Giza. We did opt to go into the Grand Pyramid. Tickets are $20 USD each. I wouldn’t recommend this if you are claustrophobic or not physically fit, as the climb inside is narrow and steep, and in fact there is nothing much to see except an small unadorned room. Surprisingly the camel ride was great. You get a wonderful panoramic view of the Pyramids with Cairo in the background and the ride was actually the 15 minutes as promised. And your clothes smell just fine! The day tour ended with our guide taking some excellent photos of us with the Sphinx and the Pyramids in the background before returning us to our hotel. We were also very pleased that Mohammed informed us that the Grand Museum where we had been planning a visit did not have that many exhibits yet, so with his help he arranged a private tour a couple of days later to the Museum of Civilization and the Citadel instead which was also an excellent tour.

Not worth the money for this quality

Tours at the pyramids and the museum was good. But other than that, we haven't seen anything else. Sphinx was 2min stop for photos, no history about it was told. Bazaar was not tour, just unguided free time.
