Our guide, Afifi, was fantastic. Very intuitive and considerate, as well as knowledgeable. We always felt safe. We got to see and explore so much more than we did on our previous day's bus tour to Giza. I would highly recommend.

Travelers praise tour guides for their deep knowledge of Egyptian history, engaging storytelling, and helpfulness, highlighting clear explanations and a friendly demeanor. Drivers are generally described as kind, patient, and professional, offering safe transportation and local insights. However, some travelers flag occasional late arrivals, poor communication, and pushy behavior. Overall, guides and drivers contribute positively to the tour experience despite a few logistical concerns.

SUPER experience, Ahmed was a great driver, fully prepared. He also gave us some hints & tips about visiting and avoiding crowded hours and explained us a bit of what we were seeing around.
After a very disappointing Tour, We decided to cancel and move here in Viator. It was our luck to come across this tour and met our amazing Egyptologist guide - Osama. He actually took us to the sides of the famous sites and showed us other details and artifacts apart from the main ones. He also shared stories and beliefs about the rulers. Ask him anything about Egypt and he knows. The usual tour guide would just leave you in the site without explanation. He also explained the hieroglyphics very well and told the stories on it.
We enjoyed our day better than all other tours we had.
Tip: Whenever youre booking this activity - Just add in notes: To please book your tour guide to be Mohammed Osama.
Mohammed and Mohammed were fantastic. Plenty of knowledge and experience. Made us feel fully informed. Also loved the space given every so often to do our own thing - especially handy for photos. Mohammed was also great at taking pictures.
I'm so glad I booked this tour, the whole process from booking and coordination until dropoff was hassle-free!
First of all, I was in a bit of a time crunch so I mentioned that I cannot handle any delays, and as discussed pickup was on time. Pickup and dropoff is available from your hotel, which is really convenient!
I'm especially thankful for Ahmed, my driver, who was friendly and flexible enough to fit my needs and interests. He also knew about the history and shared interesting facts along the journey. It was good to have someone to drive you around, I'm not new to solo traveling but I see now that it would have been difficult to find my way back to Cairo if I had just relied on Ubers. Towards the end of the tour we really bonded and he was even telling me about his family :)) <3
p.s: i see in some reviews that they were FORCED to visit shops and restaurants, but this was not the case for me. I simply said that I'm not interested.
Highly recommend. Hasim was an incredible guide. An archaeologist and scholar, he knows his information first hand. Both he, and Mohamet, the driver, made this a most memorable exploration of Egyptian history and exploration.
This was a great experience. Saqqara is not a popular name, and I think most tourists miss it and go to Giza.
We were Two and had a car and a guide for us. Speaking of which, our guide Entesar was amazing: she shared stories not only about the places we visited, but about the region, history, etc.
It's summer so it was a bit hot, but the tour provided a bottle of water (we had already one) and Entesar got us some dates cookies!
Getting in thenr de pyramid was quite the experience, and my legs are hurting a day after. So ensure you have comfortable shoes and are ok going though narrow spaces...
100% recommended.
As others mentioned, the driver (Alaa) was late (about an hour), but he apologised and he was very nice with us during our trip. Apart from that everything was nice.
Amazing history and nice drive and scenery. The red pyramid entrance is way better than the one at Giza! Must do!
Alaa (Aladdin) was an extremely patient and friendly driver. I did the half day tour to Saqqara/Dhashur/Memphis and he took me to each site and more comfortably and safely. I'd definitely recommend.
He did ask me at one point if I wanted to visit a carpet museum, to which I replied "no" and that was that. (I'd read reviews from some people saying they were driven round tourist trap shops).
Would definitely recommend, just make sure you know what you want to see and where you want to go - Alaa's English was quite poor (we communicated with Google translate), so consider this a personal driver/Uber as opposed to a tour.
Sidenote: I only paid for car+driver, there are also car+driver+guide options but I cannot speak for those
Excellent driver, very polite, and did not hurry me at all during the tour. I don't have a single bad thing to say about the tour in general.
A really special experience that stays with me months after I returned from the visit to Saqqara. The driver and guide I was lucky enough to travel with, Mr. Hisham, was very knowledgeable and a great driver. He was helpful, positive and friendly from the first meeting to the end of the trip. I would highly recommend him to other visitors for a comfortable and interesting trip to the Egyptian countryside. As a female solo traveler he also made me feel very safe something that was valuable to me. Overall a great experience!
Informative, interesting and amazing. Our guide Monica was friendly and very knowledgeable. Recommended
If you’re planning a tour in Egypt, you should definitely book it here. I highly recommend it. Whenever I had questions, they always responded kindly and did their best to help me. Thank you.
It was easy and pleasant trip. Very interesting historical sites and knowledgable operator. Was just right and not boring.
I didn't have a good experience with Emo tours. 1st I waited 35 min for the pick up, even when I was proactively contacted the company trying to find information. I had to get help from a Egyptian person to contact the company and be able to tell me that they are late. And of course I had to give money to that person.
When they arrived the guide told me that they inform the company fer the delay but didn't tell me.
The tour itself was ok. I had a way better guide the previous day with another company. In the price a bottle of water was included but never got one even though the guide assured me about it. I'm glad that I had brought mine because I really needed one after the hike. Driver was good and professional even though he didn't speak English. It might be an isolated event, but this is what I experienced.
Confirmation was prompt and the pickup was on time. I messaged the tour provider the day before, but they never responded. Upon arrival, the driver had to park at the end of the bridge because the Hilton didn't allow him to drive onto the hotel grounds. While he wasn't initially sure of the locations for two of the tombs, we found them after he asked for directions.
Note to future travelers: Bring your own water, as none was provided. I also paid a total of 50 EGP for parking at Saqqara and Dahshur. Additionally, the driver asked for 10 EGP to tip the guard at Dahshur; I gave him 50 EGP and told him to keep the change for other tips. I only witnessed him tipping once, though he claimed at the end of the tour that he had distributed the full amount to various guards.
It was a very nice tour with a great guide and driver. Pick up was on time and the tour guide was knowledgeable.
The guide was very nice but the trip was very confusing. A driver picked me up at my hotel and didn’t say anything. About a half hour later we picked up the guide. When we got to Saqara, the guide told the ticket agent what I wanted and I paid with a credit card. The guide took one of the tickets. Apparently I was paying for the car to enter. She never asked or told me. I noticed because the price of the tickets was different than the total. When we got to the second set of pyramids, the bent and red, the same thing happened again. When I asked her about it, she said it was only 25 Eqyptian pounds which is only about 25 cents. The other time I think it was 100. The money really wasn’t the point. It was the fact that I had already paid $65 for the car and driver. I contacted the tour operator and they said they would check. I never heard back from them.
We had a very nice time visiting Saqqarah Pyramids. Our driver was very friendly and helped us with everything. He was very flexible, even if sometimes we took longer on one site, he never rushed us and always told us to take our time and enjoy.
We recommend 100% !!
The best tour I made in Egypt (jan. 2026). My driver Eid was patient, helpful and nice. If you read something about Saqqara and Dahshur you can definitely spare your guide. Buy the all-inclusive ticket + pyramid, and you can spend all your time in saqqara. We skipped Menphis and in Dahshur just visited the red pyramid.
Wonderful half day tour to, Memphis,Sakkara, Dahshur. Our driver Ahmad was on time, spoke good English and is a very good and careful driver. He also gave us some pointers as we choose not to have a guide. If you can try and book him you will have a great tour.
Shout out to our driver Mahran or Marhan whatever his name is, he is doing amazing job, showing us around giving us lot of information about the place and teach us how to prevent scam. I will definitely use emotour service again!
Going inside the Pyramids are so much fun and adventurous! Driver was great! He gave me some information of the sights we visited and the towns we drove through. Car was comfortable and had AC.
Services were good driver was friendly and helpful very convenience on timing and the trip booking they were communicating very well organized and safe to travel.
This was an excellent value tour. The driver was very good and took us to all the sites. He was very accommodating in allowing us enough time at each site. Excellent!
We booked the option with driver only. Captain Saeed was amazing. Took us to all the good spots and helped us navigate all the sites.
The guide, Hazem, and his driver, Abdullah, gave us a very informative tour and tailored the itinerary to our interests.
Tour guide was the best I had while in Egypt. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and understood group dynamics. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend Emo tours, and here are my reasons why:
- My pick up at the hotel was 20 minutes late, and there was no mode of communication. I rang the support number several times but no one picked up. It was by chance that I saw that the driver was able to find me in the lobby
- We headed to the Sakkara temple complex which was uneventful
- Aladdin, the tour guide, was informative about the history of the step pyramid and showed led me inside Pyramid of Teti
- Aladdin was helpful with taking photos and had some good photo suggestions
However, this is where the tour takes a turn for the worse
- We have a quick walk around the complex, and Aladdin suggests skipping the Red Pyramid/Bent pyramid as there is nothing to see there, and instead going to museums with more interesting artefacts. Having trust in Aladdin, I accepted his advice (mistake)
- We go to these various museums in and around Cairo, which turn out not to be museums at all. There are no historical artefacts here - just shops designed to sell to tourists
- I have no doubt Aladdin received commission for this on the side
- No where are these shops described in the original itinerary
The frustration comes from the fact that time was taken away from actual sightseeing to be shown shops for financial gain of the tour guide Aladdin. We also did not complete the Shakkur site in hindsight, leaving most of the itinerary as described in the Agoda website unvisited.
I was warned of the infamous scam culture surrounding Egypt but I thought I would be safe with a well reviewed tour company. I paid $130 for this tour and regret booking with Emo tours. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this company to others.
Driver was excellent. Gave historical context, helped buy tickets, very flexible with time at destinations, and was on time in the morning. Highly recommend!
