Top Cairo Private Sightseeing Tours

This was a very pleasant tour. My husband and I were taken to the various locations by a great driver in a comfortable air conditioned car. We also had the opportunity to stop at three different artisan shops- for jewelry, papyrus and fragrance oil, which worked out well since I had been wanting to purchase a cartouche necklace but a bit unsure of where would be reputable to do so. Lunch was a buffet, which had a lot of options, and the camel ride, while quite brief was good. Our tour guide, Anan, was a highly educated Egyptologist and spoke excellent English. She was also able to share some interesting stories about Egyptian culture and her experiences growing up in the country, and she made us feel comfortable spending the day with her. I do wish the camel ride would have been longer- it was so fun to be riding through the desert- but it seems all the various tours are doing essentially the same camel riding stop, which is mostly a photo op, and we did get some great photos. We had the opportunity to go inside the step pyramid, bent pyramid and red pyramid. We did not have a chance to go into either of the Great pyramids, so I am not sure if that is an option- although our guide said there is really nothing to see inside either. I think it is worth it to book the private tour because you are not straining to hear what the guide is saying, nor getting lost in a crowd.

We had a wonderful experience with Mr Hossam as our tour guide. He is extremely knowledgeable, polite, well-mannered, helpful and cooperative. He explained everything so well and made sure we were comfortable and enjoyed every moment of our tour. His friendly attitude, professionalism and willingness to help made our experience even more enjoyable and memorable. He was always approachable and happy to assist us whenever needed. A big thank you to Mr Hossam for making our tour so pleasant, smooth and comfortable. We truly appreciate his efforts and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent tour guide. We had a lovely day with our guide Ahmed and our driver Ahmed. We went to Memphis, Saqqara and the Pyramids. Our guide was an archaeologist and he was very knowledgeable, explaining everything and answering our questions as we went along. We also visited a perfume and papyrus shop. We tried some fragrances and saw how papyrus paper was made. We didn't feel any pressure to buy anything. Despite the chaotic Egypt traffic, our driver took as smoothly to all the places. It was our first day in Cairo and definitely a day we'll spent.
